Thank you for stopping in Hinton, OK! That was my grandpa Roy Taylor you were talking about. My grandparents and my dad are in the cometary there also but I haven't been back since my dad's funeral. my Granpa Roy is also in the fiddler's hall of fame in Oklahoma City. He used to Have jam sessions in the barber shop when business was slow . I was never allowed to go to work with him because girls weren't allowed in the barber shop or the pool hall but my brother always got to go.
That was so cool of him to do that :)
Love watching you're road trips ..hope to visit USA one day.
Kathy Fair My mother was born in Hinton in 1929.
bchlovr is she still alive
Doing my best to cover as much ground and subjects as possible each day . Hope you enjoy the vlogs .
We love you Woo-ster.
Vlogs are awesome Adam, continue to have safe travels.
Adam you jerk, kidd8ng, but you made me cry , a bit. that was awesome you took the time to find that guys grandfather's creation, touching. 👊
Totally digging the vlogs! Glad to see you are enjoying the open road. Keep up the good work and God bless.
Excellent job, good sir. Excellent job. Another morning of things I might never have seen.
Thanks for stopping in Hinton. I used to hang out in that Barbershop as a kid with my Grandpa. Eventually my grandfather moved to Oklahoma City where he opened another barbershop. I'm enjoying the journey.
Do you remember Roy the Fiddler? He use to have jam sessions there!
@@kelliintexas3575 Roy Taylor was my grandpa. In 1981 and 1983 he was the Oklahoma state champion Fiddler.
Adam your so sweet. That was very thoughtful of you to show the baber pole. I'm sure your viewer who's grandfather made that is very happy ! Thanks for still have a huge heart.
You rock brother. Stopping by to see that barber pole was very cool of you. Riding around with big the foot and seeing all that cool stuff makes me jealous! Keep up the good work bro!
I'm so enjoying your journey, Adam! Thank you for taking us along with you. You're in my prayers for safe travels!
thank you
If you drive through Memphis, TN. stop and hit me up. I work at the Gibson Guitar factory and would love to give you a tour of the factory.
Would love this!
My dad's cousin was the Custom Guitar Manager in Kalamazoo. MI for 25 years or more . I
sounds fun. might be a while before I get there but in time for sure
I want a tour of (one of) Gibson's factories! Pure Americana, like the Corvette Museum and the Factory Tour. Even if the realities of a modern day union shop are also on display there :-(
Is it true that Ric Olsen of 80's band, Berlin, works there? If so, say hi to him for me. I am a huge Berlin fan.
Another awesome and action packed Vlog! So many great little pieces of history out there to be seen.
Life really stinks lately, thanks for giving me a break. Love the traveling.....
keep the faith Sarah
+adamthewoo Thank you brother.
Adam, I can't wait to see your vlogs in the morning!!! I'm in the van with you brother, you seriously keep us entertained and amazed at what some will never get to see in this beautiful country of ours...keep up the good vlogging and thank you again for making my day better already!!!
Awesome video! So nice of you to take the time to find and show the barber shop pole crafted so long ago by a viewer's grandfather. And I'm a newspaper girl at heart, so I appreciate the interesting history in your travel vlogs! Safe journey! And keep having fun! 😊
Agreed! I was touched to see Adam do that. I'm glad he spotted that guy's request out of the thousands of messages he must get each day :o
It really was a thoughtful gesture! :-)
By the way, I just checked out your channel and your dumpster diving video was pretty darn funny. LOL! New subscriber here. :-)
Thank you, Maria! That means the world to me!!! :)
+VLOGNOSIS You're welcome! 😊
Dude, you have no idea what watching this meant to me. In 1973 I packed up my bags and left Harrisburg, PA to start a new life in sunny Los Angeles. I drove Rte 66 knowing I was doing something that could never be done again in quite the same way as the Interstates were just being completed and Rte 66 would be a memory. I am so damn glad I took this road to California. Watching this video brought back such wonderful memories for me! I got tears in me eyes, dude. Thanks for making an old fart 70 year old dude remember a wonderful time in his life. 😂😂
I live in Harrisburg now and I understand why you left.
