Thanks to you and your video I finally tackled changing out the carburetor on my BR700. The choke shaft had broken off. I ordered a new carb but had it for a long time. Just too intimidated to do it myself. Watching your vid I thought once I set my mind to it, took my time and got it done. Don’t have to use starting fluid anymore to start it from a cold start and wearing out the pull cord. Now off to the parts store to get a new spark plug and air filter. Throttle cable I think is lose so I have to see about tightening that up as it idles really slow and other times the idle is normal. At least now I can start it the right way using the choke.. Thanks for the vid.
I have a BR700 where the choke shaft broke clean off like in your video. Purchased whole new carburetor a year ago from a Stilhl dealer and been too intimidated to put it on. Blower bounces around in back of my trailer a bit so assume that’s how the choke shaft broke clean off. I been using “another” method to cold start it and need to stop before I wreck the entire engine. If I leave it at a Stilhl dealer repair shop and it will be weeks not to mention probably $100+. I have to use this blower everyday and can’t wait weeks. Watched you vid so gonna give it a try. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
I have a old Craftsman weed eater that has a dry rotten primer now I know how to replace it when you took the blower apart so I learned two things. Didn't realize how many little parts there are. Great video brother.
Any idea how to get the throttle shaft (the one on the other side) out of a BR600 carb? Typically it should just slide out like the choke shaft did in this video but it seems like there is something preventing it from sliding out. I need to replace the torsion spring.
@@JungleBobRepair There's no c clip on the throttle shaft, it seems like the pump piston might be keeping it in but I can't figure out how to remove the pump piston cover (looks like it is a press in but no way to pull out).
