I appreciate your business!
This is a very very cool watch.. So unique and attractive.. By making magnifying a circle instead of cyclops it looks soo much better.. The bracelet with black middle links matching rubber bezel and dial its soo nicely coordinated
It is a watch that, when worn on the wrist, holds many surprises. From quality to wearability. When I put it on my wrist I said to myself "this is my watch".
Many do not know that the steel of this Muhle was worked with the Kolsterising technique, which makes the metal 3 times more resistant to corrosion. It also makes the steel hypoallergenic and antimagnetic.
A unique watch with great build quality.
No I am not aware of this, mind share a bit more info on that please?
How about scratches?
I did some reading on this technique and it sounds like BS to me. Your corrosion resistance claim, for one, is ludicrous.
@@boatdetectivewhy is it BS??
@@Hialeah1925 People have tried to alter the performance of common austenitic stainless steels without changing the metallurgy for decades. The fact remains that the nickel content of the 300 series prevents the metal from being hardened. Corrosion resistance absolutely is determined by physical alloying elements. It seems that this process appears to physically impact the surface of the finished part to prevent the initiation sites for corrosion. If this really works, it would be written up and would see widespread commercial adoption. Keep in mind that there is a long history of "magic" post production treatments that promise dramatic results.
Really unique - lots of appeal for me - thx Teddy - keep 'em coming!
Other companies: look, our watch can do 300 meters and only needs to be 16mm thick to do so!
Them: Well, a Kilometer is no problem. 13 and a half mm. Deal with it.
Awesome, thorough and articulate review of a watch that at first glance is reminiscent of the vintage Zodiac Sea Wolf diver that I am a big fan of. The large triangular quarter hour markers with big triangular lume plots reminds me of the Zodiac and I plan to look further into this watch. As a fan of SINN and and owner of the 103 SA B Specìal edition and many PANERAI watches as well as the Rolex James Cameron, this watch reminds me of that level of build quality and bomb-proof engineering. Excellent review, keep it coming.
I wasn’t aware of this channel I’ve been missing out
Wow! This is a striking watch that looks like it can handle anything.
I have mine on the rubber strap and I’ve never had a problem with it it’s a fantastic watch and I wish more companies will put the date site glass underneath it’s a much cleaner look
I just ordered one today. Thanks Teddy for letting me know when it came in. You’re the best
Hope you enjoy it!
What great military piece, love it, the design is very impressive, very unique 👍🏼👍🏼yeah you right this piece is not for everybody in my humble opinion, great job reviewing this magnificent piece...
Bought mine on a bracelet in Munich this summer. It is my new workhorse.
Beautiful tool watch. I have two watches ( B & R and Fortis) where I had to cut the rubber bracelet. Nice for a bespoke fit but not for resale because of that reason. You can go down in size but NEVER UP in a drastic way on the rubber.
Great video and a really interesting watch. Thanks, I really enjoy your channels and appreciate all the content.
A very nice watch, wish it had a rotating dive bezel though. And Sellita really need to do something about their inadequate and obsolete 38 hour power-reserve.
The rubber strap looked nice 👍
I loved it instantly. I've been pining after the new Fortis Fliegers since the F-43 was released in August, but the second I saw this watch, I knew that this is the one I was going to put my money toward. Thanks, Teddy...you've annoyed me in the past, but you've started growing on me. You're a spunky young whipper snapper.
I have the 30th anniversary edition in blue. I love it. This is my second SAR. I have about 50 high watches and this is one of my favorites.
Simple looking but bold statement watch. I love mine in white.
Keep doing what you're doing man! It's unbelievable you have less than 10k subs
Close to a million now 😆
That thing looks amazing. The case shape is great, especially the way it shrouds the crown. I dig it. Now I just gotta find that coin.
Outstanding Watch
Great review. Striking design
They've been making that one for some time...would have one myself if they shrank it, at least 4mm!
very well put together watch. excellent
Thanks for watching, Jorge.
If I was into diving it would be a must have , but I just do deep sea dive so a dive watch of that magnitude is of no need especially with that Rubber bezel. I is nice for what its made and design 4
Peace
very interesting option
Great watch. Have bought three
Excellent review. I'm curious exactly what they do the the SW200 to modify it.....?
I loved it the moment I saw it.
Super video Teddy. Really like the look of this piece. Could I ask what are its likely service requirements ( and their likely costs) assuming regular but fairly unexceptional wear ( ie not as part of some SAR organisation!!)? I am concerned because of the movement modifications which might render it a problem for servicing elsewhere than with Muehle themselves?
It's a really nice watch and very durable but.. I wish Mühle had made 2 improvements. I'd like a push button clasp on the metal bracelet and some improvement to the power reserve of the Selitta. They do an extensive mod of that movement and it's stuck with its 38 hour reserve which isn't great for an automatic watch in 2022. It's good value for money though. You can feel the quality of the build when you put it on.
@Eddie Jones - I can't add any more to your comment other than I second that motion of this being in everybody's roster.
@Teddy Baldassarre - Thanks for sharing this great timepiece.
