We do INDEED need more songs like this. Lovebites touches the very core of our souls. At age 73, I grew up with rock based music, all genres, rock n roll, hard rock, blues, jazz, and later, classical music and metal. Lovebites is on another level. Keep in mind the band composes their own music, scores, arranges this, and also writes their poetic profound lyrics, translating from their native Japanese, into English. Lovebites to me, is like angels from heaven. There are no words I can write that express how deeply I admire, respect, and love these amazing, classy, elegant, virtuoso master musicians. Lovebites deserves world wide recognition. In my personal opinion, Lovebites has no equal. One master piece after another, after another, indeed. Your review is superb. Right on. Greetings from an old Texas farmer.
Right there with you. We'll said! I cannot fully express my insane love for this group. The ultimate in every category. Their songs go from angelic to the heaviest ballads of metal power Vognarian opera! We mortals could only dream of such talent...and here it is in front center as purely perfection can be! I simply love this band!
When the trailer for this DVD was released. Every one of the WOLFPACK members went crazy knowing that "A frozen serenade" would be played live. See Miyako. Playing the piano while her beautiful guitar rests on her belly was a unique moment. That baby grew up among heavenly melodies.
Two of my favorite ballads from the band. They both display Asami's vocals, especially Edge of the World. And the combination of piano and acoustic guitar on Frozen Serenade is just magical. Thanks for rhe reaction!! 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Great reaction, you're right when you say that every song from this fantastic Band is a masterpiece, these girls are passion and pure musical talent, it's a pleasure to listen to their music. I Love this Band, I Love Lovebites!🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🐺❤️🔥🇯🇵🇮🇹
When "A Frozen Serenade" was first released on the Electric Pentagram album, there were people who said that it was a beautiful song, but that they would never be able to play it live. When it came time to do the 2021 concert, Lovebites gave their reply to those people, "Here, hold my saki!" The truth is that there is no band in the world that is like Lovebites. They take inspiration from the great bands of the past, but they put their own unique spin on it. The result is like you said - masterpieces. I am waiting with bated breath for Feb. 22nd when their new album comes out.
I am constantly awed by all 5 points of this petagram that we call Lovebites! Miho and Haruna are such a creative and consistent rhythm section , and Midori makes me enjoy having my face melted, but Asami and Miyako have the ability to touch my heart with beautifully performed lyrics and those blues inspired solos....just love these ladies! Methinks you will enjoy the other E songs just as much....cheers for the journey!🤘
Brother I can't stop listening to lovebites they possessed me . Really highly talented musicians with perfect taste and choices . And they have their own stamps wherever you will hear their music and songs direct you will recognise them , this is lovebites ,, thank you bro for reacting to by best band
It is great to see you continuing your journey with such emotion and wonderment. You allow me to relive my own first impression of Lovebites when hearing the music they gift us. Thank You. 👹🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺😍💯
THIS is why Lovebites is our favorite band. Because they can do it all. Melt your face, and make you cry. The songwriting is on another level. I haven't heard music this amazing since Symphony X. If you want more emotion... do "Epilogue" next.
You are absolutely right, Cheezy, everything they compose is a masterpiece! These 2 beautifully written power ballads are no exception to that. I agree that we need more music with lyrics like this, thought provoking and uplifting lyrics. Both of these songs feel like multiple songs in one, and I love those dynamics. The interlude in Frozen Serenade with the piano and classical guitar shows that metal music can be beautiful music as well. I personally think speed and power metal are already beautiful music but this proves it to the naysayers.
There you have it buddy a very different side of Lovebites and we aren't done yet. Asami is the one who writes 90% of the lyrics and I have to say she is very poetic and quite inspirational, most of the Lovebites songs are encouraging and uplifting, this is one reason why I will defend these amazing ladies till my last dying breath. You have done one of the Lovebites "E" songs the other two are also masterpieces I will request them next time on Patreon. Trust me ALL of the songs in ALL of Lovebites discography are phenomenal, no fillers, no repeats all incredible in their own specific way. I am totally glad you finally got to these songs and more and more Lovebites.
This group is a phenomenal!!! They have everything: skill, sound, vocal, light, show, power, Cliff Burton's style, Garry Moore' style, rock opera, piano.... UAHHHHHH!! And of cours Japanese fans!!! Not a single phone!!!
These two songs really do showcase the song writing ability as well as the musicianship of Lovebites. I can only assume that inadequate marketing has held them back from becoming much better known. They should be one of the top dozen or so most popular metal bands on earth, yet millions of hard music fans around the world have never even heard of Lovebites.
Some people complain about Asami singing style but man i dont give a shit about those people opinions. For me Asami is a great singer, has great stage presence. She is like a general commanding the Wolfpack. Love this lady so much. Love this band so so much
Lovebites without Asami's voice and stage presence wouldn't be Lovebites, and I've seen some comments about her style but what I hear is a change of tone depending on the song they're doing and I think she is awesome, she does high notes low notes from one to the other easily and pitch perfect can hold even the high notes like f5 for long periods and even when you hear her accent, which I find endearing, you still hear the clear even and powerful tones. She is awesome it's that simple.
Just ignore it, looks like they only heard 3-4 songs from the yt channel. Agree, maybe they are not to listen to the albums, also this kind of music not for everyone. I'm personally like this style of music.
It's cool you made it around to these 2 awesome songs! 🤘 Lovebites is simply just a truly amazing band! I love em! We the United is the song they play after Edge of the World... I'm pretty sure... 😉👍
Yes, seems everyone eventually runs out of words of praise for these amazing artists, so all that's left is repeating ourselves, and stunned admiration.. Lovebites photo should appear in the dictionary under Phenominal...
Some people say that Lovebites is a factory of masterpieces. Certainly these two songs are masterpieces. The talent and musicianship of this band is beyond belief. Next recommendations are “Shadowmaker”, “Epilogue”, “Empty daydream”, “Raise some hell” (all live)

