I am not a religious man, but I do honour and respect any person who has changed or is changing the world for the better regardless of if they are religious or not! More power to those who want to good and make our world a better place for all!
It's sad that the Lorraine Motel became an infamous symbol of hate, for back in its time it was a symbol of racial tolerance and cooperation. A black owned motel, it was one of the only places where black and white musicians could congregate and socialize when they were in town recording at the nearby Stax Recording Studios (whose museum you should visit before leaving town). Otis Redding & Steve Cropper together wrote many of Otis's hit records while hanging out at the motel, including "Sittin' On The Dock of the Bay."
You are correct. I’ve heard Cropper speak in interviews about spending time at the Lorraine when Stax musicians were in town.
Makes sense why they killed him in the that hotel so they can shut that down like every other black owned business. Guess ,what y’all’s time has ended. No one’s taking this 💩 anymore. Y’all will feel the wraith 2xs worse than us. This say. the Bible. We’re waiting for that green.
So she was pretty much next door to him, that’s why they changed the room. Only survivor and witness. They’ll probably kill her too
Gosh, Tzedek, that sounds like a threat, leveled at me, even though I just expressed a message of tolerance and acceptance. As he explains in the video, The Lorraine was no longe a viable business at the time that it became a civil rights museum. It's designation as an historic site probably saved it from the wrecker's ball. A motel where Dr. King once stayed, in my town, no longer stands. I don't think that James Earl Ray was trying to destroy a business. He was trying to destroy a man, and an idea.
And I've said it before, but Adam, you are the best teacher I've ever had. I've learned so much from you, things I never would have researched otherwise. Thank you for your efforts!
thanks George

Incredibly powerful vlog today Adam. I 'll definitely be visiting these places on my travels.
I loved today's vlog very much. I've always wanted to visit there. I was fortunate enough to visit the recently constructed MLK Memorial in D.C. which is another very powerful and moving experience. Great vlog Adam. Thank you.
Id like to check that out one day
adamthewoo I recommend seeing it at night. It gives a special ambiance that I can't put into words.
Tampa Jay I saw the memorial a child standing next to me asked if it was Obama
His last words was actually
“Ben, make sure you play ‘Take My Hand, Precious Lord’ in the meeting tonight. Play it real pretty.”
And another thing
when they come to repair anything to the motel and they’ve been doing this for I think about 2 or 3 decades(I’m not sure how long) trying to clean up the pool of blood Reverend Doctor Martin was laying in when he was shot they come back the next day to finish the repairs or within the next few days and it’s right back to the way it was they’ve even replaced the concrete slab I heard once (I’m sure they wouldn’t do that) but it keeps coming back so after a long time they just gave up and left it there Some people think it’s Martin trying to telling them something I just think it’s how much he bled out and how thick it was because blood will only leak on to a certain point and then it will start to soak into the ground it’s in and it will be hard to get rid of but if anyone has made it this far thank you for reading and have a wonderful day
MLK and Malcob warned us of the leftist of today
the real rosa parks bus is at the henry ford museum in dearborn mich along with the chair abe lincoln was shot in and jfk's limo he was shot in. lots on very cool historical stuff there. you should check it out one day. its also connected to greenfield village, basically an outdoor museum with historical houses and things
I need to get to the Henry Ford museum. Its on my list for sure
mike lee yelp I’ve watched that whole story
@@adamthewoo Don't forget Hitsville USA, I know it's been two years now so not sure if you got to Michigan yet.
@@adamthewoo you won't be disappointed Adam
Fascinating! I am a history buff so these types of vlogs always mean a lot to me. Thank you for once again doing it the right way. The "silent tour" through the museum was perfect.
Adamthewoo - As a Canadian, whom is into American history. I thank you for the poignant and history based vlogs. I will continue to watch like I have for the last two years! Thanks Professor Woo!
All the best from the Great White North!
thanks Dustin . appreciate you watching
Adamthewoo ... My pleasure! If you're interested in coming to Canada (Particularly, the East Coast) feel free to message me. We have some very unique history here as well!
Hello from Toronto
Martin Luther King was an extraordinary man. He was gone way too soon. He made a huge impact
MLK was an Amazing man. George Soros hated him, clearly.
