These are amazing Japanese Food Inventions that are truly from the future. I am always surprised how efficient Japan is and the technology that they come up with to help make food preparation easier, faster and more convenient. Some of these Japan foods are so efficient that what used to take multiple steps to prepare, can be done in one easy step. Let me know which food item was your favorite.

My favourite saying has always been: Japan has been living in the 2010's since the 1980s, and today, still lives in the 2010's. It's amazing how much things have changed outside Japan in the last 4 decades. Not to discount all the great things they have today, but the wow-factor compared to 30 years ago really is apparent. I remember asking why no one knew how to use a computer (since they did everything on their mobile phones) thinking how it was ridiculous. Here is us today doing pretty much everything on our smartphones, they really were ahead. But today, it feels like there are a few things in Japan that really awes me like before. Show people the instant-heating bento/curry boxes by pulling the string. I thought those were super awesome! Basically a civilian MRE but with way better food!

Hi guys 😀 im always very happy when i receive a notification that you uploaded a new video. BTW i live in Canada, so around here quick microwave meal havent been popular at all for the last 5 years or so. People watch what they eat, as they try to eat healthier and also they try to save as much money as possible since food prices nearly doubled since the covid outbreak a few years back. So we tend to buy stuff on sale, and make a bigger batch and freeze some for later. Even many restaurants had to close due to loss of customers. I look forward to your future videos Paolo🤗

In Japan packed food is consumed regularly that's why it is feasible for the companies to sustain and provide fresh packed food.....in India we have only few items that are available in packed food category - like cup noodles, chicken nuggets, bugger patties and some companies do have other Indian dishes provided as packed food...but I have never tried anyone of these...except for cup noodle from Nissin (Japan) and Maggie (Nestle) and recently some companies from South east Asia to have offering in cup noodles category...but yet to try....I have been watching your video and I have become a "fan" of Japanese people for their humbleness, eye for detail, devotion, dedication and simplicity.

Hi Paolo! Greetings from Chile ❤These kind of products are not seen in non-asian countries 😢 it's quite hard to find easy to prepare, well balanced products. Also you don't find very often umami flavors, so whenever I want to eat something like that I have to go to an Asian market, and everything there is around 4 times the original price (A miso cup noodle costs around 4.20 dollars each)

    • @brianflynn5355

These are all specifically Japanese. Don't put Asians together as a single ethnic group. Japanese products are not the same as inferior Chinese & Korean knockoffs. Is Chilean culture the same as Mexican culture? Are all Latin American culture & cuisine the same?

The thing that you do @ 4:20 was already available in India during late 90's and even was getting exported to US. Pre-cooked curries came in hard plastic bags that can be kept outside or in the fridge. You could simply boil water in a pot and place the unopened pouch for a few minutes in the pot and that was it. Hot tasty food was ready to eat. But due to the push to avoid plastic both in India and in the US, the product didn't fly out well.....

Thing with the pasta though is that a fresh pasta takes 3 minutes to cook (not including boiling the water) so are you saving time when it takes 13 minutes to microwave it?

The last one would be a real bummer for me, as I am sure you can't heat this on an induction stove , so I would have to make a pot dirty 😅

2:54 so I had like a 1/16th of a bottle left(such small bottles for a hot sauce lover😭😭) and made a salsa verde with crazy amount of peppers. I added some water and shook the bottle clean and added it to the mixer, crazy enough, the taste of you hot sauce actually punches through everything else🤯. Imo still not hot enough though🤪

Actually the squeeze sauce condiments is something that I believe several diners (Denny’s, ihop, etc) have utilized in the states for at least a decade or two. Otherwise everything is very cool.

I felt every Italian just faint when u broke the pasta!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 but I was just laughing cause I have to do it to for my nan cause she has bad arthritis and can’t use her one hand so it’s difficult for her to twist up pasta on her fork at times. So I break the pasta to make easier for her to pick up. But every time I do it when someone is over, I always hear a *gasp* when I do it. It’s always funny till I have to explain why.

The Ajinomoto gyoza was/are at select Costco’s in the US starting in the northwest region. I definitely want to try it, but our Costco is usually last to get stuff.