Hey Teddy can you review all the new Seiko Alpinists including the European Edition (Beautiful Dial)? :)
Beautiful!
Great video, I like the watch, different
Can you add a video on thoughts on Favre leuba.
That will be appreciated 🤗
I really want this watch!
I have one of these, and while it takes a little getting used to, it is an absolute beast which is surprisingly comfortable. Get it on the bracelet would be my suggestion. It wears a little heavy, but you know instantly when you put it on that it is all business.
Very Nice I love it
Yup, this is the watch you take with you when the apocolypse hits
Haha so true
It’s a beast. I’m still taking my tuna tho lol
@@remycris2108 nothing wrong with that!
I think the case size should be 43mm considering the kind of watch it is. What is your opinion? I just bought one from Maryland I will receive it next week.
I have a suggestion. At the end of your watch reviews, I think it would be nice for you to rate a watch out of 5 or 10 for value for money. It isn't a secret some of us who know less about watches and more about collecting, are inspired by your videos.
How the hell do you only have 3k subs!! Keep going, greetings from belgium
His main channel has 200k+ subs. Well deserved I should note!
This is just his online store watch review site. Check his other one out as well!
Thanks for the assists gentlemen and for the support!

Just picked up this tool a few weeks ago from Teddys online store- thoroughly enjoying it. I’m curious though- just what TYPE or category does this piece fall under? A cursory review had me initially thinking “diver”, but there’s no bezel and yet it “seems” to hit the mark with all the other dive watch prerequisites. Meh, love it all the same.
I bought this a few months back- really cool experience on the wrist. It’s a bit heavy, but balances nice due to the case shape.
When Muhle first tested this watch for dive depth, the watch was able to withstand pressure at 2400 m, at which point the steel case-back caved in… the 4mm sapphire crystal didn’t break, nor did the watch take on any water 💯
Do you have the link for this test ?
Looks cool. Is it a diver, is it a pilot, or is it a field watch? Everything in one. Be better if it was 37-40mm.
Definitely a diver given its use and that water resistance.
That’s definitely no Pilots Watch. It is what it is, designed for SAR.
@@TeddyBaldassarreReviews Definitely not a diver given no rotating bezel with minute markers.
Yes, 37-40 mm would be great...if I want a piece of jewelry instead of a tool watch I can actually read.
Wow . . .
I wonder if this is the German company Muhle, famous in the wet shaving community for selling double edge razors, shaving brushes, shaving soaps and related shaving paraphernalia.
2 different companys.
@@lskovly Thanks.
Would love to see Seiko spb143j1 review please
Fantastic video
I had one in for loan but actually didn't get video footage because others reviewed it online. I can maybe get it again in the future.
@@TeddyBaldassarreReviews that would be an excellent review if you could get one in the future. Also what are your thoughts on Nth (specifically the nacken) I know You've mentioned then in your blog but not in a list video. One last question I've got a budget of around 1000 to 1200 usd would you recommend the Mido os tribute or seiko spb143j1? Thank you
I've been looking at straps at your store but a couldn't buy because there's no credit card service. Saw some great straps for vintage watches?
Hi Enrique, we accept all forms of credit cards and Paypal at checkout. if you are having issues feel free to contact team@teddybaldassarre.com or message us on live chat during our business hours.
GLASS-HO-TA
This tough watch is missing a dive bezel imo
R E M A R K A B L E ! ! !
That’s a really interesting looking watch hahahah
if the bracelet had the push-button clasp I would buy this watch ...
That’s a sexy watch !
I have a smaller 6.5 in wrist. How do you think it would wear? Too large?
I ll let u know when I have one, my wrist is somewhere along 6.5- 6.75
The problem with these automatic timepieces, especially the ones with their modified movements is the after purchase cost to keep them running in top form. A full service "which has to be done every three to five years" by a certified watchmaker can run into the hundreds.
The problem is that you have to send it back to muhle Germany for any service
@@amrashraf9559 no problem; just drive there, say hello and give your watch to them. (Except you are not living in Germany of course, lol)
@@Hans-Georg_Buddne not living in germany
@@amrashraf9559 I know ;) I just wanted to point out how comfortable it is to buy watches from your own country. Its much easier to contact the manufacturer if you have any issue with your watch.
@@Hans-Georg_Buddne the problem is that muehle is not sold in my country..even sinn watches are not sold in my country so i have to buy direct from germany ..
Me: I have a dive certified watch with 300m of water resistance.
Muhle: This isn't a dive watch and has 1000m of water resistance. Hold my beer.
Teddy does the rubber bezel tear or no?
I've had my SAR for over a year, wear it whenever I do something physical (say, camping, skiing, that sort of thing...), and there's not even a mark on the rubber bezel. You'd probably rip your hand off before the bezel tore.
I'm waching this watch again and again but for my 6.5 inch wrist it's big!if it is smaller maybe 38 mm e lug to lug 45...
Same issue I am having. I love the watch but I'm afraid it might be too large.
Nah, I believe you ll be alright
this shit is awesome
Can we get to see some of the Patent drawings in future reviews. Patents are public domain documents and shouldn’t be a problem to show us. I think it would be fun to see them.
