This is such a fantastic timepiece. For me it is absolutely impossible to ever own one but whoww.... just looking at it and admiring the watch is like admiring an incredible piece of art. That is also what i love about timepieces cheap or expensive, admiring other people's watch and talk about it. It is a great hobby.
AjaxForever you such a true watches enthusiasm, I agreed with you bout the cheap of expensive watches, some cheap watch does deserve it own unique too,

Very pretty yet understated. Ive owned a nautilus in the past and loved it, but it was a little small on my wrist, as are most patek watches. This is a very versatile piece however and easily fits under any shirt.
Nice review from a couple years ago, thank you Tim. Agree a man (or lady) could have this as one watch. Personally I'd want a watch with a rotating bezel.
Great review, and I love Patek, and I know there was the recent event in NY but I feel there is a bit too much Patek on this channel lately or am I the only one?
I had never seen 1 in person. So when I ordered and got 1. I have to admit I was underwhelmed. So my next watch will be a 5726 or something with a it more going on. Great review tho.
The Nautilus is my favorite integrated bracelet stainless steel sports but it's so dated: friction fit clasp with clamshell (no double deployant), pins and sleeves, ~40 hour power reserve. I'll give them credit for the updates of silicon hairspring and ceramic bearings.
It is well know that Genta's inspiration for the Nautilus was Casio. Unfortunately Patek has never been able to match Casio's historic financial prominence.

Wow - incredible watch. The level of finishing and detail to detail is extraordinary. Also how do Patek get a mechanical watch to be so accurate: +3/-2 seconds? That's an accuracy of 99.996%! No wonder most people would have to sell a kidney to afford one....
@@vika0194 Haha! Yes, but I don’t think you can get a mechanical watch certified to that accuracy under $200. That said , my gushing comment was made about 4 years ago and I’m a little bit more clued up now. The nautilus is certainly obscenely overpriced.
I would expected patek to be 50 times better than a Rolex in finishing quality, but I still could see some not that perfection with naked eyes, patek a great, but not those tech who's claimed to be trained on their finishing quality control.
Drake 78 Automatic movement, it sounds kinda lame but you always have to set it right again if it doesnt have a power reserve. So after you wake up, its normal when you have a wrong time on it. Just reset it. My Explorer II has a power reserve of 48h. You may read your instructions guide
Beautifoul and excellent watch. But gen on a waitiling list between the 8 and 12 years, they are so many brands hight watchmaking for example Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet does not go with me if people want please them it seems to like foolish NONSENSE.
I just can't help it, but I don't like the design. To me, it looks obviously dated. But not in any sense "vintage" or "modern" or "retro" or "classic". It's looks like it's from the 1970's. It would be improved if they removed the ears. With them I can't help but think it evokes some clunky 1970's era mass market consumer product like a rotary knob cathode ray television set or a Hoover vacuum. I guess I just don't like the 1970's design aesthetic.
That clasp is absolute hot garbage, and the bracelet held together by pins LOLLL, People are paying 70K for this watch you have to be out of your mind even if you can afford it. $37,500 😩 still best sports watch ever made. Great review Tim!
But looks more like 3.750...
Haha, obviously you dont know me ;)
I don't understand why is this a sports watch ? A sports watch is eg. G shock
25.000 usd
Man I wish it was still 37500 lmao
Greta review to the point without a million adverts thanks Tim

Absolutely a gem! Love it

Me too!
There isn't enough Patek! Give us more 5146, 5136 and 5036 with metal bracelets!

Is it the grey dial you have in this video? I can't decide weather to get blue or grey
Joseph Felaco blue
Agreed. No other colour will do.
Blue
I should have bought this watch instead of my car. Only if i could go back in time 😒
Should have bought a delorean.
cars= go down in value over time. This bebby goes up but it doesn't bring you to places
This watch has always reminded me of my casio A158WA-1.
Glad this watch brought back memories!
Thanks for watching!

rolex watches are accurate to -2/+2 and are way cheaper, better built and way better looking than Patek
@@coffeeboyclips1973 No,it's not
jacc88888 sadly in real life neither Rolexes or Pateks live up to these claims. Then again I never buy them for their accuracy 🤷♂️
You do realise watches under 200 dollars also have accuraccy that good?
@@vika0194 Haha! Yes, but I don’t think you can get a mechanical watch certified to that accuracy under $200. That said , my gushing comment was made about 4 years ago and I’m a little bit more clued up now. The nautilus is certainly obscenely overpriced.

Looking like an dress watch, not sport, but amazing
The royal oak looks much better in my opionion.
agree
What type of steel is used here please?
Stainless steel
Can someone help me my Patek stopped while I was sleeping and when I put it on, the watch worked but it was 8am and the watch showed that it was 12 am

Vacheron Overseas 2nd generation blows this away
It’s a shame they discontinued this model with the blue dial
stunning
I feel the design of the nautilus, compared to other historic sportswatches, looks a bit dated.
Unidirectional winding, no hacking, and not all that special. I’ll take my Rolexes over this 100% of the time.
85k CAD overpriced WOW!
Absolutely agree. The hype is all about the design and brand. I’d choose my Explorer over it easily.
this sneaky guy always presses the watch hard on his wrist to make it look thinner
Only three words, expansive, rare and old-fashonied like a Tv Screen from the 70th

If l would be shipowner... 27.000€ for a simple function stainless steel watch...
I'd rather have a rolex for everyday of the week
Patek Philippe are among the finest timepieces in the world for sure, but we are getting "Overdosed" with Patek. Please don't forget about Rolex.
The emperor has no clothes.
Well said
The Rolex guys are amusing. The Nautilus is superior and looks the business. True the Subs own the rap video side of things.

5711 for a 14cm wrist??? LOL

It's too retro looking for my taste 🤨

Thats a womans watch the man who invented it said him self it was for ladies.
I find it looks feminine.
Gentra originally designed the Nautilus for women....
Really ? lol
Tooooo expensive man and I am not a fan of this brand. He just want to sell his stuff on his website that is all.
Erik De Wilde good you liked your own comment cuz no one else will
I dont get patek they are vastly overpriced and most of them are shit looking
agree
