  • Charging up my batteries while driving ✅
Here's a quick video showing my install of the new Victron Orion XS 50 amp B2B charger hooked into the battery of my Ford Transit. This uses the vehicles alternator to charge my lithium battery bank while driving. With this install complete the guts of my electrical system are complete. Fingers crossed I won't have to open up my electrical box for a while.
Overview of 540aH (6480wH) lithium battery bank charging options
    A) Solar (400W)
    B) Transit alternator while ignition active (~650W)
    C) Shore power (3600W max)
On a sunny day, while driving, I can expect to pump in ~900W of energy into my batteries -- yay 🎉

Thanks for sharing. I am still waiting for these to be available to get one. How low can you set the charge amperage? Can you actually go below one full amp - say for example 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 of an amp? The manual I think says you can can adjust the amperage in 1/10 amp increments up to 50amp?

Yeah, just tested today. You can adjust the amperage in 0.1 increments. I was able to set both the input & output amperage down to 0.1 amps! Best of luck :)