Another awesome video Adam. They're inspiring. I hope to travel across the states too someday
This is the most interesting and fun vlog on youtube. I love it!
That was so cool of you to take the time to find and film that persons grandfathers barber pole! I bet it made their day! 💈
Adam thanks for stopping to visit all the places that people just don't have time to stop for now. Life is very busy today, but thanks to you in just a few minutes watching videos in the evening we can see the places we would never have time to visit.
These route 66 videos are great ! I love the weird stuff you find along the way ! I do not miss the daily Disneyland videos at all ! You make me feel as though I am with you on your adventures !
feels good to be out and bout
I have been binge watching for days!
Lisa McDonald n
Lisa McDonald same
thank you thank you thank you. I've been home sick and depressed for a long time. you put a smile on my face watching you drive through Oklahoma.
I grew up in a small town you made my day thank you for what you do.
I really enjoy Adam the woo van trips. As a young boy I told my kindergarten class when I grow up I want to live in a van. Never did it but I would like to think I would have as much fun learning about history as you do. Thanks for the Vlogs, these road Vlogs are my favorite!
cool stuff. I can see you are so happy on the road trip too
Love how there is like no traffic anywhere you going too . Not like L.A. .
Be Blessed Bro
That parking meter grave was so awesome! It must've broken poor Lucille's heart when the interstate came through. I loved woody Guthrie's gravestone, too, and all of the other unusual attractions you showed.
I forgot how much I love your road vlogs. Excellent! Glad you went back on the road.
Thank you for sharing your travels with us. I'M LOVING THEM!
I'd love to meet you Adam I live in Tulsa I watch. The daily woo everyday thank you for letting. Me live vicariously through you
Springfield Missouri is where route 66 was decided upon.
We have a lot of route 66 locations Like the restored Rail-Haven motel, a route 66 museum and our downtown square is route 66 ......Plus..... Wild Bill Hickok & Davis Tutt had the FIRST recorded shootout in the old west in july 21st 1865 on the square.
Springfield IS route 66.
When you were in Spokane you showed me the carousel, and while I am certain it has been re painted my Gradfather painted those horses when it first opened. I had not seen that in years. Thanks Adam for helping us all relieve memories.
You're journey is amazing. Was not aware of many of the history you have shown so far. Thanks!
gotta love Oklahoma, never a dull area in that state
Man you need a small pop up camper that would sure save you some money on the road or a mini travel trailer. Camp grounds have showers and full restrooms
So super cool of you tracking down that barber pole Adam. Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us.
Thank you Adam very much!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE what you do!!!!!!!!!!!
aww I loved the keurig and the hat grab, that really takes me back :)
He must've saw a sign that said "make yourself at home" - so he did? :)
Thanks for showing us these sights otherwise we would never be able to see.
no problem, I enjoy it
Adam the white buffalo lol
6:31 Lets see if you bastards can do 90!
I second that....it means more to me than he will probably ever know. As I am poor, and living paycheck to paycheck-I can't travel like I'd like to. Going along with Adam on his journeys is the next best thing!
+Annastasia What an excellent idea! I especially like the part about letting you take the time off. Most employers won't do that. Thanks for the great tip!
I just discovered your videos the past few months and really enjoy them. Love old cemeteries and buildings, too. Safe travels. I'll keep watching.
You're doing awesome Adam! Thoroughly enjoying your travels. I love seeing old history and vintage things.
I'm sad you left California, but I think you made the right decision...these videos are awesome. not saying your California videos aren't cool, but these have a cooler feel to them. keep doing what you are doing Adam.
it was Elvis Presley...thank me by giving me a like...
Carmen Velasquez whats a like?
@Jacob Dean some singer guy from Memphis.
Thank you for covering a lot of places because I didn't get to stop at any of those awesome places. Thank you Adam!
That was very nice of you Adam to do that for the viewer. You probably made his day.
Adam, you gotta hit up Eskimo joe's in Stillwater! Also, it's very cool seeing you in my home state. I've been loving the vlogs lately.
RE: Drone in the convenience store parking lot.... It would have been far more awkward had you gone in to film this "abandoned" location and had the cashier pop out to ask if you needed any help. LOL!
