SIR, YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I SINCERELY WISH THAT YOUR EFFORT WILL GAIN SUCCESS. WE WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU, SIR.
This looks a lot like a brand of owl café we have in Kyoto called “Owl’s Forest”. They don’t have any rest area for the birds, allow people to keep poking at them and I even saw a cage of squirrels in one. What idiot puts a cage of prey animals in the same room as their natural predators?! It was disgusting. They also run a bengal cat and mame Shiba Café. Both are equally bad. They don’t care at all about the animals and only want to make money. The mame Shiba Café was particularly upsetting since mame Shiba are not recognized as a breed and kennel clubs denounce the people who try to force Shiba inu to breed at this small size. Yet the café was promoting a breeder and encouraging people to contact her to purchase their own deformed Shiba puppies. There needs to be an SPCA in Japan and strict animal cruelty laws. From the cafes, to the zoos to people’s pets, animals are not treated properly in Japan. It needs to be fixed.
Another option: tell us the link or location for 1st cafe you went to so tourists can support the good cafes and avoid the bad ones. Maybe that will help the bad ones take notice that we will not support or visit places where animals are abused.

@@beakfordclakington1337 I understand what you're saying, but please keep in mind that as long as there are owls being raised in captivity who are unable to live in the wild, there needs to be a good place for them to live and be loved in their life. Very good idea YK, I signed as well. I'm also software engineer and in my spare time I really enjoy bird watching. I think all the concept of "owl cafe" may look "kawaii" but in fact I am against that. I mean, completely. Owls are really wild birds (and quite good predators by the way), so they have absolutely NOTHING to do in places like a "owl cafe" just to be touched by human beings. Owls MUST Fly and be free in the nature! those ones at the cafes are probably under medication (drugs) chained, that's not a good life. They were took apart from their mothers. Many died in that process..it's sad :(
Humans are in a café because they like it... Owls are in a café because of humans, and humans leave them there no choice... If they want a café with owls, create an owl habitat there; and build a high wall of owl homes outdoors, where owls can fly there on their own and people can sit there and enjoy; No owls indoors...
I'm almost sure I was in the same one!!! in the second caffe! I also tried to ask the staff if the birds are always locked like this but I don't speak Japanese so I couldnt really ask so much. I was excited to go there at first but felt sorry for the birds after seeing them like this. BUT this caffe is not the only place I noticed caged animals in Japan. Japan has the nicest people and it truely is the most awesome country but I feel they don't have much awareness for animal rights there. I find it difficult to understand how they can be so thoughtful towards everyone and yet treat animals the way they do sometimes.
Yes, it is definitely strange. I think it's partly just the culture. There's also a difference between different people, though, even just in Japan. For example, the people at the first cafe I went to seemed to care a lot about this. The second one, not so much.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I’m glad there are more people like minded on this earth that care for other animals. I love owls and hate to hear about them begin abused. I hope your petition does make a difference. Also another thing is don’t go to cafes like the second one. Only go to ones the respects the animals.

