Thanks, helped out, thinking of buying a 1961 car from Canada and bringing it into USA
Glad I could help
Very informative video Jack. Your dad is articulate and competent, wise choice switching roles for the video. I'm most impressed with the family dynamic. You guys will be fun to watch. Just don't try to be something or someone you 're not.
that was all very informative, thank you! i`m excited to see what ya`ll do in the future. congrats on getting the car and starting your channel it awesome to see a young kid so into cars of this nature, i hope you make to the top! and if your ever in the east coast of mass getting a car or need a garage in your travels i will gladly open up my garage to ya`ll.
Thanks, man, I will keep that in mind. I live on the east coast
Very helpful - thank you - heading up this week to pickup so this helps alot .
Im glad this helped
Good info. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video. I’m going to Winnipeg next week through pembina to pick up a 67 Grand Prix
Thats awesome, I hope this helped
Thank you. I really appreciate the information.
Glad it was helpful!
Jack, thanks for the info. The reason you didn't pay customs for the car is that you pay only 2.5% for the car's value, but at the same time you're already exempted from paying the first $800 anyway.
Sounds like you crossed all your I’s and dotted all your t’s 😉for success, thanks for the tutorial!
Its funny, you jack-daddy, my dad was known as Daddy-Jack. Good info and I wish Lucky Jack all of the luck in the world!
Thanks man, I like the nickname for Dad
Thanks, this is very helpful. One ques. you mentioned your friend with the U-haul trailer helped you move the car. What if I plan to drive the same car that I’m importing?
Thank you for this video! I’m thinking of getting a 50’s Chevy from Canada and don’t know what to do. Tho the car was originally from the USA.
I hope that it goes well for you! I'm glad that you found this helpful!
Nice overview of the process, much appreciated. What is the equivalent of "title" in Canada? apparently they don't have "title" document in Canada as we know it in the US. Is this correct?
Very interesting. Leave it to the government to complicate taking something you own from one place to the other. EPA point was interesting. I guess they have notified all those Canadian invasive species that they are not allowed below the border.
Gotta be a BBC car. These cars with a small block look like "Honey I shrunk the engine!" And you need the torque to move that thing. Great video!!!
Dont you worry, I have something special for it
Hope its not a LS twin turbo......NA, BBC is where it's at now @@lucky_jack_racing
Legend
Where at in North Carolina
Not that I’ll ever do this, but this is great information.. I can’t wait to see e we hat Jack does with this bad Biscayne.. also gotta say Jacks Dad, your wife is smoking hot 😎
Stay tuned, new videos soon
I have a loan on the vehicle. Will I be able to import it into the US, state register it and continue paying my EMIs back in Canada or will I need to transfer the loan over here and than able to do it. or it is not possible at all without paying off a loan ?
Please help.
Very clear and informative video. Is the garage always this clean and organized or was it prepped for the video.
A little more complex to bring into Canada. Was simpler a number of years ago but have made it so you require a broker now. Looking forward to Jackson working on the car 👍
No, it was prepped for the video
Does it have to be 25 years older? What if it was a model that’s available in the us but you want to buy in Canada since it’s cheaper ? (2011)
It has to be pre-1966 for this video to be relevant, if it is not, then the car needs to be a roller or have all of its factory emissions on it.
What can you suggest for bringing 1986 russian car?
Im not sure, never looked into it
Question. At the beginning you stated have your owner ship Docs. The car is titled in the old owners name, are you saying to get it titled in my name in Canada before going to the boarder crossing ?
Lucky Jack’s dad here… you just need the ownership documents in your name. That may vary from province to province, but in Manitoba, the vehicle registration IS the title (ownership document). There is generally a section for transfer of ownership where the current owner signs it over to you. That document signed over to you, and a bill of sale should be sufficient to prove to customs that you own the vehicle.
@@Lucky_Jacks_Dad OK great, that makes more sense. I thought I had to send off for a new title while I waited in Canada. LOL Being that it's over 25 years old do you know what boxes I should check on the form HS-7 and 3520-1? It's a 1994 GM all original with only 20K miles on it, even the tires! That will be my first stop after crossing back into the US. The Emission and DOT door stickers are intact
Brett, unfortunately I don’t know the details of importing something that is covered under the Clean Air Act, and federal safety standards. The 1966 we imported was exempt from both. I don’t think the process is much different, but I have not done the research on it to know the specifics.
Good info, and your bench is way too clean lol...
Haha, you should see the left side that is out of frame
Just as a head's up, the EPA link appears to be broken.
Dang, it was working earlier.
There's a usda form lol
I can't believe that you can't have any Canadian dirt inder the car, jeeze leave it to the US government to come up with that crazy stuff!
I know right
And who wants to get a rust bucket canada car?
Leave our beautiful old cars alone.. we gave you Justin Beiber. That's it!😂
You can have him back, we will trade him for the cars and Nickelback
What does that suppose to mean, that thing is a boat I wouldn't call it a classic
What if the vehicle doesn't run
doesnt matter
