Well I tried the Nova 7ps last night and they sounded great to my ears. I used the settings from your 7p deep dive and it sounded good to me ha ha. Thanks for your great deep dive vids.
Thanks for this excellent review. I have been experiencing "analysis paralysis" for months considering which headphone model to buy, and even though I'm not a gamer your analysis of the Audeze Maxwell's specifications, features, and musical fidelity has persuaded me that these headphones may be my best bang-for-the-buck choice. I genuinely appreciate your straightforward and fair-minded tech evaluations. After I watch your videos I have real insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the products you're critiquing, and it's no exaggeration to say that your reviews are my clear favorite on UA-cam.
Another awesome kickass review! My favorite reviewer by far and wish you nothing but success with this channel. I am so excited as I get my set tomorrow.
Your review is just as all round as Maxwell! It is so detailed and comprehensive that I'd say is 80% responsible for me decided to buy one in the end. Heck this is even my third time rewatching the whole vid after placing the order. Subscribed!
Thank you very much for a very detailed video. I finally found an audiophile who is actually a gamer. You don't know just how much I needed this video. I am in need of a wireless headset as I cannot sit on my desk anymore due to back problems and prefer to play on the couch in front of the TV, but I have been holding off on buying anything headset related as I know they have subpar sound comparing to my current desktop setup. My daily driver is a HD800 driven by a HDVA600 and a Topping E30. I watched your Nova Pro Wireless review and it seems you liked them but decided not to order as I found the price silly. 350 dollars for a gaming headset is bonkers. Then I waited for Maxwell reviews and yours is the first and only one that is remotely informative. I want to thank you for your hard work and I really love that you go very technical with your reviews, makes you stand out. Pls carry on with this format. And we need more audiophile content. Can you do a this week in audiophile news? or something? Tnx!
Dude, I enjoy your reviews so much you going so well in detail explaining everything for everybody. You are always in a nice mood. I appreciate you man keep going. Thank you so much.👏
Hey bro I just wanted to comment some love because this review is so detailed and awesome. I appreciate you outlining your objective observations and your subjective ones. This is some 90 million sub quality level. Awesome stuff man!
I got this headset and can comfortably say that this is the best headset I have ever used. Thank you Joe for the review! I would not have known about this headset and its quality prior if it were not for this review and breakdown.
Awesome review as always Joe! Thank you! Just received mine yesterday! If anyone is wondering how to turn the bluetooth on you double tap the power button for pairing mode.
The review quality on this is insane :) I have the original Mobius and am on the more audiophile side of listening. The Mobius had its issues, but it was basically the best all rounder headset for both average consumer and audiophile listening. It did have its issues though that made it less competitive in today's world, so was super excited about the Maxwell - they basically took everything (except weight) and improved it as mentioned on paper. Now with this review, I'm even more confident that they've smashed it out the park - can't wait to get mine. Also new sub, great review - thank you for the time and effort used to spread the knowledge :D
Excellent review ! Thanks. So impressive how you are able to do several minutes of presenting without mistakes. Other people on YT keep cutting their videos, very annoyingly, since they don’t have your concentration and stamina ! Great job. 👍🏻👍🏻
I just got the maxwells today and man am I impressed. The directional sound is amazing for gaming and the clarity of audio is insane. Chat and game are both clear even when a lot is going on. Music, game and discord all sounds crystal clear and are audible without any muddy blending. I changed the EQ to be a bit more bassy because the stock EQ wasn't as clear sounding to me, could be that I'm so used to bass since I've used the astro a10s for about 5 years. Another thing I notices is the bass isn't overpowering and it has a bit of punchiness to it and no distortion. It really sounds amazing because your mids and highs don't get muddy from the bass. The microphone isn't as bad as I've heard it sound on some of thr videos I've seen. It's marginally worse than my astro a10s but not so bad that it ruins peoples ears. Honestly the best pick up ever. I bought the set brand new from ebay with the 1 year manufacturer warranty for $250. A great pick up for $300 but i got a good steal for brand new. If you can get a pair of these I highly recommend forking out the extra money for this especially if you're looking to go wireless.