303 or 307 . The mystery continues
adamthewoo You're just like Columbo, the little things get to him.
adamthewoo Even if the room numbering didn't make sense logically, they should have left them as is for historical purposes. Someone wasn't thinking...
adamthewoo hello from ur biggest fan from nc
I smell a fish on that number change! Is it possible he could've been shot at a similar... never mind I'm overthinking. Thanks for that piece of information!
adamthewoo that is really weird...
Awesome!! I visited the final resting place & birth home of MLK a few months ago. Very moving. Thanks for sharing, Adam. I really enjoyed this!
LifeandLemons I did to it was beautiful ❤️
I'm glad you brought this sad piece of history to your viewers today. I was 13 when Dr. King was slain, and I still get emotional every time I think about it. He accomplished so much during his short lifetime. Some people are born to be leaders and Dr. King was one of those people. His loss to the nation is so great that it can't be measured.
I've always wanted to go there. Great Video, Adam. I was fortunate enough to go to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr National History Site in Atlanta Georgia last year. Visited his birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church where he preached, and his final resting place with his wife, Coretta. Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr & civil rights in general
He sure disrespected his wife a lot by sleeping with many women and poor ole coretta knew about it
Dr. King asked for EQUALITY and we ALL can agree on that.
Thank you for taking us there.
Adam I learn more from you daily then I ever did in school. Thanx
that means a lot to me
adamthewoo Hey Adam, me and my dad enjoy your videos and we also like watching your dads videos. Keep up the good work!
Pam Krohn so true!
Pam Krohn this is why I absolutely love getting my dose of Daily :D not only is Adam incredibly funny, but packs so much info into the videos I love that. I cant get enough
Pam Krohn than* (since you like learning, I figured I'd correct you)
i can't exactly explain why i enjoy alll of your videos so much, but i do. Thank you.
I appreciate you watching, Thanks Pamela
Primarily consider the content of a person's character before anything else. A philosophy we should all follow.
Thank you for showing this Adam, it means a lot.
Love that your being very respectful and quite in the museum.
Thanks for all the good work Adam, your blogs have become a important part of many people's day.
no problem John. Thanks so much for the kind words
i was born april 8 th 1968. this vlog is significant to me.
I've been to the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles and it was heart-wrenching. Just the few moments in your vlog of this museum was emotional for me, too. But I love learning, so I thank you for taking us with you, Adam. Dr King was a good, Godly man who was making a huge difference in this world. I believe, had he lived, our world would be so much different... more united, tolerant and understanding. Dr King's death, out of all the recent ones you've vlogged about recently, is the only one that has brought me to tears while watching. It was truly a tragic event that has left our lives for the worse.... and I say that as a white woman, if anyone cares to know. As far as the 303/307 debate... I'm wondering, was there a 307 room there somewhere? Maybe down that hallway? I figure it got changed to better go with the flow of room numbers and the person who did it simply wasn't thinking about the historic factor to those numbers. But what do I know? lol
I was researching this just the other night. Really tragic but thanks for posting a video on it Adam, really tugs on the heart strings
it does for sure. Thanks for the comment
The photograph from the night prior when he's entering the motel, the room number looks like 301, not 307. There's also two windows behind him, today there's only one. Possibly a corridor leading to room 302's former location.
I like how you get the exact angles of the original photos then go back and forth to show it. Good job
Thank you Adam..... your vlogs like these are so enlightening....I enjoy my vicarious learning through you...keep travelling man...
Man I am loving the content of the vlogs Adam. I feel like you are giving me a guided tour of history.
I love history and would love to go to the museum.
I really enjoy seeing these slices of history. From the big tragic moments to the untold stories, you do a fine job of keeping the content entertaining and fresh. Thank you for sharing with us Adam.
thank you for saying that. I do my best
Thank you Adam. I live vicariously through your vlogs and I learn a lot from your posts. You're an amazing teacher. Keep up the great work.
U2's "Pride in the name of love" played in my head during this. ..... Early morning , April 4.....shots rang out in the Memphis sky. Free at last, they took your life. They could not take your pride.
Wasn't he shot in the evening, though?!
@@andreag7958 bono does sing it early evening now .
@Harry Browneigh great song...that's only your opinion masquerading as a fact. Ha
I love that song. I learned at a young age, the song is about MLKjr and Jesus. Bono's daughter's name is Memphis Sky, in honor of this amazing man.