If it wasn't for Love Bites, which has a ballerina and a classical pianist, I don't think such an artistic masterpiece of heavy metal could have been created. And the level of all members is too high! Lyric writing, composition, performance technique... A metal band with such talent is a miracle.
Yet another great review of two fantastic songs. The people that got to see these performances live are truly fortunate to see such awesome talent. Can't wait to get the new music in about 6 weeks.
Edge of the world = genius masterpiece! It's their 'november rain' It's their 'stairway to heaven' Never seen metal band on these days creating ballad stuff like lovebites did.. These ladies are world class badass 🤘
"A Frozen Serenade" -live- is their total song for me, showing all their skills in the most beautiful way. So glad to see someone who seems my twin when he reacts to these ladies. As I said in another posts, I've NEVER been a heavy/power metal enthusiast, liked some thing from here, some other thing from there... Of course, i like some Maiden/Priest/Helloween and stuff like that as almost everyone, but it's not my style at all. Grow up listening and playing guitar with Motley Crue, ACDC, Skid Row, The Cult, Megadeth, Testament, Metallica... As I said once in the past, i was happy in my hard rock world and one day these tiny killer women arrived and totally changed the game for me. Waiting for their new album so bad ♥️
Two killer tracks, with once again all girls shining, and fantastic moving lyrics in both of them. Would love to hear these tunes on American radio/online so younger people could appreciate melody and musicianship...guess I have to settle for youtube. If you havent already heard Epilogue....more Miyako channeling Gary Moore, with a great one from Midori to cap it. Great job once again enjoying these two.👍
Great reaction - I loved the very first moment where you just stopped and looked at the camera. I knew exactly what you were feeling - I still feel that every time I hear this version of this song. It's an amazing, amazing piece of music.
Asami writes most of the lyrics, Miho did some of them, Miyako too. Midori writes her own solos and Miyako does most of the rest the music-thats why she is my favorite. Miya creates real magic in her own home studio, piano, guitar, she even plays bass a little (and drumms even)-pure genius. Haruna on drumms dude-pure destruction. Mao is the 6th memeber-that dude does arrangements, programming, helps with songwriting and keyboards too, recording in studio... Mikko Karmila - mixing and Mika Jussila - mastering are duo of masterminds (they are mixing for Nightwish too for example, they are one of the best people in business for sure for that work). New bassist Fami had released her own album last year (at the age of just 21) which she wrote, produced, played bass and sang-she is a monster on that bass. All of them play their instruments from the young age. What to do next-Swan Song with Chopin intro of course. Miyako showed real power here.
Like I told you last time; They are the most talented band walking this earth. The last time I heard a band this talented was Dream Theater. Jinjer is up there also, but LOVEBITES are beyond great. I think with their new song they now have 49 songs and 2 cover songs. The more songs that you hear and the more times you listen to each song, you will agree with me. I also hear Queensryche during Frozen Serenade. People compare Miyako and Midori to Judas Priest, Iron Maiden etc. but I think they are more like Queensryche due to the harmonies. BTW - after Asami stops singing in Frozen Serenade I get big Dream Theater vibes.. Cool reaction like always.
@@salsaucedo I was thinking 49 songs with Judgement Day and now 50 songs. 3 covers? I have Helloween and JP covers. What is the third? Not Asami singing with Halestorm..? Now that I think of it, they did the song without Halestorm during the Invitation To The Theater show.
@@LongStroke01 Guys, however you count, first add the other 9 songs of "Judgement Day" album, which are all great. Since your comments are old enough to be after the single, but before the album. Tomorrow, we'll also get some classical (not metal classic, but piano classic) covers from Miyako (have only heard "Eagle Fly Free" until now): 1. Battery (Original by Metallica) 2. Far Beyond The Sun (Original by Yngwie Malmsteen) 3. Eagle Fly Free (Original by Helloween) 4. The Loner (Original by Gary Moore) 5. Burn (Original by Deep Purple) 6. Addicted (Original by Lovebites)
About crowd chanting: It got even better! In a more recent performance, she only had to lift her arm once to get the crowd chant like crazy! Our little stage general Asami!
Double whammy, two masterpieces--I'd be exhausted doing first reactions to both of these in one go. Yes, they are a masterpiece factory, but FS is at it's own level, up there with the dozen greatest masterpieces in rock history.
