Knitting for Newbies, Double-Knitting: Invisible Cast On

- This video tutorial will show you how to do an invisible cast on for double-knitting, which creates a really nice, sharp edge at the base of your work.
This newbie really appreciates that you take the time to explain the whys and wherefores. Those who are more advanced should look for a video that says that, not says for newbies, and perhaps they would be happier. I love how you do this.
It's a good video overall, but my god does she take forever to get to the point
It took her 9 minutes to cast on and keep repeating herself We can rewind it if we need to hear it again

Written instruction:
1. Make a slip knot holding both color yarns as if they were one. Put loops on your needle.
2. Make sure background color is at the edge of the needle, where it is first in line to be worked.
3. Hold working yarn colors split, with background color on the bottom.
4. 9:28 Point needle down in front of bottom yarn, come up center.
5. Point needle up over top yarn, come up in front of bottom yarn. (accent color stitch created)
6. 10:22 Point needle up over top yarn, come up in front of bottom yarn.
7. Point needle down center, then up behind top yarn. (background stitch created)
8. Repeat 4-7 until you reach correct stitch count. (Not counting the two slip knot stitches, if your project calls for them to be dropped later.)
Great visuals, but I found the background music to be an irritating distraction. Great examples of work, tho. Thank you.👍
You mentioned in the video that you were going to provide written instructions for the 8 steps, but I don't see them mentioned anywhere in the video or in the description. That would be very helpful.

I will like to see the first rows after cast on. The pattern asked for 10 sts and were 12 sts cast on, how did you end up with 10 again?
You don't use the slip knot. Pull it out when you get to it.

you repeated yourself over and over for over 9 minutes. your demonstration once you FINALLY got to it was helpful, but you really need to explain once and then move on. Just some friendly advise. Not trying to be hateful.
and I wish people werem't so mean about people who put things up for FREE, and they have to pay for the youtube channel. Sheesh. Just slide the cursor over until you see something happening that you want to watch. It's a lot faster than taking the time to comment that does come across as hateful. Try making a video yourself. It isn't easy.
