cause they take forever to create things, it has to go through a lot of people (which is dumb) so unfourtunetly it takes forever, they could easily do it tho they are just lazy
So basically it appears that Colossal Failure released their game completely broken with the likely expectation that modders would save their game for free. It's unethical at best.
Thank you for this info, makes the game a lot better. There are some new mods I came across, RealisticDensity, Cities2Mods RenterAndLandValuePolicy or LandValueOverhaul (is similar to the Cities2Mods one), and Info Loom which does look really interesting.
All these mods were supposed to be in the base game! Or at least released within a few weeks after the game was released. And finally Paradox could hire these modders to expedite the updates.
Once you get the hang of it, creating waterfront roads with retaining walls isn't that hard in vanilla CS2. Although the mod most certainly makes it easier.
I would like a mod test fix de road "frontiers", this is very buggy, where one start and ends... and cant be fixed as in CS1 as far as I looked out. And, of course, multi-plataform metro stations... I can't believe that isn't (again) in base game, how can you build a efficient transport network without transfer stations.
I'll be waiting for official modding support, mainly because the game is too graphics heavy for my GTX1660Super card, so adding more strain is not really an enjoyable option. Hope I can afford a GPU upgrade by the time modding support is added.
I would like to try the first person mod. It reminds me of streets of simcity/sim-comter, that you could use sc2000 cities and play on it. It would be great that one of future dlc they provide this, with the possibility to create "mission packs" or visit other peoples cities. sc4 had an expansion that you could drive and have some missions on the city. It would be great something of this stile on cs2.
There is now a better line tool and a new adult tree mod with a forest brush and the ability to plop trees at 3 different growth stages. Sorry I can't remember what it's called at the moment
*Question: Is there a "Node manager" yet?* _(to be able to move nodes again)_ *Question: Is there a "Traffic manager" yet?* _(to be able to correctly set up traffic lights and signage for intersections)_ *Question: Is there a mod that fixes zoning yet?* _(I'm just not willing to play when a perfect square on flat terrain results in broken zoning... no matter the lame excuses.)_ I'm so sick of Collossal dis-Order that I just can't even be bothered checking what mods exist. This is the first time I've checked in on the progress on this dumpster fire since release. The "Ducks in a row" seems great... the rest is just... meh... so secondary on my list of critical mods.
The way that modders name theirs mods its so frustrating. Idk why they do it. But its never just names star was skin. They alwas name it "mask guy space drama. Like wtf who does that. Only dude who doesnt do this is some guy who makes the dragon ball mods i use in some games
@guanhuaxu364 yes there is, because the functionality of that mod is not available in the vanilla road tools. You can't specify which lanes go where, you can't create timed traffic lights, you can't alter road markings, you can't set speed limits - all of these have already been deemed essential by the community because TMPE was a Top 10 Most Popular mod on Steam for CS1 since it was first uploaded. I don't think you know what you're talking about.
Well I'm glad to let you know there is a mod that's an early version of traffic manager..it's called traffic light enhancement...it includes seperate lane control tools
@@CityRatMusic no steam workshop is a huge deal breaker too. I'm not confident in the paradox alternative. It's pandering to the console peasants to the detriment of the pc again.
cities 2 is a dead game. how is it possible that more people play the older version than the new one 😎 . The game's creators destroyed the game themselves by not putting the workshop on Steam.
It always amazes me 1 dude can make a mod in a few days it takes devs months or even years to figure out.
cause they take forever to create things, it has to go through a lot of people (which is dumb) so unfourtunetly it takes forever, they could easily do it tho they are just lazy
like the hot coffee mod in gta
So basically it appears that Colossal Failure released their game completely broken with the likely expectation that modders would save their game for free. It's unethical at best.
bethesda has been doing it for years

The devs are fixing the performance issue maybe it will become a thing in the first feature update
Once you get the hang of it, creating waterfront roads with retaining walls isn't that hard in vanilla CS2. Although the mod most certainly makes it easier.
yea but thats the point the game should of had these simple things in at the start , a lot of stuff that should of been in base game
its still very annoying
Exciting to hear about these mods, good video!
Great vid, mate. The app really made life easier for me.

I can't help getting the vibe of a news reporter with his voice xD
you don't work for Nine News do you? O.o
(edit: did not realise you were kiwi too!
Hahah nope. I’ve never set foot in a news room in my life! 🥝 🖤
hi mayors, anyone know if "ducks in a row" would clash with "line tool lite" please? appreciated
is there a visual mod yet for the specialized industries , they all look the same . thats what holding me back from the game

Finally, there are mods!
Problem with elementary schools is their size. I hope it will be possible to make them smaller.
One year later they finally made a few smaller ones
help, when im turning the game on my mods doesnt work,i need to restart every mod and reset the game
There is now a better line tool and a new adult tree mod with a forest brush and the ability to plop trees at 3 different growth stages. Sorry I can't remember what it's called at the moment
I want that doggo mod
I can only click the back back when the game is unpaused, it’s that a bug?
Wait mods are out on paradox’s?
is there a mod to unlock signature building without the requirements?
Do you have any mod for new maps?
I got some bad news, apparently Paradox won’t let you mod no more with their latest new update.
What graphics card are you using?

There should be a play as Spider-Man mod
Hey Jumbo, do you think mods might actually save this game and its functionality?
14 workers for 2000 students? Please do we need an adjustment, something like customize it! CS1 mod.
They shouldve told the community that mods wouldnt be available at lauch. I dont trust the developers anymore.
The way that modders name theirs mods its so frustrating. Idk why they do it. But its never just names star was skin. They alwas name it "mask guy space drama. Like wtf who does that. Only dude who doesnt do this is some guy who makes the dragon ball mods i use in some games
Dont forget us who do the research and reverse engineering
pfff.... so - instead of having Steam Workshop support... they just threw their hands up and didn't give a toss.
Well done "devs".
just tell me why I have to be on console bru😢😢
So the modders did in a week what the devs coudnt do in years? Great.
Mods in a broken game? Wake me up in three years.😂
What no CS2 version of Traffic manager.
So glad I didnt buy CS2.
there is no need for that

is there a mod that makes the simulation actually relevant?...
Nah, this game sucks. Terrible City building game.
line tool lite is better that ducks in a row