Wow - talk about bringing out the big guns! You've picked 2 of the most exquisite and epic ballad like songs of their immense arsenal. And yes you've entered the final stage of LOVEBITES addiction where its the disbelieving shake of the head and sighs as you rewind for another - "I must hear that again". Damn they're good! ...'king brilliant. 😊😊
And now the best bass player on the planet (Fami) has joined the best band in the world!! Shit man things can only get better! Rock on wolfpack! Rock on LOVEBITES!!
The song they went into right after Edge was "We the *United", one of their biggest songs, with an almost two minute guitar duet. That's how they ended a two -hour concert.
"Edge Of The World" is from the "Five Of A Kind - Live In Tokyo 2020" held by LOVEBITES at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on February 21, 2020. Available in digital, cd, dvd and blu ray format. Please subscribe to their channel (if you haven't): ua-cam.com/channels/90wxogt_sQrP0Os0HT-xuw.html The setlist is: 1.Thunder Vengeance 2.Holy War 3.Don’t Bite The Dust 4.Rising 5.Raise Some Hell 6.Break The Wall 7.Shadowmaker 8.Piano Solo (Etude Op.10, No.12) 9.Swan Song 10.Addicted 11.Dancing With The Devil 12.Signs Of Deliverance 13.M.D.O. 14.Golden Destination 15.When Destinies Align Encore. 16.The Awakening 17.The Hammer Of Wrath 18.Edge Of The World 19.We The United
now that's the way to do a proper reaction. if what you just heard blows you way - listen to it again. music by mao , lyrics by asami. the song that was kicking in at the end of first song is 'empty daydream'. that is another in their endless line of masterpieces. then to change it up you might try one of their thrash tunes 'm.d.o.' - both live of course. this band should be known around the world
Queensryche were in my opinion the best Metal Band around, in the interval between ' Rage For Order ' and ' Promised Land ', then we know how it ended. These Girls are slowly acquiring that legacy. Right observation my friend.
ummm wow , that was pretty epic. I have to admit I haven't fallen in love with them (please don't crucify me) but these two songs right here were amazing. I'm another step closer that is for sure
Someone once said that it should be considered a crime to let these two girls play guitar together in the same band. They are truly fantastic but I want a shout out for Miho how she plays on that bass, especially in Edge Of The World. Just Out of this world.
This two songs are something else and is almost a sin not to listen this live. Because the studio versions aren't that so f*ching perfect. By the way if you want the de definitive masterpiece you need to check the new Lovebites song judgment Day
As I have said before, I'm not really a big fan of these girls because I feel a lot of their stuff sounds the same... BUT this song is fantastic! Everyone has room to breathe in the song. They all have space to play and the vocals are killer! Great song ladies, I hope you explore this side of your talents a little more. Fantastic.
If you want to try something new there’s a band called Asterism… a three-piece band from Japan with an incredible guitar playing that I think you would enjoy… I recommend a song called Dawn
Hal-ca is one of the most talented Guitar players there is, and she is like 20 years old. Also - The Bass player is phenomenal, even better than Fami if you can believe that. The most talented 3 piece band in my opinion.
Here is something special for Miyako fans (she looks great also in black 😍) : SONIC LOVER RECKLESS / PHOENIX ua-cam.com/video/DXZ-qhxd1VI/v-deo.html Else another "special" Lovebites song would be "Spellbound" where she doesn't play guitar at all, still a great song : Lovebites Spellbound Heavy Metal Never Dies Live In Tokyo 2021 ua-cam.com/video/qG7hwU_RJnE/v-deo.html
This is a masterpiece. They are so talented. M&M are the best dual gitarrist duo. Miho is a bad ass bass player. Asami amazing and then we have the little big engine Haruna ❤❤❤
I think you are my most favorite rector. Your emotions and reactions are exactly the same as what I felt with every song of theirs you review. Lovebites writes masterpiece after masterpiece. I wish the world would wake up and notice. For your next Lovebites song check out one of their old hidden gems that rarely gets reacted to, yet I feel encapsulates the best of every band member. It contains one of Miyako's best guitar solos in my opinion. Do their song "Liar" from their Awake Again studio streaming concert. Use this link: ua-cam.com/video/hOfCUa7kiNY/v-deo.html
Yes, we have to admit that Lovebites is a factory of masterpiece songs. These ladies were so talented and skilled.. damn good👍👍🤘🤘amazing picked, bro👍👍. Try Epiloque, Empty Daydream, same masterpiece.
Asami singing the last "forever" of Edge Of The World is so rnb. I love that part. I could see your pupils open at A Frozen Serenade's intro and Asami's last "once more". 👍
Bands like this only come around onc in 30 years, the writing, then all out talented playing, vocals, drums, stage presents, sound. OMG!! Google uplifting power metal music. There's plenty of it.