This is such an in-depth and well made review of this headphone. I fully appreciate this level of time and effort you put into your video... instant subscribe, well done.
This is all good news to me. I was hoping the Maxwell would review well because I was thinking of upgrading to it in the near future. Was gonna get a Penrose, but held off when this came up on my news app a few months back.
@@GreenerBlazer yes I do the sound imagine is really good for footstep. My biggest complain would be it abit warm and when alots of noise happen it tend to overshadow other noises.
@@Zvilll well, the main reason I’m thinking that’s ok is that custom EQ tuning isn’t even available yet. I’m imagining with proper tuning, if even needed, it will be all the better than other headsets. Ordered it the other day, so hopefully I get that shipment confirmed email soon.
Ordered the Maxwell and been rocking them since day 1 they came out in Sweden. Phanx for a great review, you are the reason they were chosen, you are on point!
Also I want to point out the "trash-talking toilet test" and the asshole chip chomper test. Honestly Joe, you deserve so many more subscribers. Between the info, which you very clearly and simply explain, and time/effort you put in are top-tier.
LOL, thanks! I had to do the chip test. I showed my buddy and now he's getting the Maxwell. No more chip chomping now when I play with him. I think a lot of us have those types of people, outside of random lobbies.
Just got mine pair two days ago. What a marvel. Truly. They sound amazing out of the box. What I was and still am amazed by is the way Audeze made Maxwell hide it's weight. When stationary I barely feel them. Granted I'm a bigger side of things, but still. Fantastic stuff. Cheers.
I found your channel randomly and I Subscribed in about 4 minutes. The quality of this review is way beyond the standards. Thank you, this video helped me a lot. Keep up the good work!
Your channel is a little gem that I am grateful to have found. I really like your way of presentation with the mix of kindness, subjective judgment and objective data. Thanks for that! I just bought a used "Penrose" last week for cheap, and I'm pretty happy with it (for music I also own a LCD-2). In the tests/measurements you can see an imbalance in channels with the Penrose as well, but for gaming use and for UA-cam for example, it seems irrelevant to me. Now Audeze itself writes on the website: "One of the biggest improvements comes from the new housing. In the Penrose/Mobius housing the left and right side were not acoustically balanced due to the presence of PCB on one side, and the battery on the other. Buttons were also mostly on the left. With Maxwell, we have a dual chamber design. There is an inner housing that acoustically isolates the driver from the electronics. This alone makes a huge improvement." So I would have hoped that exactly this - described by you as "anomaly" - channel mismatch would be fixed in the Maxwell. But it looks even worse than the Penrose. Let's wait for other tests and measurements. Hopefully others also find this, then I "must" not buy another headphone, but can continue to use the imho pretty cool Penrose satisfied :-)
Hope your channel grows dude. This review was done very well. I felt like you gave an honest opinion. Definitely subscribed, I hope you do eq videos on the headsets when they are available
Great Review Joe. Your detailed gaming headphone reviews are unmatched imo. I had the Xbox version of the Maxwell pre ordered but ended up cancelling it with all the delays. I'll probably order one again once they are officially shipping
Yea don't, Audeze doesn't support their products. I had to pay to get my warranty work done on my Penrose. Sent it to them in December, and they haven't updated me, and don't respond to emails. They jacked my Penrose and $150 from me.
@@Damitsall Good info. I'm definitely turned off after all the delays and now Audeze kinda back peddling on what the Xbox version can actually do as as far as using it with the PS5 also. I have some higher end audiophile type headphones I game/watch movies with like the Autuer Classic, HE1000 V2 Stealth Magnet and Rad-0 coming out of high end DACS and Amps that I doubt the Maxwell could compete with anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
In what way they're back peddling the PS5 support of the Xbox model? Is there an official statement they made that should be of concern if you expect multi console support?