Thank you for reading this, we need you for us BIRDLIVESMATTER. Let's force people to stop killing animals
Can someone explain what's going on with owls in Japan? Aside from cafes, I see tons of owls as pets from Japanese Instagram accounts. Owls are birds of prey, mostly solitary apex predators that like peace and quiet. The don't much like humans or even other owls. Keeping them as pets goes against their nature in so many ways. Owls should only be kept like this if there's an injury or something keeping them from surviving in the wild, and only if they've been accustomed to humans. All the social media posts only makes ppl want owls, thus more of them end up miserable in captivity or worse, dead. Because an owl is a major commitment that most people simply aren't qualified to keep safely.
Each owl, being a unique & special critter that it is, needs to be treated like a Disney world character but arguably much BETTER! they need their own personal attendants/handlers per each individual bird to supervise both them & the guests. That way, this person will be like their own personal body guards, adhering to it’s needs & closely monitoring its interactions aka letting the owls ultimately be in charge of their own schedules vs forcing them to be tethered up, which is something that should be avoided as much as possible. If it must be kept in one particular area, then perhaps it can be gently chained up for a very, very very short time, (ie for necessary medical or temporary demos). Care must be taken in every scenario to reduce their stress & maximize their comfort! A professional aviary expert will be keen to hone in on the birds moods, especially if the owl just isn’t feeling the love, like if it’s extra cranky or groggy. They can either remove it from the situation or not display the animal at all. Hey, birds of prey need their weekends/ beauty sleep, too! Especially given that they r, in fact NOCTURNAL! Not sure how much they appreciate those bright lights, either! Sorry this was sorta long but imma dinosaur nerd so I’m automatically a bird geek too 🦉
I went to lots if owl cafes in Japan and most were bad but i specifically remember one i visited in nara that was great. The owls were near other animals but had their own room, and there was someone working there who was making sure people wouldn't touch owls when their asleep. Japan has a very big animal abuse and animal mistreeting problem though and as a foreigner it makes me very dissapointed in the country. In case you don't know already have a look online about how dogs and cats in shelters are gassed to death because lots of selfish Japanese people overbreed to get the specific breed they want instead of just being able to love any animal as a pet. I like Japan as a country but honestly the treatment of animals there disgusts me at times.
Can you give your thoughts about the fox village in Kyoto. Alot of videos show that it's a fun place to go but there are also other videos showing alot of foxes with the top of their head wounded and some were being kept in small cages
Omg .. I wouldn't go to a Cafe with owls. We see them outside our local high school and in the fields. I would not enjoy eating where they are held captive.
The people shouldn't go to that places even the owl's cafe that "look good and don't abuse animals " we need to understand that those animals aren't entertainments or animals that we can touch , they are abused since they are taken by humans
I have a Barn owl and these owls look so unhappy and miserable. An owl should have the chance to fly everyday...Their hearing is so sensitive and loud noises and loud music would be like living in a disco 24/7
I think I’ve been to one of these in Tokyo. Didn’t know what these owls were going through… Edit: I think I’ve gone to the first café he mentioned, which is good Edit: probably went to another café in Shinjuku City
“We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate for having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein do we err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings: they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.” ~Henry Beston, June 1, 1888- April 15, 1968 Naturalist & Animal Rights Activist
What was the name of the first owl cafe that you went to. They are my favorite animal in the world and I want the best for them. I don't want to see them trapped or chained up.

Peta? This guy is HELPING by spreading awareness of the ABUSE people are causing on those owls. THE 1ST ONE IS GOOD FOR THEM BUT THE 2ND ONE IS BAD. ANYONE WHO DOESN’T THINK SO IS HEARTLESS.
Why do we even need these type of cafe? Come on it is not right. Imagine humans caged in the jungle for tigers and lions to prowl all over us. Let these beautiful birds be at their own habitat. Come on stop it these ignorant cafe owners.
I have never been a fan of any owl cafes to be honest wether they are treated well or not… In my opinion they need to be in the wild they are “wild birds” in the first place domesticating them just seems wrong idk owl cafes make me feel uncomfortable

In some cases when the bird is fallen into the eggshell destroyer the chicks also die. We live and suffer on this cruel world. Not just bird person like us, Other animals are too also being totured. As we still depend to check on other abusing animals video we wanted you to join #BIRDLIVESMATTER to make those racist people die in hell, non stop.
So sad... I’ll share now!
Thank you so much! Yes, it is really sad :(
That's so sad😢 ,animals should be in the forest because their original home . That they can go anywhere freely😔😩
EVERY SINGLE ONE of them is abusing animals.
Fuck you
Each owl, being a unique & special critter that it is, needs to be treated like a Disney world character but arguably much BETTER! they need their own personal attendants/handlers per each individual bird to supervise both them & the guests. Sorry this was sorta long but imma dinosaur nerd so I’m automatically a bird geek too 🦉
Thank you! On our trip we are going to go only to a cafe where the Owls are treated well
THEY ARE MADE TO FLY FREE IN CREATION. even the first cafe is much worse I feel :(
I went to lots if owl cafes in Japan and most were bad but i specifically remember one i visited in nara that was great.
Poor birds, owls and others, poor owls, and that one parrot looked liked it was deprived of so much attention.
Owlets are cute and smart, but they are not free at all here...that boy looks very handsome and he is smart and brave to
You are a good person. 😉👍❤️🦉 Let's save animals. Please 🦉🦉🦉🦉❤️☕
Omg .. I wouldn't go to a Cafe with owls. We see them outside our local high school and in the fields. I would not enjoy eating where they are held captive.
thank you for helping this
This hurts my heart
❤ bless you and your work animals shouldn't be abused 😢
Poor owls ! I wish I could take all those owl bbys and take them home and give them warm blankets and take them out
NONE OF THE OWLS CAFÉ ARE GOOD SIR NONE
Fuck you peta member.
@@abyss8190 What?
Let these babies fly free!!
The people shouldn't go to that places even the owl's cafe that "look good and don't abuse animals " we need to understand that those animals aren't entertainments or animals that we can touch , they are abused since they are taken by humans
I have a Barn owl and these owls look so unhappy and miserable. An owl should have the chance to fly everyday...Their hearing is so sensitive and loud noises and loud music would be like living in a disco 24/7
can we get an update????
I think I’ve been to one of these in Tokyo. Didn’t know what these owls were going through…
Edit: I think I’ve gone to the first café he mentioned, which is good
Edit: probably went to another café in Shinjuku City
“We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals. Remote from universal nature and living by complicated artifice, man in civilization surveys the creature through the glass of his knowledge and sees thereby a feather magnified and the whole image in distortion. We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate for having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein do we err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings: they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.”