Their record label is horrible at promoting them. That's the problem.

Metal + classical = epic 🤘
One of the best guitar solo from Miyako, another one from the song Epilogue.🎸🎸
Two masterpieces of song writing , both musically and lyrics

The 'E' tracks from these women are all highly regarded.

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

If it wasn't for Love Bites, which has a ballerina and a classical pianist, I don't think such an artistic masterpiece of heavy metal could have been created.
And the level of all members is too high!
Lyric writing, composition, performance technique... A metal band with such talent is a miracle.
Yet another great review of two fantastic songs. The people that got to see these performances live are truly fortunate to see such awesome talent. Can't wait to get the new music in about 6 weeks.
🤘🐺💖👸🤘🔆 *LOVEBITES* 🔆

The following song (with a straight transition, no pause) was "We The United", that closed the Encore!
Absolutely masterpiece!!!! No words!!!
.....and Asami....my Asami 💜💚💚🌿💛
Try the other two, " E " songs, " Empty Daydream & Epilogue. " Both beautiful & epic !!! ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘
These 2 songs with Epilogue and Swan Song comprise 4 mega masterpieces of Ladies♥️🎤⭐️🥁🎸🎸🎸🐺🤘
Edge of the world = genius masterpiece!
It's their 'november rain'
It's their 'stairway to heaven'
Never seen metal band on these days creating ballad stuff like lovebites did..
100%
amazing reaction. thanks, mate!
exactamente
possibly their two best songs and performances.
Great job once again enjoying these two.👍
As soon as i saw the thumbnail i knew exactly what i needed: darkness in my room and a glass of cold vodka. Cheers mate!
2 masterpieces in 1 video, nice!🤘🏻🐺🤘🏻
Miyako showed real power here.
amazing band and amazing song 👍
Gary Moore soul went to Japanese woman.....
They have 52 songs and 3 covers
@@salsaucedo I was thinking 49 songs with Judgement Day and now 50 songs. 3 covers? I have Helloween and JP covers. What is the third? Not Asami singing with Halestorm..? Now that I think of it, they did the song without Halestorm during the Invitation To The Theater show.
@@LongStroke01 Guys, however you count, first add the other 9 songs of "Judgement Day" album, which are all great. Since your comments are old enough to be after the single, but before the album. Tomorrow, we'll also get some classical (not metal classic, but piano classic) covers from Miyako (have only heard "Eagle Fly Free" until now):
1. Battery (Original by Metallica)
2. Far Beyond The Sun (Original by Yngwie Malmsteen)
3. Eagle Fly Free (Original by Helloween)
4. The Loner (Original by Gary Moore)
5. Burn (Original by Deep Purple)
6. Addicted (Original by Lovebites)
"RISING " LIVE ACOUSTIC ONLY ASAMI and MIYAKO on piano.. softest ballad puts me in tears every time.. 🤘🐺🐺
About crowd chanting: It got even better! In a more recent performance, she only had to lift her arm once to get the crowd chant like crazy! Our little stage general Asami!
Next lovebites epilogue and burden of time
"The crowd knows.." Pretty badass comment. And true!
Epilogue is another masterpiece