@@kaplanbeny When I pre ordered the Xbox version of the Maxwell... Audeze was advertising all kinds of stuff it could do and how it was compatible with PS5 blah blah blah... and now when you read their FAQS they basically backtracked on most of it. Lots of FAQS saying "This may not work" or be compatible. and "We suggest you get the Maxwell intended for its specific Console." So other than plugging directly into the controller where they should be compatible... there will probably be some low volume issues when not using the console the HP is meant for. And forget the Xbox Maxwell being compatible and playing nice with the PS5. Now Audeze can't even get Microsoft to license the Maxwell. Why would they even promote the Maxwell until all this licensing and approval type stuff was taken care of? Audeze just made a template for how NOT to launch a headphone. I'm going to pass on these as I'm only a casual gamer who doesn't need a mic and who already has high end HP's to game with. If you only need the PS5 Maxwell for a PS5 console it's still probably a good bang for the buck... but remember the other poster warning about his nightmare with Audeze. I'm steering clear.
@JTB I'll assume what happened was they got and approved of dobly atmos and can be release with xbox but where I think got grey was the legal issues and bluetooth support with xbox and it's dobly atmos. So no they never got pre-approval through th
man what a great review, first time at your channel. while lengthy you are bringing across your points very well and dont waste air at all. it was very informative. excellent work, really.
Hey Joe, congrats on the review, excellent work. I have a few questions though: 1- Does the EQ settings you change in the PC app work when playing on the PS5? 2- Is the mic detachable? 3- If you connect the headset to a Xbox controller via Aux cable to play on a Xbox Series Console, is the audio quality affected? And does the mic work? Thanks
The EQ is applied to the internal DAC. The feature isn't published yet, anyways. But I would strongly assume that it remains applied, including Bluetooth audio. Since Bluetooth audio can also be configured via BLE Android and iOS apps.
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this moment since your first video mentioning this headset. Already placed my order and hopefully get it in a couple of weeks. My first planar magnetic headset :) Edit: Such a great review! Your reviews are always thorough and I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! I'm even more excited to get this headset now :D I have a few questions: A: Do you know if it automatically wakes up from sleep-mode when wireless connection re-establish itself? B: Do you know if the noice cancellation function on the headset will interfere with apps like Discord that has built-in noice cancellation? C: Does headset like these have a burn-in period?
I got mine for Xbox last week, a no brainer coming from Gen2 700 max. Way better sound in game, detailed etc... definitely worth every penny and this review is accurate.
@@GadgetryTech So, my point of view for the Maxwell, it seems like a awesome headset, for basically everything, like you said. I dislike the fact we don't have simultaneously connection :(.. But, I feel i still have to check it out anyway, once it's available in Europe, the microphone sounds awesome!! Thanks for this detailed review as always
Can you do another update review on the audeze maxwell please. Including Eq now available on android. Have you managed to find a perfect eq for footsteps? Battery life and what to expect if you start to the 80ba for 80 plus hours. What 80ba actually sounds like in real life. Comfort, extended use with weight of headset. Etc... Many thanks
been waiting so desperately for your review. and of course your review is just a 10/10 dude. you deserve far far far far far more subscribers. due to that review, theres nothing in the way for me to get the maxwell, thank you!
Such a good review!!! Can't wait of the XBOX/PC version! Great content as usual. Keep it coming. Would like to compare presets vs Dolby Atmos on Xbox versions.
Great review! I got my Maxwell on Saturday, it's pretty good, but the footstep performance is a little disappointing. Too bad they didn't have custom EQ, I was hoping to get your COD EQ. Footsteps EQ sounds ok, but felt a bit too harsh for long sessions.
Awesome review!! I wish someone would do a Maxwell comparison to other audiophile headphones in the same price range and not just compare these to other gaming headsets just to get an idea of just how good the audio quality is, or at least compare it to other wireless headphones like the Sennheiser Momentum or others like that. I know it’s not in the same category as wired audiophile headphones or even those ANC headphones, but it would still be interesting to see how it stacks up in audio quality since some people do like to buy wired audiophile headphones and use them for gaming.
