After the trailer dropped for Journey Across Japan 2 I decided to rewatch this whole series. One thing I've noticed is the incredible amount of chemistry the guest riders have had. I know you guys are all technically coworkers but you have better chemistry than I have with some of my best friends!

there are a few ramen places where i live that make a “kuroton” which is a tonkotsu broth with charred garlic oil. i thought that’s what this was gonna be
it is really good though, i highly recommend it if you ever come across it
That's the same with me as well, and it's delicious. That's what I thought black ramen was, because the "mayu" turns the broth from opaque to grey or black but it really elevates all the umami components in the most beautiful way

But I can imagine giving the editing process to someone else is difficult to handle if you have your own style of doing this. Someone else will create something different. It's his channel after all.
