Should be fun to see how this round develops over time. I'm working on a new dmr set up with the arc and I hope she runs well at distance. Great ballistics equal impacts
Bought the little 18 inch bull barrel Savage Axis 2 just to play around with the ARC to see what it would do before I invested in a nicer gun. The 103 ELD-X shot 2698 fps average and basically cut the same hole at a hundred. I'm highly impressed with the 6 ARC, especially in such a budget gun
Just watching this video while searching for 6 arc bolt guns. Almost pulled the trigger...no pun intended .. on a Savage 110 but noticed in 3 videos they all seem to have feeding/extraction issues. I like the mini action idea but was unsure about stock options. Good video, thanks
@Ian Wellman, PRS competition, smaller cartridges are preferred for faster follow ups, less recoil. This offers a cheaper option over the 6BR, Dasher, GT ect and can be pushed to the 3200 FPS (can go faster) cap on PRS

Well done with these rifle builds Eagle Eye . I have no doubt that by reloading and playing around with the seating depth you’ll shrink those groups to around .5 to .6 perhaps even smaller inch no problem. Are those hand lapped barrels?

I’m guessing the ejection issue is derived from the short cartridge and relatively long Savage action. Savage 10’s are longer than Remington 700 patterns.

Surprised with all the 3d printing you do you haven't made a holder that craddels the magnetospeed so its attached to the stock. I have done it with my 6.5 grendel and 5.56 ars. Only I used 1" sq aluminum tubing. No harmonic altering with it on the barrel
I pretty sure those rifles arnt hitting the velocity nodes that this cartridge needs. Those rifles are top notch, just not dialed in with the factory amm9
I think this Cartridge will have it's place with PRS , with that being said EVERY cartridge has its place. I just can't see it replacing the 5.56 for military application as the current media blitz is billing (or it might be wishful thinking by ammo and rifle manufacturing). I have a question. Didn't you say that one was a 3R twist and one was a 5R twist? I would suspect that having more contact with the bullet could possibly cause a deviation in F.P.S. The 3R twist in the savage has fewer lands, faster twist but was still faster out of the same box of ammo.
@@EagleEyeShooting maybe I'm not understanding what you're saying then. Correct me if I'm wrong but you said savage had a 1 in 7.7 right? That means it has less surface contact time with the bullet for the length of the barrel. And if that is true it would almost certainly equal faster speeds. And knowing the consistency of hornday match grade ammunition shot from both guns. Isn't it kinda expected with a 3R slower twist that speeds would be faster?
Bullet rotates one full revolution in 7.7 inches, as compared to the other barrel in 7. The 3R rifling in the 1-7.7 contacts the bullet less, thus less deformation. Slower twist rate builds more velocity.
Hi mate , good video. What do you think of the howa mini action? I have read that the actions may not handle higher pressure if you push reloading speeds a bit much? Cheers
