Hi larcs I have a 57 plate vivaro and my engine is the 2.0 litre (m9R engine) currently on 224,000 miles, now I have changed 2 of them mounts on mine in 4 years and I've changed the stabilizer mount once now I'm in North Wales down farm tracks and very rugged terrain daily in my van but I can honestly say she has served me well so far... Original engine still running lovely but in February this year my gear selector bearing give up on me so I got a p6f box from a breaker in Bolton... A mate of mine swapped it to or me for £200 I love it, change the oil every 10,000 miles she still sounds lovely... Can't fault it really... I keep looking at vans but really can't bring myself to parting with it... It's an ex BT one been really looked after even before I bought it would definatley have another one... I had that bolt snap on the motorway on Boxing Day, the engine droppedand shredded the aux belt which resulted in me snapping the timing belt the following day and bending some valves 😢 She runs sweet now 😊
Hey Larcs, got a bit of a weird issue with my Vivaro and you'd helped me with other issues so thought I'd ask! Getting a weird rattle sound under acceleration. Doesn't seem to be a heat shield or anything like that. Took it to mechanic who changed my aux pulley and.... Did not fix the issue, but now I'm £350 worse off ha. They said maybe that sound was coming from bottom of engine? Didn't seem keen to do any more investigation. Thing is, i put a stethoscope to the engine and the rattle doesnt really get louder? If anything, it felt louder just listening to it with my ears. If you check my account, I posted a short with the noise in it. Any help would be much appreciated, maybe you've come across this before. I am wondering if maybe timing chain? It's not constant, I can drive without the noise. It's mostly when I give it some gas. Happens in neutral and when in gear. Cheers matey
Not sure? Start up is normally when the timing chain makes a more obvious noise. My first thought was it sounded like an external rattle from something. My first check would be heat shields etc but you've already checked them. It might take a bit of time finding that one 🙄. Good luck sorting it out 🤞

Hi, I used a trolley jack under the sump with a piece of wood to protect it.
What bolt size and where to buy
Sorry, can't remember exactly what size it was. I got the replacement from a local bolt supplier.