Great review as always! Btw did you notice anything weird around the part where the two pieces of steel meet? Near the hinge... I've seen a couple of cases where it already broke, and after the Penrose defect (mine broke both sides) It would really suck... let's hope it was a isolated case.
You are right, Immersive EQ is a little more exciting. It doesn't drown the mid-range and it doesn't get muddy in the bass. It's very capable of it. Female vocals sound very nice in these headphones. Your power by Billie Ellish sounded incredible, Send my Love by Adele sounded great too!
I have them, and they sound better to me than all other wireless/ Bluetooth headsets I have, including focal bathys on the Bluetooth side. So it makes me wonder why not have a 100 dollar more premium variant with ANC and go ahead and dethrone everything altogether? Because I'm still keeping the bathys for ANC
Great review as always! Very informative.👌 I spend way too much money on headphones, headsets and iem's and I was worried the Maxwells would be perfect and make me spend a fortune when I just bought the Senheiser HD560s (P.S. i am loving them BTW! Would love to know your opinion on them). But the heavy weight and the lack of soundstage turned me off. Can you please make a comparison video of stereo vs spatial audio (Dolby Atmos, tempest, etc) on headphones? I am passionate about gaming audio but I never managed to come to any conclusion about which is the best option. I game mostly on xbox and i tend to lean on wired headphones because every audiophile out there says they have the best sound but then i connect it to a wireless controller, isn't that defeating the purpose of wired vs wireless? Is there any solution? I am shure you channel is going to grow exponentially! Thanks! 🙏
Hi, I have a PC and a PS5. On PC, I tested Windows phonicy, dolby Atmos for headphones, DTS:X, Sxfi and soundblaster G6. Only the 2 soundblaster feels ok for me. SXFI is superior is soundstage but has too much echo. G6 feels ok but not perfect. The PS5's 3D audio is lot of better than soundblaster's solutions. It's the best surround virtualisation I heared. Personnalisation is the key imo. And it works even with no 3D audio games (simple 7.1), Netflix and UA-cam. But not with Apple music, shame on them.
Great review! I play mostly fps where footsteps are important but I've been on steel series arctis 7p +. How much of an upgrade will this be for me? I also have been looking at the nova pro but the maxwell seems more premium. I'm getting ready to buy a new headset in this price range and I'm looking at the maxwell and nova right now. Any insight would be great!
I think with a little EQ the Maxwell will be the one to beat personally. Just waiting for when we can do it. For now, the Nova Pro Wireless will still be a good option (purely for FPS). For music performance, the Maxwell is another level.
@@GadgetryTech Thank you for the advice!! I think I'm leaning towards the maxwell and like you said with the updates and upgrades to the eq it will be even better than just out of the box. Plus it would when I do listen to music that it would be significantly better than my current headset.
Different level review!!! Can't wait to get my own impressions of comfort and sound. Before then though, one things for sure, that Filter tech is downright fantastic.
What a fantastic review 👏 I'm so happy you mentioned footsteps.. I'm sure I'm not on my own in wanting the best headset for gaming. I'm so happy you mentioned this and what you recommend. Perfect .....
Saw some people, on reddit, where having issues with the flexibility and secureness of the mic. Have you noticed that? Apparently it just doesn't hold its form as previous mics did. Their fix was putting in the Penrose/Mobius mic, because I guess it fits, and it works. Also, and this is probably subjective, they say the mic quality is actually better than the stock mic of the Maxwell. Found that odd and interesting and wondering if that would be a fun experiment to run.
Very nice review. I'm actually happy that i didnt go blackfridayshopping for a new headset last november. When i was reading it's release i couldn't wait for your review. No doubt in my mind i'm gonna get this. But have to wait till it's releases here in NL. Thanks for the great review and time and effort you put into making this.
thanks, fantastic review, preordered my maxwells few days ago, will arrive in 2-3 weeks. I'm so glad they lived up to the hype, can't wait to play some proper beats on it!
Been following you for awhile now and I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribes but the Lord will bless you for your hard work can’t wait to see you hit 100 K.
