- Bangkok is not only temples but it has also a modern side which totally shocked us! In this video we hopped on the futuristic BTS Skytrain 🚇 to the heart of the SIAM area of Bangkok! First we visited the open-air Siam Square One department store and headed for lunch to the most authentic Thai cuisine restaurant. BUT THEN THE REAL FUN BEGAN! Siam Paragon and its Gourmet Market surprised us with its lavish shops followed by the best eats along the way! We couldn't miss the opportunity of having a drink in one of tallest rooftop bars so hope you'll watch the video until the very end 😍🥂🌃

I hate when I see Thais trying to scam tourists or foreigners, as a Thai guy with a Scottish gf, I really don't like all scammers. However, scammers happen to be in many countries. I hope in Thailand we will do much better to control all these scammers though.
FYI Tom Yum soup is not meant to be consumed on its own. You should eat it with rice. A shared plate if you will. When ordering Thai food (especially for two people) it is best to order a combo plate like Jayesh did.

Bangkok has the most malls in ASEAN. And most of them are huge. The newest mall to open is Emsphere. And nearby there are Terminal 21, Emporium and EmQuartier in the Sukhumvit area.

Siam Paragon , Central World & MBK are the main malls around there. The cinema & their network ( Major Cineplex ) has a M Pass promotion at Baht 350 per month wiith unlimited movies watchings at all branches in Thailand.

In fact, Padkrapao rice will be more complete with fried egg on top.
Perhaps if you watched a few youtube vids about Bkk before you went to Bkk, you wouldnt have been surprised that Bkk is a modern city, but I suspect you did watch vids on Bkk and pretty much knew what to expect upon getting there.

As a Thai people,I like The ICONSIAM,The Central Embassy and The MBK.The Siam Paragon is ok ,The MBK is has everything good prize and you can bargain,The ICONSIAM got award for the best new development and the location is great, for The Central Embassy is also very nice used to be British Embassy they sold to the Central group, for the shopping mall is looks elegant sell high end imported products.
All the malls were for us super impressive! No wonder they got prized too!

Normally, Tom Yum has to be eaten with rice, it is too strong to only eat the soup without rice.

We Thais eat almost everything with rice or sticky rice😂 Rice will make the taste of the food more mellow and not too strong👍
In Thailand, we eat Tomyum with rice to reduce its strong flavor. Many of soup recipe, we always eat them with rice.

Best shopping malls right now are Iconsiam, Emsphere and Siam Paragon. Emphere and Siam Paragon have their own shopping districts (Em district and Siam center)
All Central group's malls also have high standard such as Central world, Central Pra Rama 9. They are less expensive but they're also fun to walk around. The other popular ones for budget shoppers are MBK, Platinum mall, Seacon square, The malls (owned by the same owner of Emsphere but less expensive). All of them are way better than 90% of the malls in the USA.
Tips for foreigners about Thai food, you can tell the servers 'Mai Ped' which is less spicy. They can make adjustment for you. You can also order the less spicy food. There are tons of not spicy food you can choose from.
What a refreshingly honest tour of Bangkok guys. I like how you express your opinion about things without reservation. Lots of people just say its beautiful, nice, fun, etc, but I can't find the reasoning. However, everything in daily life in Thailand is priced in tens, hundreds, or if expensive thousands. Hundreds of thousands are mainly big ticket items like cars since the exchange rate is 35 Baht to 1 US Dollar. Have a great day!!!

There are customers who wait 1-2 seat, 3-4 seat and 4+ seats.
Less people eat faster, especially lunch hour.
This is the reason your cue is at no time.

In Tom Yum soup, it's not coconut milk, it's fresh milk.
And you should eat it with rice. Because if you are not familiar with spicy food It may give you an upset stomach.

Most of Thai dishes need to eat with rice, Tomyum kung was not suppose to eat solely. So next time order 2 rice for your both and might including thai omlette to paired with Tomyum would be your choice next time. BTW, enjoy you time in Thailand. :)

Here in Bangkok the queue is very important my friends, noone here would dare to cut the queue just because of the go pro or even the Famous Thai Streamers who has hundreds of thousands people are watching them live stream. It's because the 2 seats are free for you guys now and another people they wanted a big family table so they let you guys go inside first.
Here in Bangkok if the stuffs cut the queue for people tomorrow there would be a lot of drama about that restaurant and people would easily banned them, it's a no no fir our Thai culture my friends.
Maybe he already booked before he comes here because look like restaurant has seating for them.
@@muzamark no my friend, I'm just talkin about when he went inside the restaurant and he said the stuffs probably cut the queue for him because he's holding the Go pro. It's because he saw there were a lot of queue and he didn't have to wait.
I means it's just his joke in the video my friend and I just explained him about the culture here that people no no about cut the queue. 😊😊😊
And the restaurant here in Bangkok the queue or waiting time are up to the people you go too my friend, if you go less people it would be a faster queue and the restaurant like that where there are a long line of queues at the front they normally do not let you book my friend. No need for them to let people book while people are waiting to eat and pay money.

Dears,in Bangkok mostly is link from mall to mall , so try to be in the skywalk or in the system. No need to come down to the street.. you will enjoy walking more. Like BTS to Siam paragon-Siam Square-Siam center-Siam discovery-MBK and from Siam paragon you can use skywalk to CENTRAL WORLD-GESORN PLAZA BIG C -BTS Chidlom station-Central’ Chidlom mall -central embassy, mall BTS Plern chit station. These are linked by skywalk. When you exit mall just out from M floor then you can walk relaxing no need to walk on the street

Size of Tomyum soup was bigger than one plate food topped on rice because it's supposed to be sharing. Thai people will have some different kinds of main dishes and everyone will have their own rice plates. Almost all main dishes will need to have with rice due to the extremely intense tastes and spiciness. Without rice/carb, they could burn your stomach. So, not recommend to eat Tomyum alone.