It's your birthday today, 8-10-20. Just now enjoying your travels. That tombstone was great. Loving your travels.
Thank you so much for your travels and sharing your videos you do such a great job!!
Branson Missouri is like a Christian/Patriotic Las Vegas strip.
Bizarre but a must see to believe. Branson is where old 50's 60's rock bands retired & still perform.
I agree it's a cool place to visit mostly about country music. Been there a few times
Also there are some big abandoned castle looking buildings right near there
Don't they have some kind of Titanic exhibit there?
A Charles
Yes they do.
+A Charles (W) I went to it in 2012. It's amazing. Go see it.
Won't lie watching you pump under 2 gas kinda hurt. Im from LA :/
it felt beautiful I must admit
Yep!!
I just love these videos and seeing this view of the USA. Great work. Thankyou so much.
History is SO VERY important and I thank you for your respect for history and for others that you come in contact with!! This world could certainly use a lot more people like you brother!! Love the vids!! 👋👍
BTW, your cinematic transitions take longer to set up and edit but they're worth it. Drone footage has been amazing.
thank you its worth it in the long run. Thanks for the comment
Hey Adam! Are you going to be in Arkansas any time soon? We have some pretty cool attractions like a park dedicated to the Beatles!
that sounds awesome
Utah has a bar dedicated to the beatles. Beat that Arkansas. But Adam flew on past Utah, can't imagine why...... :/
Where's the bar in Utah? He probably passed it mainly because he's trying to make it to Indiana and that was a little out of his way, but as a Utahan I want the chance to see Adam too!
WHY would anyone want to go to UTARD ? OR PUTAH ? LOL...LOL...
BigHeartedMan65 Amazing winter sports, massive amounts of history, and a really awesome community for LGBT people is why anyone would
Love your vlogs. Thank you for taking us along to all of these interesting places.
Thanks Adam, glad to see you out in your element and out of that cage apartment ! Happy for you !
I love the American way of life, just my luck I was born British.=(
You are welcome to visit us any time :)
The way the world is going, we'll probably end up being one country again!
Why can't you drive around and take videos in your country?
Britian just left the EU, things are looking up.
There's not much to see in the UK as you think. If a building gets old over here they tear it down, plus there's not much open road like the US,it's all motorways over here.Plus the people aren't exactly friendly over here,if you start filming you're more likely to get beaten up for your camera.Don't let the media make you think that the UK is all tea and crumpets, all that went away about 30 years ago.Now it's all alcohol and drugs, not a nice place at all.=)
Great vlog adam, love learning the history of all these places!
Thanks Adam another wonderful day with you on the road .... Sharon
Thanks for the road trip, awesome day. Best wishes from Australia
I love learning history that just passed me by. Love your videos.
How cool it is to see middle American landscapes and history, we're so lucky to live in a beautiful country ! thanks for sharing the videos.

God bless, stay safe and continue doing what you're doing. PS: you've totally inspired me to try and go 60 days with only drinking water as a beverage!

Your Vlogs are fascinating, they just get better and better. I'm loving your road trip and the majestic aerial shots are the icing on the cake. You truly are a geography, history teacher and all round entertainer. Thanks Adam.
Hey Adam thanks for showing this stuff. I love watching your videos and all the old stuff. I wish I could do that. I'm a truck driver so I get to kinda see some of this stuff but it's hard to get a 18 wheeler in most places. So I just have to enjoy seeing them as I drive by. So thanks for the close ups. Lol. Take care and be safe out there.
I'm digging the vlogs even more, great road trip so far!
Adam, always enjoy your humor! love riding along with you on the open road,,,,good day to you... Sass
Thanks for sharing Adam!
I stumbled across your videos a few weeks ago, it's appreciated
I got a kick out of seeing the S&H green stamps advertisements. I had forgotten about them. All the memories of my mom and I sitting at the kitchen table gluing them into the booklets to get "free items". Seems like we always got either pillows or sheets. Have a safe and happy day.
Another great one Adam. Your vids seem so smooth and professional.
So much fun, and thank you for the history. Look forward to seeing these!
