I think the thing I love most about you jami, is that you make things look as easy as they are. You don't over think it. Just get the paint on and stick the flowers in and it looks natural. Love these. I'll be doing this 4 sure♡
Glad I came across this. Husband's rescue dog wreaked havoc on my front porch this summer. Tore up all my plants and pots. This is going to come in handy.
Very pretty😊 You make everything you do look so easy, now if I tried that it would look like a hot mess! Love all your videos, and look forward to the next😊
❤️❤️❤️ Cute Project and I love the flowers. Micheals has a really nice selection this year, I’ve bought most of spring flowers this year at Micheals, and I love the little bunny with your set up.
My 1st time watching this. The effect is very malleable. The colors are terrific in contrast. Very pretty without the 'cutesy' of most seasonal decoration.
I buy spray foam insulation from home depot for about 5$ and I can fill lots of pots with it. I fill the pots up about half way and it grows to fill the pot. You don't have all the crumbs from foam and it doesn't fall out.
You can stipple really well with a crumpled up plastic bag. I use paint store samples like u can get at Jerry's or Lowes. No need to seal, even tho latex is water based. These pots came out terrific.
Haha! it doesn't ever end, I just rotate and keep the stuff I think I can't live without and sell the stuff I'm clearing out on facebook yardsale pages.
What size are the paints you were using? Are they the sample sizes? I just need to get an idea for ordering from your site for colors I won’t use a ton of...thank you! Love how these turned out💕
+Melissa Carr I used a quart in the white swan but only because it’s what was open. A sample size of each will be more than enough and you will have left overs for future projects :)
random orbital sanders create a random circular pattern when sanding, we find them to be more efficient and have less squiggles than a traditional palm sander.
Be sure to seal the INSIDE of the pot. Then the water won’t seep through and peel off the paint. Make sure there is adequate drainage and place a layer of pebbles in the bottom so that any undrained water sits in the pebbles away from the roots of your plants. 👍🏼😉
If I wanted to put real plants in these pots, would the paint hold up after sealing? I’ve tried this with other paints and the paint bubbled on the outside and looks diseased. Lol

Aww, you’re so sweet!
Jami-I always add a little clear wax in with my black wax, it moves a little easier:)
Very nice because you sealed them can you put them outside maybe?

Great tip!
peggy 64 I was telling Zeb I wanted to try this but he said it takes 24 hours to set up. But I pretty much think it’s a genius idea 💡
you can paint something else while it dries or just take a break. LOL!!!
Lol. What is a break?
Those look awesome Jami!!!! Is there anything you can't do???? xoxo ❤👍🏻
What do you recommend for sealing the terra cotta pot for use with live plants that are outdoors?
We recently found an outdoor sealer that’s seems to be working well. It’s kilz Klear water based indoor/outdoor sealer.
I looked around a little for that brush you're using. The couple I found didn't look all that great. So going to order them from ya :)

GORGEOUS......
Thank you!
😍
I love these! Does it ever end?? 😂😂😂 I need a bigger house!

Love the arrangements! Where did you get the bunny?
I got the bunny from Target last spring.
Love these 🤗💕

What is the difference between an orbital sander and a regular small hand sander??
random orbital sanders create a random circular pattern when sanding, we find them to be more efficient and have less squiggles than a traditional palm sander.
Crazy question but can you use this technique on pots for real plants? Or would the moisture mess it up? I'm thinking yes but want to confirm :)
Tammy Luke you sure can! The paint is activated by water so if you want to retain the look be sure to seal them well. 👍
Be sure to seal the INSIDE of the pot. Then the water won’t seep through and peel off the paint. Make sure there is adequate drainage and place a layer of pebbles in the bottom so that any undrained water sits in the pebbles away from the roots of your plants. 👍🏼😉
I went to my target store today and they didn’t have ANY Easter stuff out yet. I am so heartbroken.
Oh no!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍😍😍
What kind of paint brush are those cuz I'm been looking for those and I cannot find them
These are my favorite brushes. The hold a ton of paint but can also be used for dry brushing.

If I wanted to put real plants in these pots, would the paint hold up after sealing? I’ve tried this with other paints and the paint bubbled on the outside and looks diseased. Lol
Yes, maybe do an extra coat or two of sealer and let them cure for a week or two before introducing water so the sealer can get nice and hard.

Not looking to paint a pot white!
Would rather have calcium deposit/scale and a bit of moss with most of the terra cotta showing.
Can they get wet? Would love to put real plants in them ...?
They can if you seal them. If you plan on getting them really wet I would do 3-4 coats of sealer.