What I like here is that these are made my a true audio company. They are among the best when it comes to headphones. I have an issue with Astros costing as much as they do when they’re not even made by an audiophile company
One of the primary reasons "high-end" headphones are so extremely expensive is that manufacturers take the time to have a person driver match left and right channels while properly tuning each driver. Value oriented phones often leave manufacturing without any extra quality control beyond (hopefully?!) making sure that they produce sound. And planars are notoriously hard to driver match. I recommend buying these from a retailer with good service/return policy and if you get a notably "bad" pair try exchanging them. Thanks for an inciteful and comprehensive review.
This video was super helpful. I'm currently running a Nova Pro Wireless, I'm half and half between single player and multiplayer experiences these days, and although I do like being able to pinpoint footsteps immersion in single player games is just more important to me so I'll be getting a Maxwell. Thanks for such a detailed review!
@@tt54l32v Nowadays with Discord and Apple Music on Xbox I don’t find that a big deal but I understand if people are getting calls often. I will say I finally got mine a few months ago and the sound quality was not even close to what I was expecting. I switched back to my Nova Pros.

I have no need for headphones now , as I bought BD DT770Pro 80 Ohm headphones , run a good USB DAC and am super-happy. I just like his reviews as they are professional , not some kid yelling and making faces , and other gimmicks to get views.
Ordered the Maxwell last night based on this review. Coming from HyperX Cloud Alpha wireless which are honestly really solid. Just want something that performs better with music. That's my main gripe with gaming headsets.
Hi. I have HyperX Cloud Alpha and am looking to upgrade. I use them almost 100% for gaming? Would you recommend the Audeze Maxwell for gaming? Thanks in advance :)
@@chromeboy1 I think they're great for gaming! And they sound great for music too. I'm not sure if they're that much better for FPS games when it comes to footsteps though. Some people say they are really accurate for footsteps. Maybe I just have bad ears haha. Some negatives I'll mention are that they are pretty heavy. And the clamping force is stronger than the hyper x Alphas. My ears get pretty warm with them too. But after a few weeks I got used to it. Overall I'm happy with the upgrade.
i'm kind of in love with this headset. everything just sounds so amazing when music is played. this replaced my astro a40's. my only viable complaint is the wireless is finicky. sometimes it will randomly turn off and you need to reset the entire headset, switching between charged and plugged is a concern. as you have too reset your browser for sound again, and the fact i had too pay duty on top of the american price which was potato. little heavy sometimes for long use. yet for the money it's one of the most amazingly sounded headsets for the price. immersive mode rules. best investment.
I don't have any of those problems, also I don't have to "reset" the browser, the driver switches automatically from speakers to headphones with the same browser window open, I don't even have to pause a YT video when switching.
I own all those headsets except the Nova. The Maxwell is the best headset I've used to date. I go between Phillips fidelity and Burson amp setup to wireless headsets. Depends on the game or music. The maxwell comes close to sounding as good as quality wired headphones for gaming.
I like that you compared it to the other high end headsets. Comparisons are important because obviously when someone is looking for a new headset they are going to be looking at all of their options, so comparisons of headsets around the same price are vital.

Your review is just as all round as Maxwell! It is so detailed and comprehensive that I'd say is 80% responsible for me decided to buy one in the end. Heck this is even my third time rewatching the whole vid after placing the order. Subscribed!
Getting it and how is it? I’m thinking about purchasing myself.
@@prepetitHits good but if you have a small head dont buy it cuz its big and heavy and not that comfy its not bad but its not comfy
Tnx!
Thanks so much! I have a lot of audiophile content coming soon! I hope that it you decide to get the Maxwell that you enjoy it as much as I have.
Dude, I enjoy your reviews so much you going so well in detail explaining everything for everybody. You are always in a nice mood. I appreciate you man keep going. Thank you so much.👏
Hey bro I just wanted to
comment some love because this review is so detailed and awesome. I appreciate you outlining your objective observations and your subjective ones. This is some 90 million sub quality level. Awesome stuff man!
