This is probably the hardest mh game ive played, purely because how tanky everything in hub, i can complete hub mission solo in less than 15 minutes in fu to gu, even faster in gen 5, with rank appropriate gear ofc, but 3u constantly took me 15 minutes even when im using high rank gear tackling low rank hub, especially the underwater combat, it can reach 20 minutes! Its probably because switch axe isnt that strong in early game because the weapon selection simply shit, or maybe because i stick to one weapon unlike when playing other mh, farming in this game is quite a torture due to how slow it is, at least in p3rd and fu in ppsspp emulator, theres a fast forward feature, it keeps may sanity throughout the game especially when grinding tails, ores, or simply visiting farms. I probably need to change my weapon and see if my time improved.
Funny enough monsters die way faster in 3U than they ever did for me in the past two gens. Switch Axe can be rough at times but later switch axes can be obscenely strong, especially when you land your unload phial.
@@TemplarBlonic thats why i need to change my weapon to see what actually makes my hunt time so slow, im still a noob when it comes to switch axe certainly, i only played it in sunbreak (feels like different weapon altogether anyway) and frontier for a short while, its also really hard to use it in frontier lol despite how simple it is, my time with ls in that game is much faster,
@@manikaditha6308 The SA in general is slow and is a big learning curve, especially if you come from New World MH. It has such high damage potential but you have to have Hammer-user levels of area awareness and practice to get the optimal damage. I suppose me being a Hammer main makes it come easier to me. Try something like Greatsword or Hammer first!

Turns out im just bad at underwater combat, i forgot to mention it, what i meant was underwater combat that took 15-20 minutes, like laggi tier monster, i tried to use low rank hbg qurupeco with high rank wroggi set against low rank hub laggi, took another 20 minutes. My previous hunt using switch axe also took another 20 minutes with cat SA (low raw, but good para, power phial, more like low rank weapon tbh) and full jaggi set. I hate underwater combqt, i destroyed land laggi land tho, way easier.
@@manikaditha6308Never said you were bad. Underwater combat is an… acquired taste. Difficult to master. Early SA also had some peculiar combos with some having higher elemental and others having higher raw. Give it time. You’ll master it!
