- brought my haul of books that I found while managing the book department at a thrift store. This week was my last week of work, so I had to bring everything home! I was very happy with all these finds! I hope you all enjoy!

I loved The Faithful Spy! Watched your video on Saturday and it made me want to go book thrifting so bad so I found a local book sale to go to and some thrift stores! 😄

I'm currently reading The Gospel Comes with a House Key. She actually mentions in that book about the Missional Motherhood and I saved it to my wish list.🙈 Maybe I'll get it eventually.

One of the "saddest things" 😊 is having all boys, and they do not share my love if Anne if Green Gables, Louisa May Alcott, the Heidi series, etc...
I just read the faithful spy. It’s so good. Although I have never read a graphic novel before, and I don’t like it much. I want to read foxes martyrs for sure!
I want to get The Faithful Spy. After watching Chantel's live one this book it really grabbed my attention.

Truly treasures! I've read several of those you mentioned but some are new to me which is wonderful. What fun to get some for free! My favourite finds are from used book stores and sales.
As you managed the book store section you've probably encountered interesting finds inside books such as inscriptions and bookmarks. One day I'd love to hear about your gems in a video.

Hmm I don’t know that I have enough cool finds to make a video 🤔 I should maybe sit down and make a list as they come to mind. We don’t often have the time to actually flip through books and see if people have tucked things inside. If it’s clearly visible we take it out but yeah … I wish I would have had more time to see if I could find treasures tucked inside books, but with the amount we had coming in, it wouldn’t have been super efficient. The things I can think of off the top of my head are simply receipts, boarding passes, dried flowers maybe, or random pieces of paper. I do remember finding old high school diplomas and other ID papers tucked in a book from the late 1800s/early 1900s!

@carmenjanae Fascinating! Thank you. I've often wondered what book sellers (and fellow buyers) find! Diplomas! How awesome is that? I once found $20 in a book but my favourite finds have been an old Thomas Hardy speaking engagement newspaper article and Princess Alexandra's signature and blurb in a book donated to a school in Canada. Incredible!
