thank you for this video, I am introverted and I'm interested in RDH. everyones tells me that its not a good career for me. I honestly don't think people know what introverted really means.
❤❤❤ Thank you this is inspiring and amazing. What makes a great hygienist is to always be committed and passionate on each patient and striving to be the best hygienist that you can be by continuing learning something new and improving your dexterity skills such as writing a lot, drawing and being creative and artistic.
@@pozytywnaosobka1319it’s never too late to late! You’re only in your early 30’s. You still have a solid 30-40 years in the workforce, and most programs are only a few years. I’m 35 and going back to school for dental hygiene in the fall.
@@pozytywnaosobka1319 never too late! I completely feel you though because funny enough, I am 31 myself and considering the field. The time it takes to become registered may feel long now but think about the time in your past and what you may have wished you’d done then .. you got this!!
My husband went to a new dentist (his other dentist dropped his insurance). This new dentist doesn't care about people. She only cares about her wallet. My husband had a cleaning and NO polishing was done, only scaling. He didn't feel his teeth were clean enough afterwards. Instead of polishing his teeth like she was supposed to do, she tried pushing a teeth whitening treatment that insurance doesn't cover (but the regular cleaning is covered but didn't complete the job). He is now looking for another dentist in which he will have to have another cleaning and pay out of pocket for since the new dentist didn't do the job correctly.
Sometimes if there’s a lot of inflammation, we scale and then polish and scale again at a second appointment. Usually this will be in a case where the patient hasn’t had a Prophy appointment in a long time. However, we don’t encourage whitening until more urgent needs are met like decay and or gum disease 🤷🏻♀️
@@leejohnson3959 Oh yes. My husband recently went for a cleaning. I think she scaled one tooth and said all done but pushed on him teeth whitening which is not covered by insurance. My husband reported her and got a thorough teeth cleaning at no charge with another dentist.
