    This video had two new angles on the street running and one can't help but laugh where in the span of 5 Seconds the unit blows a stop sign a no right turn sign and a do not enter sign. Then on the way back four guys in reflective vests try to capture it behind an orange plastic fence but they missed. A poor bird swoops down to get a tasty morsel from between the rails but has to do a touch and go as the unit approaches. Lastly the white pickup truck hugs the curb and comes to a stop the exact opposite of anybody driving in LaGrange KY would do. Even the bike path has enough signs to confuse one but notice nobody ran the stop lights! Special thanks for photographing that bridge especially the way the support peers are placed to spread the weight out and avoid those culverts Bridges at an angle can really bring out some great designs and this one was no exception. Plus Brandy was spot on catching the biscuit

    Whenever I see videos of street running trains, I always wonder which came first, the railroads or the streets. I like to try to imagine how the area looked before settlers came there, how the landscape changed over the years, especially where the spreading urban sprawl of towns would encroach on the railroads. I think it's just as fascinating as the trains themselves.
    I also do find short trains just as interesting as the longer, as I like to speculate on the reason for such short trains. That's the thing. There's always a reason for every train. It's just that living in Australia, each video is like looking through a small window and only catching a brief glimpse of a passing parade. And I do love a parade.

    • @Edward-bd8iy
      @Edward-bd8iy 4 місяці тому

      Greetings from the Suncoast of Florida USA. I love a parade also... and I love seeing Footy on FoxSports, although the coverage is spotty. They have shown a few more games this year than before, the last one I got was the Brisbane Lions two weeks ago. For some reason, I have grown partial to the Geelong Cats these last two seasons; haven't seen them for a month.

    I liked the news locations that you found to catch the Norfolk Southern local as it ran down the street in Franklin, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! The Norfolk Southern local pulling the covered hopper and the tank car was not the type of train that we would have liked to see at crossing near the former coal fired electric generating plant in Miamisburg, Ohio. I wonder how much cleaning will have to be done before that former coal fired electric generating plant can be repurposed. The Norfolk Southern train working its way on the approach to the bridge in Miamisburg, Ohio looked good from the location that you found to capture the train. The CSX auto rack train in Carlisle, Ohio was a bonus for this video.

    Long ago and far away I ran my own "Hot Shot" rig, one ton dually and a gooseneck trailer!
    I had a 24' heavy duty gooseneck custom built instead of the typical 40', which allowed me to haul more weight. I was based out of the Fort Worth/Dallas area, F/W had a Southern Pacific heavy maintenance repair facility. Because of the extra 1000 lbs, I was able to transport the larger "traction motors" for the locomotives. Paid for round trip also, deliver remanufactured one, returned the damaged one. Plus, because it was a dually & goose I was able to go to the site so they could swap motors. Extra money, plus always a tip!
    Great men to work with!
    Not to mention touring the "Round House" at F/W and seeing locomotives in different stages of repair. "Quicksilver" in the hammer lane, jest a git'n it! Damn I miss those days!🤠

    When the Timer reads 7:00. You can Barely see the Signal Lights showing a Yellow over Red. Approach. Not sure if you saw that Jaw tooth. But that's how usually you could tell which train track the train will be arriving on. But then again I'm not sure if that was one set of signal lights or two of them. There's usually two on each side of the tracks.🙂👍❤🚂🚃🚃🚦🚦. Love your Videos. But now I see there's is 2 sets of them. And they are Both Approach. so you're right. That is hard to tell which track the train will be on. Went back and saw the video Jaw Tooth.👍

      When you see the local get onto the Franklin Sub drive across the river and turn your scanner on. Sometimes they use 160.980 and sometimes 160.800 on the industrial spur. They don't always go over the bridge and down the street when they are on the spur because they work the other customer more. You should try to catch them.

      I would like to have that fire truck. I would paint my channel name on it and drive it around. I had a good friend who owned his own fire truck and he took it to parades. We had fun with it

    This video had the shortest trains I've seen on your channel, definitely not Hamilton😂😂. I love that trussle with the ns mixed freight going over it. Should have a train viewing lane for railfans, just a thought. Was that Franklin County for that street running train? My late wife was from Franklin County! Never been there so it would be kinda nice to see where she hailed from. Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on

      Thank you very much! No, that was the city of Franklin, not the county. Thanks for watching!

    Jt you should have went to the end of the line at Franklin yard. There's 25 or more covered hoppers in storage on two tracks there

    I notice the street runners in Philadelphia frequently have a flag man in front at traffic intersections and the someone throws flares.

    Big bridge, must have had a lot of freight traffic in the past to warrant a big bridge…😊

    Interesting how the tracks bend to the right going on to the bridge.
