Sven, chord melody lessons are awesome. Unfortunately, there are not so many chord melody (etudes) lessons as well as playing recordings in such style. Works great to fresh up your channel. Thank you!
Love your rendition of this song! What’s the make of this particular guitar? Fabulous tone! And how do you distinguish/ name diminished chords? Probably a lesson on its own. 😊 Thank you for this session.
Sven fantastic chord work--and one of my dad's favorite songs. Happy to pay for the tabs for this--also "La Mer" and your wonderful "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas". Do you have these available for purchase please?
Hi Sven. Merry Christmas, though the rest of this message is a little out of mood, I apologise in advance, because it is sincerely well meant. I absolutely LOVE your artistry with the guitar, but while you clearly aim to teach, you are not the best of teachers, IMHO. This may well be because your target audience is advanced players. However, if you want to address a broader audience, you need to take the time to make your chord work clearer, more accessible (perhaps diagrams, tabs--for payment, or allowing the YT viewer to actually see your fingering more clearly instead of simply mentioning the notes of the chord?) . At times--"have Yourself a Merry Christmas"--is an example, you play one pattern and then talk about another. I am an intermediate level player and have a fairly good grasp of jazz/bossa nova chords but still find it hard at times to follow you because you are inconsistent and just divert to something else from what you play. Again, ABSOLUTE respect for your artistry and I acknowledge that you may not be interested in really reaching less advanced players, though when you speak in your videos you DO give the impression that you want a broader viewership and studentship. I wish you the absolute best, sincerely. Max (Francois) Le Blond
Great to see and hear you again Sven, this song is so beautiful, and you address the melody with such a warm approach. Thank You, and best wishes.
Great tutorial Sven. You explain things very well and this is reasonably easy to follow. Thanks.
