I agree and I don't mean Robert Plant any disrespect in the slightest but if you watch this whole show, all the guests did Queen songs that sounded like their own style. Crazy Little Thing could have been a Honey Drippers song if we are honest so it was a perfect choice for him to sing it. I thought it was amazing that Robert was singing like his own song. And it is impressive that Brian is playing the guitar with a very satisfied expression.
@@alanahclaire6494 I clearly hear both Roger and Brian, brian' voice was softer but I have listened to brian screaming in several songs, listen to brian singing tie your mother down in this same concert and you will see.
It's gonna be very difficult to see something like this again, I doubt it too much.. this was incredible and perfect, I'm really sure the Freddie tribute in 1992, maybe was one of the most important event all times, just talking about a massive rock concert.
Yes it was. The George Harrison tribute concert was pretty special to if you haven't seen it, I can recommend it. Can't understand why something on this scale couldn't have been done for Bowie.
Never have I seen better audience than there.... Wish I could be there. Wish even more that this never happened but Freddie was a 73-year rocking mustached queen destroying stadiums nowadays. Aaaah, dreams....
Yanslee Freddie would probably be bald with an eyebrow ring today 😂. He was starting to lose his hair in the mid 80’s. You could see a bald spot forming on the top of his head during live aid.
John Deacon is still very close with his ex- band mates. He is savvy with finances and is in charge of the bands accounting. Queen were ripped off in the past and they only trust Mr. Deacon now.
Queen and Led Zeppelin are so similar in a way. Both legendary bands who's songs are as relevant today as when they were released. Bands that consisted of four extremely talented individuals, who lost an irreplaceable member and that ended the band. In fact, the four of both bands were so connected musically and even as friends (in Queen), that any other member wouldn't have done it. It was either those four or the band was over. Also in both bands their bassists were underappreciated, yet contributed as much as the rest three. Robert Plant singing live with Queen was something very special. It wasn't just another frontman star singing with them. Something happened, there was a strong chemistry there. Amazing rendition, loved it!
With all due respect, i know Robert beats him at singing, but I think as a frontman I would put Mick Jagger up against anyone. Also (in his prime) Roger Daltrey.
I think he'd have been absolutely proud of all of them, especially his bandmates. I can't imagine how hard this was to pull off...their biggest performance since losing him.
Always loved the way Robert sings on stage. He always takes his signature pose, maybe raise his hands a little. But always, ALWAYS, he feels the song to the maximum and gives his best. What a singer and frontman he is and Freddie was!
I agree there's no point in comparisons, however shining in a cover doesn't mean you are taking credit from the original singer, that's actually the best way to play tribute, just like George Michael did with Somebody to love.

He always looked uncomfortable on stages.
@@ayhamshaheed7740 he left the band years ago
3:36 everyone saying ready Freddie gave me goosebumps
Both Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury loved Elvis the original Rock 'N'Roll Superstar!!
the fact that they sang ”ready freddie” three times as loud as possible is so sweet but yet makes me sad
One of the most underrated bass players of all time.....John Deacon. We didn't realize that when Freddie left us, John would as well.
He's not dead just not currently in Queen - those 70s and 60s bands and even those 80s bands are all nearing the end of the road sadly, such is life I guess. They will never be topped.
@@montyrayza7220 he's not saying in that way...
John Deacon's Sad Face, Roger Taylor wearing the "Glasses" to hide his Tears and the Gloomy Shaking Guitar play by Brian May, showed the True Love they all had and "still have" for their Friend, Brother and the Greatest Front-Man - Freddie Mercury. Guess, that's ONE LOVE to be inspired with. Freddie - You are watching from above - "The Show (Must) Will Go On".
I also noticed that Brian's solo sounds so gloomy
FreakyPH It’s noticeable in the bohemian rhapsody solo. He has less gain and less sustain, and more chorus, and it sounds almost shaky.
Wasn’t even 5 months since Freddie’s passing. This whole event would have taken an extraordinary amount of effort to pull off. Meaning... the guys hadn’t even begun to grieve. This must have been so hard!!! x
Very well said sourabh suri
John’s sad smile at the beginning of so many songs makes my heart hurt.
Robert Plant doing Freddie Mercury ? I had my doubts , but he really nails it !!! A respectful tribute by one mega talent for another .
I knew as soon as I saw the video title, this would be good. This song was Freddie channeling Elvis. Plant did that on a track from Zep's last studio album, _In Through The Out Door._ Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/QOLTwt-bqoU/v-deo.html
I always loved Deaky so much. He's just casually walking up and down the stage, doing an amazing job while not giving a single fucking, ha.
lol...so true.
The bass is the foundation of this song defs.
It’s clear he misses Freddie!
That’s all bass players are good for
I agree generally speaking but he looks pretty distraught here
I really love that they started it with “Thank You”. That was a really beautiful intro!
Robert Plant: O legenda vie,te trec fiorii.O voce din alta galaxie.Numai Freddie l-a putut egală.Doi zei.❤
Damn I'm just thinking about how lucky the audience is to be present there. Hell of a concert.
Elton might have got Bohemian Rhapsody but Robert Plant was the biggest name they got. A true God of music.
David Bowie.
Show Stopper
Plants career was on the slide at this point
is it just me or this is history happened here?
Robert Plant singing Freddie Mercury.. my god.. teaaaaaars
I thought it was amazing that Robert was singing like his own song. And it is impressive that Brian is playing the guitar with a very satisfied expression.
I love that he sang the "Ready Freddie?" 3 times and I love even more Brian singing it from the top of his heart at 3:39
I think that was Roger because of the raspiness in his voice
@@alanahclaire6494 at 3:40 it was clearly Brian's voice.
Pia R but his voice is a lot softer
@@alanahclaire6494 I clearly hear both Roger and Brian, brian' voice was softer but I have listened to brian screaming in several songs, listen to brian singing tie your mother down in this same concert and you will see.
JAJAJAJAJA :V
Todos me hicieron pasar un buen rato xD
A legend honoring another legend. Respect!
It's gonna be very difficult to see something like this again, I doubt it too much.. this was incredible and perfect, I'm really sure the Freddie tribute in 1992, maybe was one of the most important event all times, just talking about a massive rock concert.
it was a great event... an I was there
Oh man really?, you're a lucky guy!, I congratulate to you a lot.
A compliment from a god to another. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Freddie is smiling down on the great Robert Plant. well done brotha.
john deacon the world misses you. come back
well john deacon was very shock by Freddy's dead and he said queen dies with freddy and he wouldn't play anymore
And he is right, roger & brian are earning money with freddie 's grave
I think that the show must go on :/
John Deacon is still very close with his ex- band mates. He is savvy with finances and is in charge of the bands accounting. Queen were ripped off in the past and they only trust Mr. Deacon now.
Gustavo....I imagine If Freddie could talk to the remaining Queen members he tell'em to play and make all the cash they can...why wouldn't he ??
Robert, I love you to the moon and back! You are absolutely stunning! A real genius with a lovely heart and soul ❤️
You know what would've been awesome if Jimmy Page would have came out and him and May just did a epic guitar solo
yeah he should've done the violin bow solo
Or just played Fred's rhythm part
Mia Moore We are not ready, we are not worthy. The world could have exploded. Add Mr. Lifeson and the whole Universe goes away
I love Brian May but Jimmy Page would absolutely steal the show with that solo.
I had the exact thing in my head