Don't understand one thing. As per all watch expert you should not change the date between 9 to 3 to avoid any damage to the date wheel. But I found not only you but many watch UA-camrs changing date within that time frame. You did it at 10:00. So are these Sellita movements are capable to handle date change at any time??
You are a very observant...🦅👀
I've done it myself on my channel once. Accidents happen!
@@simonthewatchguy6073 Accident happens but you should take care and remember that many people are watching and they are learning a mistake.
You shouldn’t change the date between 9pm and 3am, if it’s between 9am and 3pm then the date changing mechanism won’t have engaged and thus it’s safe to do.
@@Chris-oz9qx in an analogue watch how do you know if it is AM or PM unless you cross 12 o'clock and make sure the date does not change? Well watches with AM PM indicators are exceptional in this case.
I enjoyed your UA-cam broadcast. Thank you for the good video. According to your data, this watch lug to lug size is 47mm.By the way, according to some data, this watch lug to lug size is 49mm. Which data is correct?
I absolutely love everything about this watch. But, every time I see it, I think one thing....Titanium.
@Eddie Jones it's deffo not light
This is king shit of fuck mountain for tool watches. Bad ass. I have to have one.
#getyourdatestraight I've got one thing to say to manufacturers who place the date between 3 and 6 o'clock: take a lesson from Bell&Ross on how to do it.
Looks like an homage of the original seiko alpinist
Triangle indices at the 12, 3, 6, 9 are too big. 2.5k? Then again what do I know.
It was designed for the German Military. They put legibility over fashion for the design. This is actually worn by real military people. You can get specs for cheaper but the cheaper watch won't be as tough.
Buy a Vostok
:)
Its expensive lots of other watches in that price range could be had.
Looks like an Explorer on steroids!
This make the Explorer looks like a Casio, the Casio is a tougher watch:))
Needs a rotatable bezel
Who actually uses a rotating bezel?!? Divers stopped using them some time ago.
I actually like this bezel, I suppose sar don’t really dive, and so didn’t request one.
@@ricchrono5907 if they don't dive why is it water proof to 1000m?
@@almac9203 dont know, if they do dive then may be this isnt the tool they use to time the diving time lol
@@ricchrono5907 I don't think it is a trivial matter to give this watch an ability to dive 1000m. Most professional diving watches are only waterproof to 300m so they obviously gave it such specs for a reason. It is true that most professional divers use a dive computer to assist their dives but it would be useful to have a analog backup kinda like how the NASA astronauts had the Omega Speedmaster handy when their instruments failed. A rotating bezel would be a cool addition to the watch.
The first time I looked at this watch, I liked it. Then after staring at it for a while, it appears to have way too many competing things going on. Each individual element is really nice by itself (too many leading actors and not enough supporting cast). Just an opinion.
That's niche.
If you divide 28,800 vph by 3600 seconds per hour you get 8 beats per second
Not going to spend that much money on a desk diver. Water resistant /= waterproof. Read the ISO rules. It is all a sham to avoid wsrranty repairs. Too many waterproof watches in that price range.
It is made for sea rescue professionals. It is properly waterproof.
@@MrDagon007 For the price it damned better well be actually waterproof. But as I said, this ISO language flim flam needs to be put to the sword. Even the water resistance ratings do not mean what they clearly say on them. It is offensive to every watch loving person that watch makes can, if they wish, hide behind false statements.
@@paulstanley8088 well, it might not be iso certified, but I guess this digs deeper on the field tests. And with that being said, it’s welcoming sight that unlike most watches, 100 bar is printed instead of 1000m. As the way it’s tested, was to put through pressure, thus 100bar which is more true to what it can withstand.
Nice looking but at that price point there’s a lot of competition. I’d sooner buy a Sumo AND Capt Willard for the same price.
Haha. It's cute. More like a $899 watch. "Highly modified SW"...for the guy who has a highly modified Nissan Altima. Give me a break.
No it is really highly modified, it jas a unique regulator piece which improves shock resistance on top of the incabloc already in the sellita.
@@MrDagon007 improves shock resistance and accuracy. A watch can't claim the Glashutte designation without having a certain % of it made in Germany.. So they have to modify the movement.
Exceptional clasps? Come on Teddy, are you going commercial? If so, I don't agree, but understand your comment. If not...., well, then you might just be mistaken.
So affordable hahaha
Overpriced
German engineering is EXACTLY the opposite of what you're saying. Maybe the rather kitsch design is german, that's why some may like this. Personally i just find the whole dial interesting, rest is a mix and NOT match. I realise that this is gonna be a left over but this review/selling thing is way off! Good luck selling them LOL
I think there are certainly different approaches under German engineering so sorry if I came off too general. This is certainly not a watch for everyone. Thanks for watching, buddy!
i dont like that ugly rolex like magnifying date window. this watch reminds me of my zodiac super sea wolf 53
No way would I pay $2500 for that. I'd go with a Lum-Tec and save $1500.
Eww looks like an Oris
