    OMAD has been fantastic for this way-over-40 woman. I finally lost the excess pounds, got a flat stomach after 3 kids and thanks to lifting weights I have a lot more muscle. I will never go back.

      @@sanjam11 I do both weights and cardio, four times a week. I don't count calories, I just eat once a day, as healthily as I know how, with the odd treat within the eating window. But it was OMAD that got the weight off, not sport.

    Dhru, please bring experts in connective tissues onto the podcast - tendons, ligaments, joints, etc. and how to strengthen them, prevent pain and aid with recovery when weight training.

    • @dianetrue2396
      @dianetrue2396 Місяць тому +7

      Great question. You improve all connective tissue surrounding the joints by doing strength training with light to moderate weights consistently over a period of 6 to 8 weeks depending on your age and and level of fitness when you start. So very important as is warming up thoroughly in order to release synovial fluid, which is our natural lubricant at joint level. Most injuries occur because muscle overload is the focus instead of increasing the strength n flexibility of the joints n connective tissue. Muscle growth comes once you strengthen the joints. Slow n steady wins the race, then increasing the weight comes easier. Best wishes ❤

But I found the time savings and not having to hit the skip button every two minutes to be incredibly valuable, especially when I’m doing a run or something else where I’m not watching a screen, and then UA-cam videos can become like my podcasts. Just a tip from someone who made the switch three years ago and didn’t regret it.

I've always been a fast eater, just kind of wolf things down. I'm wondering if I took it slower and kind of spread the meal out a little if I could get higher volume in and do omad. 🤔 Right now I do two meals generally sometimes three. I feel like I'm not getting enough fat though, my energy level still isn't the best. The only time it was A-mazing was after about the 5th or 6th day into a water only fast. Paying for your neighbors healthcare while he eats cheeseburgers ever day isnt a wise use of money. That money is pooled by taxing societies labor/time. Which means your giving your life to sustain your neighbor, as he throws his life away.

    OMAD wasn't a good choice for me. I only lost a few pounds, but my hair fell out, raging heartburn and I got sick all the time. Wasn't worth it.

    The OMAD, 2MAD etc controversy should be on a individual basis. My fibroids dont give me relief until i add longer fast. Ive been vegan to raw vegan and now carnivore. I still do not get relief until i add an extended fast. Some health issues just needs to be starved to be healedbas long as you make your meals count nutritionally when you refeed.