is it closed?? and the owners in jail?
Thank you so much--your consideration ans work will help make needed changes.
I just did something I never thought I would do until today which is sign up for a petition
Well said yes we need to protect these animals♥️👍🏻👏🏻
Yas! Thank you for sharing
Cursed are these places!!!
Bro I had my AirPods in during class and a ad about this scared me Bc it was the owls screeching
You are amazing bro you are a very kind hearted man...love from india...keep doing your job
Thank you.
This kind of cafe should be banned. Animals & birds shouldn't be used for entertainment purpose.
What's the name of the first Owl cafe? I am going to Japan soon and I wish to visit a good Owl cafe. Thank you!
I need to know it too
What was the name of the first owl cafe that you went to. I may be an exchange student to Tokyo for 2 weeks and I'm in love with owls and I've been REALLY, wanting to pet/hold and owl for the longest time. They are my favorite animal in the world and I want the best for them. I don't want to see them trapped or chained up.
Owls are wild animals, the should not be in any cafe. The best you can do for owls is NOT GOING TO ANY OF THESE PLACES. No demand no business --> Owls in the wild where they belong.
Dani BG
Fuck you peta member. there are some GOOD owl cafes that CARE for the owls.
#savethewowls
That's messed up.
We shall unite to fight those things
Get rid of these. Even if they’re in good conditions.
Thank you 👍👍
I'll really appreciate your feelings about animals.
Hello,
I am Lavesh and I am from India
In India 5th of September is celebrated as teacher's day, A day for every teacher.
I know I am too late to wish but I don't have any medium to wish you.
Anyways,
"Happy Teacher's day "
And your the best teacher I ever had.
Thank you so much for saying that!! It means so much to me. No worries about being late-- it's something I'd want to hear anytime :)
great work. thanks for your concern. owls, or any wild animal, living in the wild is always better I think
Thank you for this informative video
owls should not be chained 😿
Oh great I've arrived at the PETA section of UA-cam
Peta? This guy is HELPING by spreading awareness of the ABUSE people are causing on those owls. THE 1ST ONE IS GOOD FOR THEM BUT THE 2ND ONE IS BAD. ANYONE WHO DOESN’T THINK SO IS HEARTLESS.
Owls deserve to be in the forest flying freely and hunting rodents.
Not if they’re injured and rescued. Fucking retards these days
Which one is the first cafe you went to? I definitely don't want to accidentally go to a cafe mistreating the owls! Thanks in advance!
What were the names of the owl cafes you visited?
Soooo what's happend?
Where is the first one and what is it called? I'd like to visit it someday when I go to Japan.
Why do we even need these type of cafe? Come on it is not right. Imagine humans caged in the jungle for tigers and lions to prowl all over us. Let these beautiful birds be at their own habitat. Come on stop it these ignorant cafe owners.
Is this still happening?
WTF ???? 🤷♀️....the best IS in the wild...the only place to be...
Dude I would’ve tried to discreetly cut the cord and ran out of there, at least one could be saved then
I have never been a fan of any owl cafes to be honest wether they are treated well or not…
In my opinion they need to be in the wild they are “wild birds” in the first place domesticating them just seems wrong idk owl cafes make me feel uncomfortable
