Nice overview of the process, much appreciated. What is the equivalent of "title" in Canada? apparently they don't have "title" document in Canada as we know it in the US. Is this correct?

I have a loan on the vehicle. Will I be able to import it into the US, state register it and continue paying my EMIs back in Canada or will I need to transfer the loan over here and than able to do it. or it is not possible at all without paying off a loan ? Please help.

GM had a spacer between carb and air cleaner on many of their v8 trucks. It'll fix your issue. You're young and learning. Best of luck.

Dan doesnt use air cleaner, you could go without also.

That car was built by DDSPEEDSHOP in Alberta Canada by Dan a couple of years ago it was a four door 6 cyl. which he made into a 2dr 454 cuin car.

Great job! Just stick with it. Every small detail of working on a hotrod is a learning experience so this isn’t learned in a week. A lot of the work you do on this car and the tools you use are universal to other makes and models of cars so the extra time spent learning to do each task correctly is a worthy investment in your craft.

Moma done a fine job with trying to get the mirror on the car, they can be a pain especially if they're not OEM Parts..I have mirrors and all kinds of 66 Chevy Impala Biscayne Belair Parts laying around somewhere..I have SS hubcaps and I gotta compliment mama as well. Beautiful woman and I love it cause she doesn't mind helping. Good luck with everything and that's my favorite car on the planet and I've had several of em but I got em to late in life cause the bar's from the rearend to the frame rusted completely away from the frame, it's nothing unusual for GM car's although that car looks solid and that big block belongs under that hood ❤❤

I love that big block in there. It’s fairly easy to put in power steering and disc brakes.

You all just go on over to the wreckers and get a spacer from a TBI 1988- up to 95 V6 S10 / Jimmy or a V6 - V8 ,C10 / Sierra and a couple gaskets , sort out your breather hose and you are done ..... minor issues.... should clean that base too Your Mom is a Hot Rodders dream girl , she gets into it and that is awesome , I did find some logic painful to watch here , If I was your father , you would get the keys to an 80 HP 4 cylinder to beat up on for awhile , Get a young driver the keys to a Big Block without adequate skills and a car with 55+ year old handling technology , a recipe for disaster. get a safety kill switch in case you have an engine mount fail , throttle stick open etc . This car was just fine as a 4 door , lots of full size base cars were big block sleepers , Former police interceptors, unmarked police cars ..... ??? However , it is what it is now , I would focus on safety etc It is all a learning process , getting frustrated over nothing with the air cleaner will move you farther from your goals. That plastic spacer still wrong , Those factory TBI spacers allow for a Quadrajet style breather to be used ,There is a few different heights of spacers I would guess you need 1 - 2 " or so , Then you run a hose to the front of the car for cooler air . Those spacers have the proper size hose fitting that get you a cleaner connection to the valve cover ( use a 45' fitting on cover ) Your engine will lose HP with a wide open air cleaner breathing underhood air, especially with a huge Big Block running in there. use a factory TBI base , and a single hole cover , run the hose up to the front and you are set. Start thinking outside the box , exercise some ingenuity .... Enjoy your treasure !!!!!

Jack change out the tank and BLOW the gas lines out before installing your other carb you said your exchanging out .. I will keep watching you just take your time NO RUSH ...
