Man I fuckin loved this boss... Died like a million times because I neglected any defensive equipment and straight up gave mario the one hit K.O. equipment. MAN I wish this game had a boss refight area like previous games because the fights are so good actually
I legitimately had no idea moving PIpegunk to the opposite area right away would stun it. I always moved it to the normal area since I remembered its Def being weakest there... This fight took a very very long time lmao.
If you want my opinion, I've been thoroughly enjoying this game since I got it on release. It starts off slow and gradually gets better. I won't deny that there are parts where I felt that the length is artificially padded out but it doesn't take away my overall enjoyment of the game. If I compare the game's pacing to Paper Jam's pacing, then the latter game is much better. Paper Jam gives you more tools at the start much, much faster than Brothership. The one major nitpick I have is with Luigi. Specifically, during battles. In all past Mario & Luigi games, Luigi is thoroughly controlled with the B button in battles, whether it is getting an item, selecting a menu option etc. But in this game, they decided to have both Bros. use the A button for selecting an option and if that Bro attacks, then it'll switch to the corresponding button. It throws off years of muscle memory and I have not seen a single reason throughout the game for why they made this change. Despite that, the battles are excellent and having Luigi Logic being used within some of the Boss Battles give it a nice twist. As of this moment, I have 50 hours and I believe I am about to enter the game's final area. At the very MINIMUM, I'd give it an 8/10. At the very HIGHEST, I've give it a 9/10.
