The fact that the comic and character that is literally the embodiment of every young comic readers dream of becoming a superhero doesn't ever sell well enough is mind boggling.
When it was first created the comic sold more then superman I think. But DC just wants to use superman for everything or batman. Like give other characters a chance. Like they show shazam and somehow black adam always comes into play

Watch the movie "faster", it stars the rock as a recently released prisoner out for revenge for his brothers death, he has legitimate reasons for revenge but is a cold blooded killer never the less.

Also, killing doesn't necessarily make you a bad guy. Clearly violence is something The Rock is ok with, former wrestler and all....

Um..its his original origin story sooo obvi I'm gonna stick with the choices that actually put the character on the map. All that revising bs is cool but none of it woulda happened without the original storyline being loved to keep the character around long enough to be revised.

A fight against Superboy Prime ends two ways. One if fast and in a hurry and no one gets really hurt because if two, the fight drags out for any real amount of time, you are going to likely die at Superboy Prime's hands.

This is setting up a few things so even if the ending itself is lackluster, the implications still are exciting.
1. Superboy Prime is back
2. Shazam has the Magic Lands to protect and I think some really interesting stories can be done with the premise.
3. The redemption of Black Adam if done well could be a defining story for the character

Although he wasn't in it as much as I wanted it was still great to see whiny Superboy Prime. Overall this Shazam run is great.

@@fredbecerra1608 all I know that it is basically the master of all that’s evil in Dc and is so powerful that it can erase Pages from the Comicsand threaten the reader himself. Just by saying „Empty is my hand“ it basically destroyed 99% of all heroes. It is not entirely known what exactly it is. But it controlles a whole army of interdimansional Demons, of which everyone itself is as powerful as a god.

@@fredbecerra1608 it is actually so powerful that it actually brought Dark sides true Form back to life without any effort. It actually commanded Darkseid and a whole army of demons that were as powerful as true Form Darkseid.
The empty hand was able to use nix to bring back darkseid to use him as a menace of the multiverse. He does command the gentry who by themselves are each 5th dimensional demons with the potential to warp reality to a extreme sense. If just the gentry could do that then empty hand is on a whole nother level

God I love it when black Adam and Billy team up. The whole act with black Adam being like haha I'm evil because I'm evil is so played out. I like to think of Black Adam as similar to Dr Doom or t'challa. A leader who has to be a hard ass for his kingdome, but is still a reasonable and smart human

Dude, you should read SHAZAM #15. the story in that issue reflects what we as humans face in the real world when it comes to changing us as human beings. Change is hard. Focusing on that change is hard but it is also easy to do.

Ppl complaining that superboy prime got beat by Shazam and black Adam. First of all he was kind of weakened coming out of the prison, even at that it’s Shazam and black Adam, both of them are at the level of superman so I think combining them could be at a level to put him on his feet
@Shawn Kuhn he's way more powerful, I think the problem is that SBP was pretty much immune to Magic so seeing him getting beaten by Magic based characters pissed people off

I have a feeling Wonder Woman in Trinity crisis will convince Prime to work together and defeat Perpetua and Batmanhattan when he finds out Perpetua is going to wipe out his world which has Laurie. As Perpetua is wiping out the orrery.
And as you know Laurie is like Superboy Prime’s Lois Lane but Prettier, people don’t say pretty so she’s [insert word e.g. Peng] my guy.

This could change due to new oneshots.

Gahan Sambhar yeah it’s a good story and DC needs to give a proper reading order remember how I said the order of death metal #5 being after speed metal, instead DC released another oneshot called dark nights: death metal metaverses end. At this point I’m just reading whatever gets released first.

I love that so much. Adam is a hardass, but he eventually softens up and understands better, that's so cool!!!! Shazam, as a property, deserves more love tbh, especially in this 8 part iteration, this was cool. And definitely a great way to spend an hour. I watched all 8.

Bearwolf13 superboy prime let himself get hit by Black Adam multiple times in infinite crises and said himself “the magic! It hurts!! Actually, it tickles.” Then he one-shotted Black Adam. Magic has no effect on him.

Zvonimir Tomac if I had to guess I’d agree with Rob’s theory that he hadn’t fully powered up yet.
True but if you look back at the Yellow Lantern event before Flashpoint when Superboy Prime teamed up with Sinestro, Anti-Monitor, and Cyborg Superman, he wore the armor, but was not at his full power, even though he was wrecking everyone still before the sun came up and then faced against Ion.
The armor to me amplify him up but not much I would say and I have a theory that it keeps him from losing his abilities while under a red sun, since it was the armor that allowed him to gain powers to escape the Speed Force where I believe he was under a red sun
So basically it doesn’t produce natural solar radiation as an actual yellow sun would.
That’s why I am incline to believe he’s in a weaken state because the last time he fought against Black Adam, he punched him at sent him to another Earth and he was at full power to do that
Since we don't know when there will be another SHAZAM! book coming out (most likely, there will be another reboot, IMO), just do a recap on SHAZAM! #15. It was a fun story with some interesting tidbits in it.
What I love is when I buy comic for the price it says get it graded and then later on its worth a good penny. Like shazam 1 in this run or the new venom where virus is introduced, right now the comic I have with virus on the cover is 20$ at my comic shop

I think their gonna make a new Shazam and Black Adam comic together or something else. I feel like we still haven't seen the full powers of Shazam since darkside war and I need parts. Also the wizard is way more powerful now that he's been reborn idk why they have him acting like an old crone. From my understanding once a God breaks free from the source wall they start to slowly revert to their prime.
I have an idea Superboy Prime's fight was meant to be a few more issues, definitely as rushed ending

I feel like this ended with a solid win to a nice tight story, and there aren’t enough of those in DC comics right now.
I also feel like this story’s place in the overall timeline is weird. Like this was a direct follow up to the New 52 introduction story, but at the same time somehow taking place in the Rebirth era. Black Adam coming back isn’t explained, but everything else about this story feels like it immediately follows the New 52 Shazam origin story.
