I was just searching for ideas on changing up my older terra cotta planters. They're quite big and being outside in the elements all these years they've begun to deteriorate. So, I ended up using stucco in a Buff color, applying it quite thick with an old thick stubbly paint brush, and allowing some of the old terra cotta to show through in parts. They came out really good, and my Hubby, who is a contractor said, stucco will last way longer outside than chalk paint or joint compound. You should try it, especially on bigger planters, it comes out fabulous. You can also paint the stucco in any color, after it has dried to give it more contrast if you like. I really enjoy your videos, you're very creative and it's fun to watch them!
Loved watching this video, your frontyard looks so cute, I love how you decorated it with all those plants, and the DIY idea was super easy & nice! I'll definitely try it out as I need to decorate my backyard, but now in Italy we're heading into really bad and cold weather so not many plants can thrive from being outside, in fact I have to move a lot of them inside the apartment. But next spring I'm really looking forward to bringing some more plants into my backyard (and some cute DIY pots!) xoxo