Cool reaction Dude, i hit the Subscribe button for your passion and dont pause each 2 seconds the great music you react to.
Thank you Andreas! I appreciate you 🤘
Check "Dancing with the Devil" and you'll discover a different side of Lovebites.
"Addicted" is a great choice as well.
Happy 2023 to all :)
No other words, just masterpiece
And now the best bass player on the planet (Fami) has joined the best band in the world!! Shit man things can only get better!
Rock on wolfpack!
Rock on LOVEBITES!!
The song they went into right after Edge was "We the *United", one of their biggest songs, with an almost two minute guitar duet. That's how they ended a two -hour concert.
We The United, one of my favourites. Hopefully this will be played in Feb
Enjoy your reactions.
Thank you Ron! I appreciate you 😎🤘🧀
Edge of the world.....masterpiece, the piano..omg, just killed me. Asami is my queen as always. Frozen serenade is my meds...love Lobebites

Me: I'm here for their extraordinary musicianship.
My wife: The hell you are!
now that's the way to do a proper reaction. if what you just heard blows you way - listen to it again. music by mao , lyrics by asami. the song that was kicking in at the end of first song is 'empty daydream'. that is another in their endless line of masterpieces. then to change it up you might try one of their thrash tunes 'm.d.o.' - both live of course. this band should be known around the world
Now you need to hear the other two E songs… empty daydreams and epilogue
For your list should be Under the Red Sky (live)! 🙂
Masterpiece..
I recommend Signs of Deliverance and Addicted live next.
Also Today is the Day and The Apocalypse live are so good and many more!
Asterism is coming up soon! 🤘🤘🤘
Here is something special for Miyako fans (she looks great also in black 😍) :
SONIC LOVER RECKLESS / PHOENIX

Else another "special" Lovebites song would be "Spellbound" where she doesn't play guitar at all, still a great song :
Lovebites Spellbound Heavy Metal Never Dies Live In Tokyo 2021
ua-cam.com/video/qG7hwU_RJnE/v-deo.html
OoOOOoooo
You still have two of the E songs to do yet and they are Epilogue and Empty Daydream.
This is a masterpiece. They are so talented. M&M are the best dual gitarrist duo. Miho is a bad ass bass player. Asami amazing and then we have the little big engine Haruna ❤❤❤
😁
Thank you Chad. I appreciate your love and support! 😎🧀🤘
Yes, we have to admit that Lovebites is a factory of masterpiece songs. These ladies were so talented and skilled.. damn good👍👍🤘🤘amazing picked, bro👍👍. Try Epiloque, Empty Daydream, same masterpiece.
Lovebites' repertoire is 50 titles and they are all masterpieces. This band doesn't know how to make a bad song.
I wish I was Roland
Asami singing the last "forever" of Edge Of The World is so rnb. I love that part. I could see your pupils open at A Frozen Serenade's intro and Asami's last "once more". 👍
Bands like this only come around onc in 30 years, the writing, then all out talented playing, vocals, drums, stage presents, sound. OMG!! Google uplifting power metal music. There's plenty of it.
Geoff Tate and Asami would be amazing!
