Hi stephanie, how long takes to prepared for a race? 3 weeks is to soon?in your experience im thinking to take the toronto race but idk if 3weeeks is not a good time to train myself
Ski erg is tough but you could attach 2 hands to a pull up bar and pull down with the same motion For sled pull I’d do a ton of heavy pull work for 6-8 reps. Then run. Then do more reps. Simulating the bicep, leg and back fatigue.
Planning to do a hyrox in October. Base fitness is ok. Gym 3 times a week, I get my steps each day. I’ve always been sporty, but cardio fitness isn’t the best right now. Is 5 months achievable?
@cmul3418 yep. Worked my way up to running 10kms. Weekly routine was; one long run (8-10km) one hyrox sim (usually a half but I did two where I did 6/8. Never did a full sim in training) a recovery jog (20-25 mins very light) and 2 strength sessions. Did a doubles and finished in 1:25. It's very doable. Running was very important. I think having a baseline of 10-15km as my long run would have served me a bit better, but if you can run 10km and do each of the exercises you'll be more than fine

When you say long run, how long is long?
I was just about to ask this same question. Is long run a 5 mile or 10 mile jog?
depends if ur used to running, but building up from 5 miles is great to start with
