Had a pretty bad reaction to dermaplaning. I thought I had acne, when in reality, I had inflamed hair follicles! My poor skin. I quit dermaplaning and my skin is much happier!
Wish I saw this earlier.. I did wax on my face(yesterday).. it didn't go well. My face is terrible now - full of whiteheadas and red pimples and irritation. Somethimes before i did threading and it is way better than wax. Wax face is big mistake and I don't know how to heal skin. Threading never give me such problems. 😔😔😔😔 so sad and angry on myself. Never again wax on face. Sorry for my english
Thank you this was very informative and I finally understand why I have whiteheads when I do it! For POC, our upper lip area looks like moustaches if we dont groom it so I just dermaplane on my upper lip area at home with a facial shaver (scalpel). But at what part of a skincare routine is it best to do it? Thanks!
Hello i had laser hair removal (they removed my side burns with a trimmer the first 2 times) and i got terrible acne after my 4th session and i stopped ,any recommendations ? Its not peach fuzz but now after laser i have separate hairs and its very noticeable also i have sensitive skin .. i need help :( i never had acne like that in my life
Since following Olena I have stopped dermaplaning at home. I definitely think some of the pimples I had were probably in grown hairs. It’s taken some time to adjust and embrace my peach fuzz (Mexican decent). I still pluck my brows and very lightly dermaplane my upper lip area, I don’t get ingrown hairs there. I think everyone should start embracing the peach fuzz, it’s natural!
i threaded my cheeks and i got the worse acne i had in years! i was hoping to finally get rid of the hairs without getting bumps but nope haha i guess my face will remain hairy bc there is no way i’m doing it again, so sad it didnt work for me :(
Olena I LOVE YOU❤️ I m about to get married and was going for dermaplaning but because I saw amazing results from the cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising methods you told on youtube I decided to search if you have any video on dermaplaning too and voila! It was here. You don't know how much money I have saved and how happy I am also THANK YOU FOR NORMALISING FACIAL HAIR. I also saved bucks by seeing your video on skin care products we shouldn't buy too as I was going to buy a charcoal mask😂😂😂. You are a gem and I am giving you hell lot of blessings right now. I don't have words to explain how thankful I m to you right now.
Omg thank you SO much for taking the time to share your experience and these words of encouragement! I really appreciate that you’ve used the content! ❤️🙏💖🤩
Thanks for sharing this valuable content! I dermaplaned my face at the end of December and a week later I noticed a ton of skin colored bumps. I freaked out and didn't fully make the connection that it was because of that but rather possibly the products and routine I had so I did what you did: Google. And that led me down a rabbit whole of trying to fix the problem / beat it before it grew into inflamed acne... But I ended up causing that to happen. I look back wishing I just let it be bc I'm still trying to heal my skin and thankfully it's healing after finding you and applying the lessons I've learned through your content! Also, after finding you i did do a wax. It caused a Folliculitis and the best advice I got was from you in the Cure it with Love community, which was to not apply actives like SA on it and have patience that it will heal on its own. And that, it did, beautifully!
Thank you. I have been doing this! As I age the hairs by my sideburns seems to grow more than they used to! So, I have been trying this for a few months now, and you are right as ever skin wizard 😄 I've been trying to deny it but, I do get pimples around the areas where I use the blade. But, with my fantastic skincare routine, if I leave them alone, they disappear pretty rapidly. :)
Yay, exactly! A good skincare routine helps the quick healing - but a lot of people start thinking it’s their products, when it’s the dermaplaning, and start experimenting thereby making the problem worse instead of better! Like my waxing situation 🙈😀
@@OlenaBeley Honestly, at first I was wondering if I should get back on the RR waitlist, but then I asked myself, what would you ask me, what am I doing that is different and potentially irritating, there is only one answer. Thankfully because you have trained me well. But, there are times the pimples do look quite bad, but I just ignore them, cover them with SPF and then forget and literally 2-3 days later what looked like the beginning of an acne flair up magically disappears! May try threading though, less aggressive.
Tell me about your facial hair removal experiences! 🙏😍😆
I did try it just like 2 days before, right now my skin is all fine but I don’t know what’s gonna happen next 😰
Unsa Shah irritation is not guaranteed! Especially if your routine is quite gentle and supportive! ❤️
Olena Beley yesss i’ve been following skincare the way you’ve taught us 😃❤️
Unsa Shah yay, that’s awesome! 🙌🤩
Tried laser hair removal and it didn’t work.
Please do a The Ordinary review video! 😍
Thanks for the suggestion!

Nothing fucked up my moisture barrier like dermaplanning did
I love how you always explain everything in great detail. Informative and always helpful ❣
Yay, so glad you thought so! I can go and on about it! 🙈❤️

I'm getting married so what i do with my facial hairs?
Ma’am, I wish I would’ve seen this two weeks ago. 😕. I am so thankful for your informative videos. Thank you for helping me connect the dots.
My pleasure! ❤️❤️❤️
What about electrolysis?
I have been using stacked skincare blades and not tinkle razors and my skin is fine. Thanks for the information!

Yup, loves me some peach fuzz!!! 🍑🍑🍑
Always looking forward to watching your videos!!
Aww I really appreciate that!! 🙏❤️
Do you think other facial treatments (like microneedling) are beneficial? :)
Please refer to my other videos 🥰
That's Great...Can't wait
Dermaplaning and waxing have both resulted in some whiteheads. I still get my eyebrows waxed but now you’ve motivated me to try threading instead! 🙌
Susanna Comfort can be more gentle with hopefully less irritation ❤️

Aw that sucks to hear that you’re experiencing a reaction! 🙈
@@OlenaBeley yeah i was so disappointed, but i hope it works for other people, love your videos btw :)
This is amazing ! thank for always sharing your knowledge and research ❤️ you have helped many of us here ;)!
Aw thanks so much Yasmine!!! ❤️
My skin has never been this clear. I’ve been dermaplaning for a couple months now and I haven’t gotten a pimple on quite a while
I wish that you covered laser hair removal as well! thank you so much for the advices 💜
I honestly thought I did, but totally forgot somehow 🙈 But it’s still similar in terms of possible inflammation.
🥰🥰🥰
Do you ever by back up items for some of your products?
For sure! But not too many as they can expire as well. Just 1-2 of the important stuff like cleanser and moisturizer and sunscreen ❤️
Ohhhhh this will be good!!! Can’t wait !
Thanks for your answer 👌🏻❤️❤️
My pleasure! ❤️ Was it helpful?
Great informational video, AGAIN!
Thanks you so much! 😚
Can’t wait 😊

Patience is highly underrated in skin healing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What about waxing for body hair removal? And if you don't suggest it then other options?
Totally up to you, your hair, etc. Do what you want but consider the risk to benefit ratio, and just be gentle with it afterward. ❤️
Love your hair and outfit Olena! Where do you typically shop for clothes? Would love to know!
Thanks so much! This top is from Aritzia, but I shop everywhere ❤️
Your videos are a vibe 😍