Thanks so much man!
I got this headset and can comfortably say that this is the best headset I have ever used. Thank you Joe for the review! I would not have known about this headset and its quality prior if it were not for this review and breakdown.
Is the build quality good?
Awesome review as always Joe! Thank you! Just received mine yesterday! If anyone is wondering how to turn the bluetooth on you double tap the power button for pairing mode.
I'm so distrustful of tech reviewers but I'm really impressed and grateful by the quality and balance of your review. ended my decision paralysis :)
Great review Joe! Love the comparisons as well. Really enjoy these in-depth reviews and appreciate all the time and effort.
Just got mine today. Absolutey canot believe how good they sound for wireless. My Nova Pro Wired are now my backup pair!
After gotten my maxwell, my nova pro wireless became my backup pair until I didn't even touch it...thus..I sold it on the resale market for 250usd.
The review quality on this is insane :)
I have the original Mobius and am on the more audiophile side of listening.
You earned yourself a new sub. I went with you Maxwell review and I can't believe how accurate reviews are. Great work.
This is such an in-depth and well made review of this headphone. I fully appreciate this level of time and effort you put into your video... instant subscribe, well done.
Best review of the Audeze Maxwell hands down.
This is all good news to me. I was hoping the Maxwell would review well because I was thinking of upgrading to it in the near future. Was gonna get a Penrose, but held off when this came up on my news app a few months back.
Yeah this has definitely been worth the wait
listening to this a year later with my new maxwells :D
Got mine yesterday! The mic is insane definitely better than my wireless antlion.
Do you use it for FPS gaming? I just got Nova Pros through Amazon and am contemplating switching
Cheers.
The mic tests alone are blowing my mind. Especially as a wireless option
Now Audeze itself writes on the website:
"One of the biggest improvements comes from the new housing. This alone makes a huge improvement."
So I would have hoped that exactly this - described by you as "anomaly" - channel mismatch would be fixed in the Maxwell. But it looks even worse than the Penrose. Let's wait for other tests and measurements. Hopefully others also find this, then I "must" not buy another headphone, but can continue to use the imho pretty cool Penrose satisfied :-)
Just ordered from your Audeze link, hope you get a little kickback! Thank you for your AMAZING reviews!!
Hope your channel grows dude. This review was done very well. I felt like you gave an honest opinion. Definitely subscribed, I hope you do eq videos on the headsets when they are available
Thank you for putting this review together. Answered all my questions and more.
Thanks so much for watching, subscribing, and the kind words!!
Hey Joe, congrats on the review, excellent work. I have a few questions though:
1- Does the EQ settings you change in the PC app work when playing on the PS5?
2- Is the mic detachable?
3- If you connect the headset to a Xbox controller via Aux cable to play on a Xbox Series Console, is the audio quality affected? And does the mic work?
Thanks
The EQ is applied to the internal DAC. The feature isn't published yet, anyways. But I would strongly assume that it remains applied, including Bluetooth audio. Since Bluetooth audio can also be configured via BLE Android and iOS apps.
Thx Matthias, does anyone know about the other 2 questions? For me if it has it then its a buy and if not its not
Was looking forward to this! Gives me something to watch on my break!!
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this moment since your first video mentioning this headset. Already placed my order and hopefully get it in a couple of weeks. My first planar magnetic headset :)
Edit:
Such a great review! Your reviews are always thorough and I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! I'm even more excited to get this headset now :D I have a few questions:
A: Do you know if it automatically wakes up from sleep-mode when wireless connection re-establish itself?
B: Do you know if the noice cancellation function on the headset will interfere with apps like Discord that has built-in noice cancellation?
C: Does headset like these have a burn-in period?
I got mine for Xbox last week, a no brainer coming from Gen2 700 max. Way better sound in game, detailed etc... definitely worth every penny and this review is accurate.
I've just returned my stealth and ordered the Maxwell, how do they compare fps wise? Cheers
@@aliuscairo4307so what are your thoughts
Finally! Finaaalllyyyyy! Now I'm hyped and wanna know what you say! Let's go🙌🏼.
