- I needed to get out of a reading slump and thought this experiment would be a great way to do so! I was able to read 5 books in 6 days and that feels great! :) Hope you all enjoy!

I love that you did this. I'm taking a break from IG and have been off of Facebook for a long time now. I hate feeling like i "need" to post on IG. Im also out of the loop on book happenings tho (the instant ones) but I've got UA-cam. Lol. It's helped for sure to cut back
Loved your thoughts on c.s.lewis's book until we have faces. I was feeling very lost when I was reading it so I quit. Watched a UA-cam review about the hidden meanings which was helpful. Might have another go at it.

❤ great idea! I started monitoring my screen time during Lent and for the most part keep it under 2 hrs a day. I think I may try this for a week and delete Instagram during that time.

@@carmenjanae most definitely! I have also started turning my phone off on the weekends if my son isn't at work (he is an EMT and I worry) Yesterday I did less than an hour and 30 minutes of that was my bible app. I did a lot of reading yesterday and today.

Ah I was wondering if you included YT in this or not, I also use it in the background so for me it's hard knowing if it should count as wasted screen time or not lol

I haven't watched the full video yet, but curious if you've noticed the sm break made you less influenced to read certain books and to pick up more books you actually want to read?
Hi! Welcome ☺️🫶🏼 I would say that yes, in a way it did. But I’ve also never been a “trend reader”. 😂 I’m always reading books long after everyone else has read them and most of the books in this video have just been on my shelf for a long time and I’m trying to tackle my physical TBR. But yes, I guess UA-cam would be the biggest medium that influences what I read, but I didn’t cut that out this past week. I did however still choose books that I’ve been wanting to read myself that I never heard anyone talk about … if that makes sense. :)
My phone time average is HORRIBLE. I've got to do better!
