The Nautilus is one my favorite wrist watches and one of the most iconic in the world. This is the best video on the history of the Nautilus. Thank you for sharing.
Adamas Overpriced, ugly 70s gaudy design. Why do people like Gerald Genta design. Whats magnificent about it? Steel, boxy tv dial. Ugly ugly ugly. Marketing hype. Oh but its a porthole....looks like a toilet bowl shape.
Thank you very much indeed. A wonderful introduction to the Nautilus line for me. In fact, I am new to the entire Patel Philippe brand. I am certainly enjoying learning about the iconic Nautilus thanks to you. Absolutely no need to apologize for length of video.Cheers,Carl
You have the absolute best research on your ‘historic’ series videos than anyone. Great job! The only video of this type I enjoyed more (and have watched 5-6 times) is the one you did on the Seiko Diver history. Keep up the nice work bud! 👏🏼
Thank you for sharing the knowledge . I bought the 5711-011. Always thought the white dial is the best looking nautilus. Didn't know they considered the white option since 1978...
The video was not too long. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I never liked the appearance of this watch, but after watching your review of it I have a far greater appreciation of the design.
Great video Armand. Thank you. As for the length of your video I think a video is too long only when more is said than is needed. In this case case the length matches the content brilliantly. Very good job indeed.
love it or hate it, not too many in the middle of the road on this one from the beginning through today. (now in the 5726 love it camp myself). Watched it all (5726 more than once) and didn't seem long to me. Thanks for the videos
hey Armand. first time view and great info. can you do a follow-up video on the movements of the mid sized jumbo 3800 reference? I believe the 335sc was in the early 3800 models however they lacked a Spiromax balance and also lacked the Geneva seal, this was then changed to the 330sc for the bulk of production I believe. can you confirm this? also, you mention the white dial was only available in the line-up when it was introduced in 2012 however, I have seen countless examples of 3800 with a white dial but what's odd is that on those particular models the patek philippe text sits noticeably higher than that of the common blue dial 3800 models. Is it possible to provide some insight on that? great video.
My belief on the 40th anniversary series change in dial colors was to make it INSTANTLY recognizable as a 40th anniversary piece, in contrast to the originals...
Armand, I humbly present an idea for you to do the Vacheron Constantin 222 and the design successor "OVERSEAS"- only YOU could do a video that could do justice to those incredible pieces!!
are you french ? although your pronunciation of some of the brand names sounds a bit iffy, you use french words like "positionnement" which do not exist in english edit: nmv, just found out your name is Armand lol
Excellent comprehensive review as usual. Unfortunately an ugly over priced watch just like the Aquanaut. I don't get Gerald Genta design. Squarish 70s design which is as groovy as the Brady Bunch wood veneer station wagon or brown corduroy flares. If these designs were applied on a Seiko they would be hideous. But because its a Patek, its acceptable to love it? Wake up watch enthusiasts. I'm sorry I dont get it. A steel watch that costs more than $50k. Rape me and take my money Patek !!
Agreed, the most organized in depth video review of this timepiece I have seen. Once again to your style and presentation skill - Bravo!
+F Poynton: Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm glad that you enjoyed the video.
Armand - You never have to apologize for making your videos too long. They are informative and thorough, You do a great job.
+Vince Piro: Thank you very much for the kind words, the feedback is greatly appreciated.

As always, another great horology lesson. Thank you.

Thank you, it was amazing trip!
Great. Your attention to details, movements technical etc is very refreshing, when many only focus on look and feel

Great video as always Armand!
Really informative and pleasant to watch.
Suggest you also do similar videos for AP Royal Oak.
Very thoughtful and well researched documentary on the nautilus 👍👍👍
Fantastic video. Now I want one of these too! = )
Great video, subscribed.
great video and most likely the only piece that could make me a one watch guy! 2006 jumbo series, 3 hand in blue!!!

I've never liked the design of the Nautilus BUT after your exemplary video I think the models with complications are pretty cool.
great video

Although it looks like a high-end watch from that era. it still looks great.

handy summary .
Well so... they are "gluing" in the watch crystals then?
the only patek I would buy
Can you consider the Nautilus 5711 as a dress watch?
If you can afford one... you get to decide
For the nautilus what color of luminoss sir
so this expensive watch is not built for any specific reasons. such as first diver, pilot, war, etc.
are you french ? although your pronunciation of some of the brand names sounds a bit iffy, you use french words like "positionnement" which do not exist in english
edit: nmv, just found out your name is Armand lol
Didn't drag at all! Engrossing, every minute.
uncluttered chrono maybe, however very difficult to read
The design was made in 5 minutes cause the designer hates watches and time 😂
pop shield
Why are your measurements so off?
You keep calling 40mm models 41, 42, 43mm...
3:27...Do submarines have portholes?
In my mind 3700 + early 5711 with first logo are the best
Don't like the Nautilus at all. Like your review though. To me it's the Edsel of Patek

Terry Tudor how about you shove your expensive Tudor/Rolex up your ass.
Patek is for poor people. I would never wear a watch so cheap.
