- Limit is very quickly reach when going off road with this bike. The difference of speed with the enduro bikes (@0:42) says it all.. Not made for that.
Too much gas and you loose traction. Not enough and the engine stall.

Crazy that this video does not have more views!? I was searching for videos of the capability the Svartpilen has offroad and this is by far the best video showing what this bike can actually do offroad. Good stuff!

401 Supermoto would be legit...and finally be another option to the amazing (...but extremely outdated) DRZ 400 SM.
Clearly not it's natural habitat but very impressive. Thanks for posting. It would be great for your average forest service roads on a camping trip. Especially when you would be traveling on a fair amount of tarmac to get there. Good to know it'll do more if asked.

Great video, definitely gave a run for it's money. I think with hard knobby tires it would actually be versatile.
The primary problem with riding the Svartpilen on dirt is the footpeg location. The secondary problem is the seventeen inch front wheel. The Svartpilen and Vitpilen are configured as road racers... footpeg location is major. Also... the chainguard is wholly inadequate for keeping dirt off the chain.
The PIRELLI Scorpion Rally STR are the best Allround M+S Tires you can get !!! Even many BMW R 1250 GS and R 1300 GS Motor Bikes , are equipped or converted with these Tires !!! The main Purpose of use is 70 % Tarmac and 30 % light Offroad (No thick mud or/and Rocks !)

They are the best in Rain and cold Weather (CANADA!) !!! Your riding offroad Skills are phenomenal !!! BUT maltreating the precious HUSQVARNA only for...let´s guess three Miles above Rocks etc. ...is "damaging" every Motor Bike extremly and means comparable wear and tear 30000 Miles on normal Tarmac !!! I couldn´t do this to any Motor Bike and additionally I´ve not the courage / skills...but YOU !!!

Yes! That is awesome! Have you thought about putting taller tires to give you a bit more clearance?
Pro: it CAN go offroad and hold it's ground
Con: it's not the ideal offroad bike, far from it.
Conclusion: multipurpose will never excel at anything, but it will do what it has to do.

Just got the 22 year model and it shut-off mid ride for no reason. Checked with a dealer and they got now clue about it. Did you, or anyone here with the bike had any issues with this?
Did the front fender clearance issue present itself ?