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing what you think
This is it. The review I was after. Time to buy. Thanks man!
Etc... Many thanks
The built-in Competitive and Footsteps EQ settings are already pretty much perfect if you're looking for an unfair advantage.
been waiting so desperately for your review. and of course your review is just a 10/10 dude. you deserve far far far far far more subscribers. due to that review, theres nothing in the way for me to get the maxwell, thank you!
Thanks Misha!
Such a good review!!! Can't wait of the XBOX/PC version! Great content as usual. Keep it coming. Would like to compare presets vs Dolby Atmos on Xbox versions.
I'll definitely do a deep dive there!
Thx for the review. Melody Gardot is amazing and a great choice for testing music on headphones.
Great review! I got my Maxwell on Saturday, it's pretty good, but the footstep performance is a little disappointing. Too bad they didn't have custom EQ, I was hoping to get your COD EQ. Footsteps EQ sounds ok, but felt a bit too harsh for long sessions.
Thanks! Try the comp eq for now. That’s my fav for Warzone. When they update the app I’ll release custom EQ as well
@@GadgetryTech Can't wait!
hi, do you use surround sound or just stereo ? i play fps and want to locate footsteps :)
@@oskarmarkus1987 I got rid of the Maxwell, didn't like it. In general I use Sony's tempest 3d audio.
Without question, theeeee most incredible Maxwell review. How on earth do you not have more subs. You just got one here!
Awesome review as always. Literally went over all that I wanted to know
Glad you found it helpful!
Maxwells actually compete with $300-400 audiophile headphones like Hifiman Sundara
The deep voice in God of War is also godly if that make sense :D
Rip Wallet. I just hit the buy it now.
How have they hold up so far? 🤔
Very informative.👌
I spend way too much money on headphones, headsets and iem's and I was worried the Maxwells would be perfect and make me spend a fortune when I just bought the Senheiser HD560s (P.S. i am loving them BTW!
Mine are on their way. I hope it lives up to the hype! Great review like always!
Nice detailed review. I can't wait for your EQ settings. My Maxwell will be here tomorrow. It's been a long wait. I'm happy they lived up to the hype.
Came for the Audeze, subbed for the Joe. Well done, sir.
Different level review!!! Can't wait to get my own impressions of comfort and sound. Before then though, one things for sure, that Filter tech is downright fantastic.
What a fantastic review 👏
I'm so happy you mentioned footsteps.. I'm sure I'm not on my own in wanting the best headset for gaming. I'm so happy you mentioned this and what you recommend.
Perfect .....
I bought it!
My Opinion : Its great out of the box after 2 days of use the planar drivers starts crinkling
Found that odd and interesting and wondering if that would be a fun experiment to run.
very good testing! thanks to you !
I currently have the Penrose and ordered the Maxell, can't wait to receive it!
i just got mine today and I swear they are: AMAZING!!! thank u for ur review it helped me a lot :)
Thanks! I was nervous about them being to hyped up but so far they seem like a home run
Phenomenal review! Can’t wait to get mine from the pre order.
You did the absolute best review this was so helpful for me. Thanks for taking the time.
I was thinking of buying something cheaper but this review really sold me on this headset
AMAZING review man... nothing short of greatness. I ordered the XBOX version the day it came out for pre-order... the wait is killing me...

Awesome. You are hands down one of the better headphone/headset reviewers.
Dude, your videos are insane! Glad I found your channel!
I pre ordered these so I was super excited when I saw that you reviewed them and you answered a lot of questions I had thanks 🙏
I own all those headsets except the Nova. The Maxwell is the best headset I've used to date. I go between Phillips fidelity and Burson amp setup to wireless headsets. Depends on the game or music. The maxwell comes close to sounding as good as quality wired headphones for gaming.
I’m glad the Maxwell fixes the comfort issue that the Penrose had, but I only see myself using my Nova Pro Wireless for the next 2-3 years
