Thank you for stopping in Hinton, OK! That was my grandpa Roy Taylor you were talking about. My grandparents and my dad are in the cometary there also but I haven't been back since my dad's funeral. my Granpa Roy is also in the fiddler's hall of fame in Oklahoma City. He used to Have jam sessions in the barber shop when business was slow . I was never allowed to go to work with him because girls weren't allowed in the barber shop or the pool hall but my brother always got to go.
Thanks for stopping in Hinton. I used to hang out in that Barbershop as a kid with my Grandpa. Eventually my grandfather moved to Oklahoma City where he opened another barbershop. I'm enjoying the journey.
I want a tour of (one of) Gibson's factories! Pure Americana, like the Corvette Museum and the Factory Tour. Even if the realities of a modern day union shop are also on display there :-(
Adam your so sweet. That was very thoughtful of you to show the baber pole. I'm sure your viewer who's grandfather made that is very happy ! Thanks for still have a huge heart.
Awesome video! So nice of you to take the time to find and show the barber shop pole crafted so long ago by a viewer's grandfather. And I'm a newspaper girl at heart, so I appreciate the interesting history in your travel vlogs! Safe journey! And keep having fun! 😊
Dude, you have no idea what watching this meant to me. In 1973 I packed up my bags and left Harrisburg, PA to start a new life in sunny Los Angeles. I drove Rte 66 knowing I was doing something that could never be done again in quite the same way as the Interstates were just being completed and Rte 66 would be a memory. I am so damn glad I took this road to California. Watching this video brought back such wonderful memories for me! I got tears in me eyes, dude. Thanks for making an old fart 70 year old dude remember a wonderful time in his life. 😂😂
Adam, I can't wait to see your vlogs in the morning!!! I'm in the van with you brother, you seriously keep us entertained and amazed at what some will never get to see in this beautiful country of ours...keep up the good vlogging and thank you again for making my day better already!!!
thank you thank you thank you. I've been home sick and depressed for a long time. you put a smile on my face watching you drive through Oklahoma. I grew up in a small town you made my day thank you for what you do.
I really enjoy Adam the woo van trips. As a young boy I told my kindergarten class when I grow up I want to live in a van. Never did it but I would like to think I would have as much fun learning about history as you do. Thanks for the Vlogs, these road Vlogs are my favorite!
These route 66 videos are great ! I love the weird stuff you find along the way ! I do not miss the daily Disneyland videos at all ! You make me feel as though I am with you on your adventures !
Adam thanks for stopping to visit all the places that people just don't have time to stop for now. Life is very busy today, but thanks to you in just a few minutes watching videos in the evening we can see the places we would never have time to visit.
Springfield Missouri is where route 66 was decided upon. We have a lot of route 66 locations Like the restored Rail-Haven motel, a route 66 museum and our downtown square is route 66 ......Plus..... Wild Bill Hickok & Davis Tutt had the FIRST recorded shootout in the old west in july 21st 1865 on the square. Springfield IS route 66.
That parking meter grave was so awesome! It must've broken poor Lucille's heart when the interstate came through. I loved woody Guthrie's gravestone, too, and all of the other unusual attractions you showed.
When you were in Spokane you showed me the carousel, and while I am certain it has been re painted my Gradfather painted those horses when it first opened. I had not seen that in years. Thanks Adam for helping us all relieve memories.
Man you need a small pop up camper that would sure save you some money on the road or a mini travel trailer. Camp grounds have showers and full restrooms
History is SO VERY important and I thank you for your respect for history and for others that you come in contact with!! This world could certainly use a lot more people like you brother!! Love the vids!! 👋👍
I'm sad you left California, but I think you made the right decision...these videos are awesome. not saying your California videos aren't cool, but these have a cooler feel to them. keep doing what you are doing Adam.
You rock brother. Stopping by to see that barber pole was very cool of you. Riding around with big the foot and seeing all that cool stuff makes me jealous! Keep up the good work bro!
RE: Drone in the convenience store parking lot.... It would have been far more awkward had you gone in to film this "abandoned" location and had the cashier pop out to ask if you needed any help. LOL!
ADAM!! I just love you! So happy to see you back out on the road again. When you make your way back to the Panhandle (Navarre Beach), I have a warm bed and a home cooked meal for ya! Safe travels!!
Branson Missouri is like a Christian/Patriotic Las Vegas strip. Bizarre but a must see to believe. Branson is where old 50's 60's rock bands retired & still perform.
Since you started your road trip from Cali,I've watched every episode the day it's uploaded, totally awesome and has become a highlight of my day every day! THE DAILY WOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Your videos have been a daily tradition for my wife and I for years. So happy that you're back on the road, LOVE the edited road trip vlogs so far!!! God bless, stay safe and continue doing what you're doing. PS: you've totally inspired me to try and go 60 days with only drinking water as a beverage!
Where's the bar in Utah? He probably passed it mainly because he's trying to make it to Indiana and that was a little out of his way, but as a Utahan I want the chance to see Adam too!
There's not much to see in the UK as you think. If a building gets old over here they tear it down, plus there's not much open road like the US,it's all motorways over here.Plus the people aren't exactly friendly over here,if you start filming you're more likely to get beaten up for your camera.Don't let the media make you think that the UK is all tea and crumpets, all that went away about 30 years ago.Now it's all alcohol and drugs, not a nice place at all.=)
Well done as always, Adam. Thanks especially for showing us the remains of Woody Guthrie's homestead, and getting off the beaten path. I start each day with your vlog, and am most appreciative for the smiles and perspective each one brings to those of us who are unable to travel so extensively to the hidden corners of America. Your calling is a high one.
I'm from Southern California. But I live in Northeast Oklahoma. I've travelled that route many times. But we never stopped at those places. I really enjoyed this vlog.
Adam I hope your evening is going well. I enjoy your vblog in the morning but thought "hey the WOO needs some chatting and comments in the evening" so I hope your evening is well and look forward to the morning! Be safe on your travels and thank you so very much!!

Good video Adam, I like how you are giving historic information on every place you visit. No matter how minute it is the information is significant to someone.
I got a kick out of seeing the S&H green stamps advertisements. I had forgotten about them. All the memories of my mom and I sitting at the kitchen table gluing them into the booklets to get "free items". Seems like we always got either pillows or sheets. Have a safe and happy day.
FYI See the pavement the way it looks "stitched" together? The cement concrete panels start to all tilt due to the heavy truck traffic. So they grout in steel bars to keep them level. Retired Wa. State DOT ( WSDOT) Engineer.

I'm also a kindergarten teacher, and I love my summer's off, because I use them to overdose on your videos. Thanks for following your dreams, and sharing them with the world.

Ya some pumps Adam have that as a slow drip as a safty measure. It's also used to help fill tanks when the pump accidently pops to early. Very interesting thing about that.

Branson Missouri is like a Christian/Patriotic Las Vegas strip.
Bizarre but a must see to believe. Branson is where old 50's 60's rock bands retired & still perform.
