- Watch as we take a look around the green Vauxhall Vivaro van which has been turned into a powerful speed machine with a fully forged Z20LET engine sourced from a Vauxhall Astra VXR. It has forged pistons and rods, a Garrett G30 turbo, and a whopping 540 horsepower, this modified van aimed to break the record for the fastest lap in a van around Nürburgring, currently held by Guy Martin. Join us as we take you through the modification process and show you what this incredible van is capable of. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned, and the van crashed during practice runs. How nice is it that you've invited Chris to your stand. I have 3 children myself and they literally take up all your time in the world, even when they don't they wanna get involved when your doing your little bits around the house and to your car. Hopefully this will give Chris the nudge to get it back out it's absolutely amazing ✌🏼🙏🏼

so I own an old fast car mag uno turbo. its been in the garage the last 15 years. at Christmas I hatched a plan to take the car where I wanted it back then. so old 240bhp 1.4 out and in with a k20 on a crv box. so far I've fitted a mx5 rear end to take a diff now im making mounts for the engine. hope to have it built and out by summer

@@rosco3223 if I never fitted a roll cage to the car 15 years back and it was still oem I can understand. but the car is far from that so who dares wins I guess. plus I still own the forged 1.4 and the box with the dta ecu

But I lost interest once my dad past not in cars but shows..... it was our thing my kids are not interested unless its tick tock or gaming. What pissed me off listening to his story about the ring is who did his insurance payout to that they needed to come after the guy to recoup anything !. Sounds like they folded and paid out towards the other guys insurers as everyone i know who has binned it at the ring just had to pay for any damages or services like recovery used at the ring and that was the end of it. Nothing to do with their insurers.
Whole systems disgusting, mine did me over claiming i was partially at fault for my zafira being written off because it was parked 8 inch off the curb, no choice with the potholes along my road. Lad who hit mine was doing 60 in a 30 high on nitrous oxide and i was in bed but that is some how 30% my fault. Thieving gits put my premiums up to £1K+ as well afterwards.

I'll never know where people find the parts that they have to buy for stuff like this. Whenever I google anything for my Vivaro the results always come up for bloody Transporters! 😆

Car parks and toll roads are usually excluded from cover
@@123MondayTuesday All UK roads are covered by your insurance including M6 toll and as most car parks are public access (ie if no locking gates etc) then they are also covered by your insurance if you can freely drive in without restrictions

EVERY insurance company I've ever got a quote with has asked wether it's going to be used on track/if I want track insurance/stated it wouldn't be covered if I did a track day unless track cover was used... It's universally known... Even standard cars not on modified specialist insurance have asked this... The Ring is even often used as an example of a track you might want to goto on 14 day holiday/foreign cover for example... I find it VERY hard to believe his insurer didn't state this/he didn't know... He MUST surely be declaring all the mods so any modified specialist DOES ask about this... I also have even worked for a car insurer that didn't allow mods and they also trained us with this knowledge...
The issue is the ring isent classed as a race track, it a toll road. An the ring isent just used as an example it’s used because it’s a public toll road. This is the gray area.
Always said insurance are a license to print money and will get out of it any way they can !!

The ring is classed as a Toll road not a race track. This is why insurance specifically state the ring on policy’s
@@TwinEngineCorsa but I can't see ANY insurance company buying that? Literally EVERYONE has heard of the Nurburgring. Sometimes insurance policy even covers 'racing against other vehicles or time'. I would have thought that anyone going to the Ring surely gets another policy or if possible changes to current policy. Either way it ain't worth the risk. Insurance companies are the scum of the Earth, always happy to take your money but equally happy to wriggle outta their end!