Yes, but unfortunalety he was stuck with john paul jones, john bonham and jimmy page
A unique rocker of the first order. Genius, absolutely genius. LOVE IT! A great tribute version.
i love that bass ❤️❤️ john deacon - bass legend
John Paul jones better
There's one in every crowd...it's not a competition and not betterPERIOD
Callum wood This is not a tribute to Led Zepplin. Stop comparing them to Queen. you scmuck.
John ❤❤❤❤
I Love you Robert Plant
Robert Plant. Greatest living frontman after Freddy died, performing for his fellow legend. It is so sweet.
Agreed Brotha Joshua
who's Freddy?
+Saulo León freddie mercury...
With all due respect, i know Robert beats him at singing, but I think as a frontman I would put Mick Jagger up against anyone. Also (in his prime) Roger Daltrey.
Mick who??? :p
I'm pretty sure Freddie's spirit was there, egging everybody on.
"Come on you lovelies, do me proud!"
Yes that's exactly how he would have said 😊
I think he'd have been absolutely proud of all of them, especially his bandmates.
I saw Queen,Zep,Floyd and Tull in 77...a very good year !!!
Robert is perfect for this song.
I love how Plant had his arms up in the air like Freddie would. Awesome 5:12
Robert was doing that move before Freddie
He was doing that long before Freddie. Freddie made it iconic.
This here is my FAVORITE Queen song!
I love Robert, I really do. He's a legend in his own kingdom.
But I'm sticking to my Freddie on this!🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Robert Plant respected the history of Freddie and Queen beeing himself: Robert Plant. And he showed how Rock and Roll is. Bravo Robert.
The two greatest bands of all time played together just blows your mind
Brian May said it all - "The incomparable Robert Plant"
He was the elite, VIP guest.
Terence Dempsey his voice is beautiful, both normal and his high pitch
Terence Dempsey Freddie fan who is unable to see the quality in anyone else’s voice. And also, did you watch the video??????

The star here is John, devastated by Freddies passing he retired soon after this performance. I hope he knows how much we loved him.

I believe that if Freddie saw this concert, he would have loved it. God Bless You Freddie, we still love you.
For me, it always will be one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking moments in rock-n-roll history. Robert did so well. Makes me cry every time.

Quit the comparison!! Plant is paying homage to Freddie Mercury. He's not trying to outdo a legacy Freddie left behind. Get a clue!!
I agree there's no point in comparisons, however shining in a cover doesn't mean you are taking credit from the original singer, that's actually the best way to play tribute, just like George Michael did with Somebody to love.

That's the only man who has the vocal prowess to sing like Freddie Mercury...and vice versa. The crowd's deafening response says it all. Salute to you Sir Robert Plant.👍🇬🇾
I can see how devastating Deaky was feeling. I think he got so emotional that he was facing towards Roger and completely opposite to the crowd probably to hide his tears that he was trying with his best to hide. Don't know for sure but I'm guessing how hard it must have been for them and especially for Deaky, since he was very close to Freddie, and this was his last live performance, which he did ONLY TO HONOR FREDDIE! Really sad :'(
Or maybe he was just turning around

For me this was the absolute best part of this concert. Queen thrives on a killer frontman and Robert Plant provides.

One of the best comment I've seen. Totally agree.
Queen would have intentionally wanted Robert Plant to do his signature style as this makes it a more mind-blowing crossover....and it was perfect.
I've been a fan of Queen for the better part of my life. If Robert Plant is willing to appear on stage with your band and perform, then you know you did something right.
