Ozzy released this song in 91, and Motorhead did their own cover version of this song a year later. Lemmy passed in 2015 and both he, and Ozzy, were great friends. So they used some of Lemmy's vocals from the cover, with Ozzys from the original, for this tribute version released a couple years ago with this awesome music video. This is a huge tribute to their friendship.
@@topakuivalainen nope. "Hellraiser" is a song written by Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, and Lemmy Kilmister. The song was recorded by Osbourne for his 1991 album No More Tears and also by Motörhead for their 1992 March ör Die album. Motörhead's version was released as a single.
Hellraiser was written by Ozzy, Zakk Wilde and Lemmy for Ozzy's 1991 "No More Tears" album where it's just Ozzy singing it, then Lemmy did it for his next album "March or Die" in 1992 and then they did this version, a culmination of both. Lemmy's version was also used in the 1992 film Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.
I didn't know that! Of course I've never really looked into who it was written by but, it's cool to learn something new after so many years of hearing & loving that song! 🤘🏼💙🤘🏼
@@jangles1839 Yeah blew my mind when I saw the interview! The guy asked if Lemmy got any royalties and he said no! Ozzie payed him to write 4 songs and paid like 200000! Lemmy was just happy that the next like 10 years his Jack Daniels was paid for lol!
This is the 30th anniversary version of the song. Ozzy, Lemmy, and Zakk Wylde collaborated on writing this song. Zakk was Ozzy’s guitarist at the time. Ozzy released his version of the song first, then Motörhead released a version. If I understand correctly on this 30th anniversary version, they recorded new instrumental parts, and then used the original vocal masters to mix Ozzy and Lemmy’s vocals for the track. This is my favorite version of the song. Before, it was a toss up between Ozzy and Lemmy, with a slight edge to the Motörhead version, as I felt the vocal style fit the song well, but Ozzy’s version had the cleaner instrumentation. So many Easter eggs throughout this music video as well.
This isn't their only collaboration. They did a song called "I ain't no nice guy". It's actually a ballad. You guys should definitely react to that one!! The guitar solo is also done by Slash as well!
I love the fact thats lemmy and ozzy doing all off this in the clip, just for take back their guitar, and finish their arcade game. Thats so funny 🤣🤣🤣 And WOW this two fucking rock !! What a song !!🤘🔥🔥
Serious "Heavy Metal: The Movie" vibes off of that vid! If any of you have never seen "Heavy Metal" please do, it's an excellent movie. Just the right amount of cheese and an awesome soundtrack. Nice reactions as well from you two, thanks for the vid :)
Ozzy did everything in his not inconsiderable power to earn the title "Prince of Darkness" Man was wild. But we love Ozzy. Love Lemmy too. Great vid. Great reaction.👍🏻
Legend has it that, in their prime, these two drank more booze than the entire continent of North America. Seriously though, they are absolute legends. It's sad to say, but I think the days of the rock star are gone for good.
Cuando vi el video recordé inmediatamente un capitulo de "Duck Dodgers" en el que aparece Megadeth también luchando contra los marcianos de la serie. No conocía este video, gracias! Saludos
Omg so many Easter eggs. Lemmys bass. Mr Crowley on the van. The “orgasmatron” ship. Started crying first time I watched when I saw Philthy Taylor. Lemmys Murder One Amp Head. Thee Diary of a Madman and the Overkill button!!! Ozzy turning into the demon from the Ultimate Sin album cover. Probably missing some but great reaction guys.
the first time i heard this was when motorhead did the cover.it was also on the hellraiser 2 soundtrack the video was motorhead and the chracter pinhead makes a cameo as well
Technically Lemmy and Ozzy wrote the song together but didn't perform the song together but separately and they just combined both vocals from each song decades later.
This is a posthumous "editing room" collab... and a good one. Might even be the best version now. But "I Ain't No Nice Guy" is the real deal Lem / Ozz collab. also, Lem wrote a few other songs for Ozzy's No More Tears.. "Mama I'm Coming Home" being one, and it up one of Ozzy's biggest hits
Have to say I prefer the pure Motorhead version, if you want to try out another Motorhead/Ozzy collab this time with Slash added to the mix try "I Ain't No Nice Guy" from March or Die. Or for just pure Motorhear "Burner" from the B*stards album (yup they called an album B*stards!! It's one of my favourite albums
Lemmy wrote it.. gave it to Ozzy.. both performed it in their concert sets.. got together and performed it later on.. just proves that people can get along.. Nowadays they'd be suing eachother.. They were brothers. Back when people were decent
i paused the video to say this when Ozzy Realsed this for the anniversary i flipped shit and i was like NO WAY OMG OZZY PUT LEMMY ON THIS SONG FOR THE ANNIVEDRSARY OZZY YOU ARE A DAMN GOAT but lets be honest is Ozzy Osbourne is the goat in general
I know this is way off the mark of the video topic, but Marshall Bruce Mathers III sounds like it comes with a pair of boat shoes and a cardigan. "I say old chap, I do believe I'm beginning to feel a tad like a rap god..."
Absolutely LOVE this song!! (although I do prefer the Ozzy original, but I appreciate the collaboration with the co-writer Lemmy!) Great video too! Thanks guys. I think it's high time that you guys check out Miracle Man! It's a direct assault on the televangelist bible thumpers (namely Jimmy Swaggert) that claimed that Ozzy was the Devil's music, amongst other things, but then in a twist of irony (& karma), he was caught (literally) with his pants down with a prostitute - Ozzy had a field day with that (and made a great song/video about it). Enjoy!
Was that a cloud in the shape of a polka dotted Flying V (nod to Randy Rhoads)? The ace of spades on the button in the van The Diary of a Madman book Mr. Crowley on the van is kind of obvious, idk if that one counts 😆
This is the first album I ever went out and bought on my own. And I've listened to it for so long and so often since its release date that this new mix just doesn't sound right. Lemmy is God, and he wrote a lot of the lyrics for Ozzy on this album and deserves all the praise he gets for it. But his voice just doesn't sound right mixed with Zack's riffs imo

not exactly a cover, more like their version. This song was originally written by Lemmy, Zakk and Ozzy. (same as Mama, I'm coming home).
Is it really a cover if you wrote it?

It's funny because we would need subtitles if Ozzy and Lemmy had a conversation together, both are legends

wish i woulda seen this comment before i said i believe it was Zakk Wylde played the guitar but hey at least i remembered though haha
That bass playing through the whole song is sick.

The guitar is Zakk Wylde and he is touring with the Pantera reunion at the moment. He and Dime were very close friends
This album was Zakk Wylde’s masterpiece. It put Ozzy back on the map. The album was fire from beginning to end.
This and diary is his best works imo
Zakk's tone is incredible. I saw this tour, but also a few years before this one when Zakk first joined Ozzy. No Rest for the Wicked was great too.
the version you reacted to was the 30th anniversary edition which combined the vocals of the Ozzy and Killmister, which were previously separated.

Ozzy and Lemmy were really good friends, Lemmy penned a few of Ozzy's songs

Next song I can recommend is Patient number 9 That is hell of a sick song IMO and Music video man this is another level like you are on high XD
The song was written by Lemmy for Ozzy
This is proof that Lemmy was God since he could beat Pinhead who is basically the General of Hell’s army at a game of poker

Aint no nice guy... that's a must... lemmy ozzy and slash
