I have A80 Tuna Blue lights; when I go into the Spectral Controller X settings for programming, what are all the weather effects? I tried to test them out but nothing appeared to happen. Are these just not available to the A80?
Why are people excited about this? I feel like it’s a step backwards. Why are we using a secondary device? No Bluetooth or WiFi. Create a free app instead of charging us a $100+ for a device geeez. Kessil makes beautiful lights but F the company.
Got my 360x from the LFS yesterday. Im super bummed that I can't control it with my Apex. the added cost for the bracket and the seemingly mandatory controller is something to consider (especially in Canadian monopoly money) when buying a new light. I ended up getting my controller X from BRS this morning and look forward to setting up my light using this video. thank you.
Could I see a short run down on how to program the Kessil spectral X controller with the A80 tuna blue I have them connected I just don’t think my programming is doing anything I would like to be able to use the custom preset do I still add this to a group ??? Some how
I don’t think there’s been a controller yet that’s simple for me to use lol 😂 I still have never connected my reefwave25s to the internet cause it just fails every time it tries luckily there is a controller tho 🤷♂️
When the price drops to the current kessil 360s ill pick these up. Until then ill stick to my 360s. I dont see a reason to buy 4 of these to replace my current 4. Only thing I like is that it can ramp down to a darker state.
why not show the Vi, R and G how much the setting in order to be balance the light for corals in the tank needed ? i hope you can explain more on VI ,R, G what this each benefit to the corals. thank you.
I love the Kessil lights, but I'm having trouble controlling them with this controller. I'm trying to control four lights, one 360X on the K-Link port and three other older generation Kessils from the 0-10 volt AUX port. The A360WE and two A160 TBs are Daisy-Chained together. So far I haven't been able to get this to work. If I plug the three daisy-chained older generation lights into the 0-10 volt side, shouldn't the older lights go through the same dusk to dawn cycle as the 360 X. I'm just trying to used the default TB preset. However, I'd like to change the start and end time of the preset to noon to midnight rather that the 8AM to 8PM. Can I use the TB preset, but change just the times to start at at 12 noon and go off at midnight. After setting up a new program or in this case altering the times of the preset, where should the controller be, that is what should be shown on the display. Do you just leave it where it is after saving the new program, or should it be back on Dashboard. Thanks

Just saw this vid to help me use this controller with the A160WE using the 10v cable to control it with. Do the pre-settings work with this light or only the 360? Thanks all!
I can set 2 different ports with the 0-10v inputs ( 2 ) on the old one. There is 1 k link and 1 - 0 -10 v input does that mean you can only program 1 setting? This controller does not seem that great and im a kessil fan
BulkReefSupplyCom you can use the firmware upgrade port and connect that to a regular usb plug. That will power it and control your old lights if you don’t have the new 360x
BulkReefSupplyCom That’s not true. I called kessil And you can use the USB port for power. Try it connect the usb to Apple/Samsung usb power brick. I have the older 360 and I was able to set it up no problem.
anyone else have problems connecting the POWER to the 360 itslef? the connection is NOT positive, like the other connections that push together, in fact it can become unplugged without any effort.
While the Spectral Controller X does have a 0-10v port, you'll need a power cord if you're not using a K Link compatible fixture in conjunction with your A80 as the K Link fixtures will provide power to the controller.

There is an adapter cable to connect to apex. Approx $15

This wont work. You cant control both lights chained. They use a differnt protocol and the X wont transfer it to an aux.
What’s does the acclamation mode?

Only the X series. The non-X series lights don't have the ability to tune in specific colors like violet, red, and green.

Why I can’t run my kessil a80 tuna sun whit this controller just works with tuna blue settings
While the Spectral Controller X does have a 0-10v port, you'll need a power cord if you're not using a K Link compatible fixture in conjunction with your A80 as the K Link fixtures will provide power to the controller.
