Mate, you just do in your play sessions what you enjoy doing.
I'm here because it's basically watching a friend explore something you enjoy.
You cringe when they run into issues and hope that they can get them solved.
You cheer when they find something that excites them.
But overall you're just happy to watch them engage with it.
I had to spit take when you got to the "yeah, me as well" after your question if we're excited for Squadron 42.
And yeah, you got pretty good with calling out ship names. I was impressed.
The Perseus is actually quite a bit smaller than the Polaris. It' supposed to be a bit less than double the size of a Constellation (100m length instead of 63, and 50m width instead of 27). It's intended to be controlled by just 6 Crewmembers.
So all in all, if the Polaris fits into the halls, the Perseus will easily do so.
Glad to see another Star Citizen video! Work has been consistently busy so I haven’t been on UA-cam much, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this offered to me by YT. 😊
Not sure if anyone else has answered this , but you can't get on the Polaris in the hall , it's just an external showpiece and you can't rent it either.
However there is a Polaris flying around the verse landing at stations which you can get on and tour similar to how you could get on the Javelin during previous invictus events.
You can see more of the inside of the Polaris too with less blocked off sections which the Javelin had.

loved the episode! good to see Goodish back into the verse. 3.23 had been amazing for me this cycle. been playing it to death again. would be epic to see the star citizen crew back together again. love to see group sessions.

In the starmap when you select something just press R to set route. They definitely need to add that to the visible map controls
Just a note.. the framerate issues while in the Event center were likely due to the Polaris that is on display.... 'everyone' was having 'hitching' issues in there... its likely due to it not being 'finished' so its likely got some odd graphical things that were causing people issues with it being there.
Yeah, ILW Hall is super laggy for me as well. Anywhere else seems to be fine, but the further back into the halls you go, the worse it gets. Leave the hall and it gets better. No idea what's causing that. Oh, that SRV is the new tow truck, the Search & Rescue Vehicle with the massive tractor beam.
The "Gear storage" is going to be part of the Personal Hangar rework. We will be loosing our "press i to access everything" screen.. and it'll be all done via those storage terminals from now on when we are otuside of our own hangars.
I'm a star citizen fan I appreciate seeing peoples opinions lag and all. My vote is keep recording your opinion. I like seeing regulars, occasional, and new player experiences.

Where you see some of those item banks (offline at the moment) there was either aUEC Banking ATM's and / or Aosops Terminals or other terminals.
During Invictus I usually don't log in till after midnight local time to go look at ships.

You're in game during prime gaming time on a Friday on the first day of Invictus during a freefly. You're lucky it even loads. 🤣

You need to remember that every game update will recompile the shaders, after a while the shader compilation is complete and the game returns to normal until the new update. so it's not like the game is bad and has a lot of stutter
The little kiosks that describe the ships have the new quick buy UI for renting. I had the same random freeze issues and the closer to the Polaris the worse it got. I assume it's got some broken asset inside it. You can sit in one of the Connies and use its external ship camera to get a better look at the Polaris from the top.

Keep mind like you said it is still a work in progress and it has not been optimized. You can crank up certain settings in the graphics to offload some of the CPU workload onto the graphics card and kind of play around with the results. It's a tedious way to do it having to go back and forth like that but it can make a difference if you put the time in and find out the sweet spot
Instead of clicking "route" you can also press R.

Be sure to keep checking the Expo hall every couple of days. Invictus Launch Week is running a little differently this year than in the past. Every couple of days they'll be changing out the ships that are in the Expo hall and there will be no overlapping as with previous Expos.
The 99% health thing is a bug (surprise!! 🤣) that crept in to the 3.23 branch; hopefully they'll get fixed soon(ish). Basically, what's happening during you spawning in to your hab bed is that you suffocate briefly, which damages you and lowers your health by 1%. So that's what's happening there. 👍
3.23.1 was pushed out in order to run Invictus - it wasn't active in 3.23.

I think the server was unhappy that you still haven't hooked up the HOTAS after all this time, and punished your frame rate as you were leaving Lorville as a way of getting your attention.... 😂
I lol'd when you were trying to route to Area 18 - had that same issue myself at first. Just so you know, you can do it from where you were without having to type in the search; just hold the mouse over the marker for whatever POI you're trying to route to and press the r key to create the route. Note that it can be a little finicky about it - if you're obstructed it can refuse to set the course, in which case just move the ship away from what might be in the way and then try again. 👍
I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but while you're quantum traveling, you can open the map to see where you are along your route, fuel consumption information and so on.
Drake Defense Con happens during the last couple of days of Invictus, before the three-day finale. Definitely worth checking out along with all the other days - and you don't even have to go so far from the spaceport to get to it. 😀
Pressing "i" for local inventory is going away eventually - those "down for maintenance" gear storage kiosks are how you will access your various stored items at the local inventory.
If you can catch the UEEN fleet during one of your visits to the game, you can see the Polaris in flight along with the Idris (which you can tour the interior of when it's docked at a station). As others have commented here, it's not finished, so there's no way to enter it now. Also, as someone else mentioned, CIG has stated that the Polaris will be flight ready and available at IAE in November. Given their past history with dates, it'll be interesting to see if this actually comes to pass. 😋

Did you switch your shaders to Vulcan? Mostly nVidea cards fully take advantage of it and only nVidea cards can use the DLSS setting.
Maybe next time you can pick Area 18 as your home. It has more stores, items, and amenities, than any other city in the game. The shortest tram ride, Cubby Blast and Centermass for armor and personal weapons, Casaba for fine clothing, Dumper’s Depot and Centermass for ship’s weapons, Dumper’s Depot for ships paints, systems, and utility, and Astro Armada for ship sales.
The lags for me were fine, still smoother than my own gameplay! But ironically you making a big deal about them got annoying. I would suggest turning off Vulkan and some other experimental render options which will probably help, reduce draw distance (don't need them in ILW) etc, it's unoptimised sure, waddya gonna do
if you want stability don't play during super stress test = fleet week. it's the worst time to play if what you want is stability the tourists are more guinea pigs than customers.
3.23 will be smooth again, once the free fly ends . The servers are on fire right now
The low fps looked like you were using Vulkan.
And the sound cutting out is an issue with the Connies.
And on the expo my FPS were fine, but at some point the game started freezing for 3 seconds every once in a while and it kept getting worse until I left the expo.
I am guessing that's what the hotfix is for but it's on a separate hotfix server atm.
You actually did not need to create a new character. On the Confirm screen there is an option to load the file for a previously created character. So you just needed to skip to that and load your old character.
Now, I think either on stream or off, take your time to familiarise yourself with the new systems. It can be tricky. I know that watching you figuring out stuff is content in and of itself, but not every amusement should come at your expense.

I had the same shader issue until I switched it over to Vulcan and turned on dlss only problem with that has been I cant use discord overlay

I might be able to point you to a community once I know more about your desires.
Otherwise the different orgs in the game vary greatly. The larger the org, the more active they might be. But that comes with the drama and systems in place to keep it from tearing itself apart. Which happens in gaming.

Why don't you rent the ships off stream then go anywhere but Invictus. By the why if you look at the video there isn't much of a problem aside from you spewing diarrhea over the game when you talk about it. Most Star Citizens don't give a damn about the tourists just the people that stick around after Invictus.