@@andreavinson9314 your wrong .it's eve and jordan. Surely you could of googled that before stating that.
Morning Adam great vlog love your film narrative. Your approach to this historic moment is unique.
Adam, this was absolutely great filming! I always look forward to your videos but your filming and research is amazing. Hugs, Diane
You do a great job with the historical locations, thank you Adam!
And great "Shining" reference by the way, Adam.
glad you caught that
adamthewoo my all time favorite horror movie!
thank you Adam for a very moving vlog so so sad . I personally think Dr King was a very great man may he rest in peace.
Hi Adam, greetings from England, your vlogs are so interesting and informative, I really look forward every day to watching them. Thank you for taking us with you on your travels.
Another great vlog, Adam. It is great to see angles we never see of historic locations. Enjoy Memphis and the great state of Tennessee as we enjoy vicariously. Safe travels!
Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for the sometimes serious things you share with us. I have learned a lot in recent days...
All subjects Ive wanted to cover for a while now, Thanks for watching
***** You're welcome. I always look forward to your vlogs every morning, Adam. Thanks for all you do...
Adam was walking in Memphis, walking with his feet ten feet off of Beale.
You're special!!!😉
I really enjoy your daily History Lesson. You visit places I know I will, never see in my lifetime. So thank you for taking the time to show whoever is watching. Take care Adam.

🕊MLK Rest In Peace. 🕊
Excellent job covering this topic. Safe travels to you, Adam.
I've so looked forward to and enjoyed all these on your road trip. This one and JFK one were awesome. Thank you Adam.
What a powerful piece of history. It breaks my heart to see such an amazing man laying on a piece of cement knowing that he only has a few more moments alive. Thank you for the sensitivity and respect that you have shown in creating this. Safe travels Adam.
I need to see this museum in person❤
I love your videos. As a history teacher, you are helping the new generation to learn history in ways that are impossible to do in a traditional classroom. Thank you for your awesome work.
I’m a Canadian and was a child when he was assassinated. Many years later in my 60s I took a bus tour to Memphis. We boarded the bus for what I thought was a tour of the record studios. Before I knew it we were at the Lorraine Motel. I got out and took pictures. The tears streamed down my face and I couldn’t stop. It was uncontrollable. I was embarrassed because I was the only one crying. It’s sad that we haven’t come very far since then.
6:16 I can't help but notice how nice they have the bus driver talking to Rosa lol When that really happened I guarantee you he said ALOT worse then "please move to the back of the bus."
I wouldn't gauruntee that. I can see the driver saying to please move to the bAck of the bus. No need to say anything else, that alone is degrading enough.
Why? Because all white people are racists? How about if he had 6 children at home to feed and he could possibly lose his job by letting her sit where she wanted.
@@garypoe4411 Just following orders?
good morning adam the woo I am such a huge fan of yours from Minnesota
I was there a few weeks ago. Great video, Adam.
Absolutely fantastic work Adam, keep up the good work.
Come to Dearborn Michigan. I will show you around. You would love Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield village and all the other stuff!
I know I need to get up there for sure !

Yes, I have suggested this as well, he must see the grounds Walt Disney Walked with Henry Ford when Disney was planning Disneyland.

Adventures by George One day the cosmic forces well aligned just right I'm sure of it and if I can get Jason and Adam together the world better watch out for our combination of creative goodness
adamthewoo as far as I can tell the wind is blowing northeast so as long as Large Marge keeps her back to the wind your travels might end up coming through this way either way I enjoy your videos bro you are a constant inspiration for me 😊 thank you
I know this is older, but thank you for doing this video.! It’s very educational
Great video as always Adam. Always starts the day off right.
303? 307? Mandela Effect, perhaps?
Perhaps not. Grow up
Or the hotel just changed the number...
I've been told by my elders, always Greet people with a Smile. A Smile goes a long way.
it does for sure, great advice
I’m glad I found this channel, great content!
Thanks Adam ..for share these video very informative!!
Be careful in Memphis Adam as I have heard Memphis isn't very safe.
Ear Wick All of those Mormans.😂
I never understood how people thought it was okay to treat other people as less then themselves.
Adam, you've really stepped things up the past week. Some excellent work my friend. Awesome. Have a great weekend, buddy.
I find new things I want to research in every video! Thank you again! I know it may get lonely, but what you do is much appreciated!
I was eleven at the time of his assasination. Maybe the room number was changed To confuse us. Obviously right. Wow. I don't get it.
Adam, do you ever question what the government says?
Thanks Adam! You’re the man. Keep the history alive.
Very Powerful video Adam. I love your videos and the inspiring and meaningful messages that you impart on us all. It just goes to show once again, what a Sweetheart of a Guy you truly are.
One day I'll start a Vlog series where I track the places the Woo has been. I'll be like "The Majestic was parked right by that tree in the background you can match the shots to DaliyWoo 1889776."
that would be great. Id watch it for sure . Thanks for the comment Marc
good morning.
I don't like how the have a dream speech is copyright. they can't air it even on his holiday. family needs to get paid.
Ninja Master I didn't know that
WTJU, Charlottesville, plays the speech, or one o his others, every MLK Day. You can tune in online to listen.
***** it can be broadcast if it's licensed like a song. Family gets paid. UA-cam videos showing it get strikes and pulled.
We tried to listen this year and it was hard to find a source.
I understand the family wanting to protect his work but it seems about profit for them.
He's a national hero and has a national holiday and many buildings and schools in his name.
Don't seem right.
His speech is copyrighted?? That's terrible! Dr King would never stand for that :(
He was killed and did not have the opportunity to provide for his family. His speeches were copyrighted because. as he alluded to more than once, he felt he would be assassinated. Proceeds from using his speeches would be some money for his family, so in a way he is still supporting them. Also, the family has the power to decide how, why, when, where and by whom the speeches are going to be used, which is important
loved today's vlog, always nice to see your videos every morning. hope your travels are going great :)
Thank you Adam for showing this to us.
Adam you just found a glitch in the matrix du-du-du-du du-du-du-du
all those people who fought for civil rights back then would be ashamed to see their people act up the way they do today. they were respectful people.
Awesome job on this Vlog Adam!
I just today found your UA-cam channel, and now I'm like binge watching your videos. Very cool videos. Keep them up.
301 not 307. Look at the pics 307 was down a ways to the right
good eye, either way its no longer 303 tho
Adam, some would say its the mandala effect! lol jk....303 or 307.....
Or the hotel changed the numbers
Great video. Got to stop by here on my way back to Detroit in 2016 and I just froze in amazement
I visited the Civil Rights museum in Memphis, and it was an eye-opening experience. Well done, Adam.
303 v/s 307 = Mandela Effect residual!
Jason Turner or they just changed it to be accurate
It's in multiple pictures...it WAS that way, not REMEMBERED that way
how are you
I'm great thanks Jordan
This is just a common event in the history of mankind. A struggle for power. Just like the cops killed in Dallas.
Another wonderful vlog, Adam. Thank you
Love the vlog today Adam.... keep up the good work
Mandela effect
Wasn't it originally called The LaRayne motel?
I like jelly beanz
No you don't.
We love our daily history lessons from +Adamthewoo !
Well done Adam. Brilliant vlog!!!!!!!
Death obsessed lately.?????
I do not like starting the day depressed.
always try to mix up the content .
John Doe Jr. he has to report on the history based on where he is....he can't control what happened. he happened to be in a string of places that are famous for deaths.
He's always visited cemeteries. he's got vlogs with cemeteries as far back as i can remember, even on the Adamthewoo channel. It's just who he is. I don't think he's afraid of death at all and likes to celebrate the life of each person he visits the grave of.
You better get used to it. They are where you will be.
What happened to the jokes and wacky roadside attractions? I like the theme park and humor I'm missing now.
no matter what I do Its never fully embraced. I have to do whatever subject I feel like doing each day. When I am near something of this importance I feel it necessary to document it in my own way. Thanks for understanding , plenty of light hearted stuff coming soon
Timothy TY yes this is a bummer
Glenn McGown Feel free to start your own vlog
Timothy TY Adam is like a box of chocolate's. You never know what's inside his video's.😕😜😀 (Forest Gump)
adamthewoo ~ thank you Adam for all of your dedication, it's really appreciated & enjoyed :)
