I have been in this cult for 2 years and knew most of these people but only from online communication. It has been two hell of years but what most hurt is the time after that and how long it took to piece myself together again. Thank you Netflix and everyone envolved to publish this! The fact that these people were willing to pay over 2000 dollars for a ten week course with the promise of having their soulmate (and love is just a chemical reaction in the brain) at the end of that, for me that's proof these people were willing to ignore that red flag and many more to come.

This means that sadly abuse and dysfunction feels normal so they don't recognise them as red flags until either things get do bad they can't unsee it, or they go through a recovery process usually with a therapist. Cults use love bombing, gaslighting, threats, isolation and other psychological techniques to lure and brainwash previously victimised people.
As an Indian my blood boils to see this.. These filthy cons use all the new agey symbolism which are actually cultural appropriation from the profound spiritual practices of Hinduism and India. They then use this to deceive innocent people to join a cult. Such a shame!
As a Mother who's daughter has been in this cult for years(they got her at 16 years old which should be illegal to start with. She is now 25)I am hoping this documentary shows the real grief and desperation of the families who are suffering. As grateful as I am to Prime Video and all involved, it did not portray this Cult as evil and disgusting as it is. Time to go to jail Jeffrey and Megan but I do feel for their darling little daughter.

We've been trained and brainwashed from an early age; that we are not complete until we are married, in a relationship, with our soul mate, other half or "twin flame." From our families, churches, television, movies and cult leaders on UA-cam, TikToc, etc, etc, we have been taught that lie. However, we are born complete and not lacking anything in and of ourselves. We don't need another person to make us happy or whole. We don't need "another half;" because we come into this world as a whole person, from day one. Jeff and Twin Flames took advantage of vulnerable people; and profit off of them. Jeff/Twin Flames doesn't care about his followers; but only what he can get from them. Be the best whole person you can be for yourself first and foremost. You don't have to be with anyone else to be complete or fulfilled. You are not a copy. You are unique and one of a kind.

Twin flames have nothing to do with romance, it’s not about being with a lifetime partner, it’s about being in union with yourself. It’s about trusting your intuition and going with the flow, not being afraid of doing things the average person is scared to do. When you meet a twin flame then you will know. It will actually teach you how to not be codependent and truly embody the god version of you! Your twin flame will come through in the end but it won’t be like the social constructed relationships we see everyday. The whole point of the journey is to deprogram yourself and get rid of societies beliefs. It’s about going against the grain and being who you want to be. It’s a beautiful journey, you start loving yourself so much that you are in ZEN mode. Things won’t hurt as much, it’s like becoming an spiritual master (without the narcissism ofc). YOU are your one true love! You can’t find that in anyone else. If you study science and energy then you will see that it’s definitely real.

Got full of themselves for sure but they are good people with a lot of amazing teachings. And some of their teachings definitely are a miss. So discernment is KEY for anyone on the spiritual path. This is not a witch-hunt, if many people have evidence and claims of their abusive and manipulative/coercive control tactics, then they are surely not innocent. And they are making a clear portrayal of the people, if they were so good and great you would not have so many people who would have left the cult.
@@VYVEVideography There isn't any evidence in this documentary. Jeff does go on some verbally abusive tirades, but he never makes any threats. It seems the only real fear that the members have is of, ironically, being kicked out of the cult.

Many cult members are highly educated, but our hardwired need for connection, community and love can lead people to ignore all warning signs. Humans need a tribe like bees need a hive. Add some trauma, loneliness and idealism in the mix, and you’re on the Cult Express.
Join a book club, gym or start a healthy group for people who want to connect on a sane level. Why join a group of controlling narcissistic, who only want to take your money and advantage of you. If people are that desperate to belong that they're willing to give up all sense of self-preservation then they are stupid.

Exactly. This is what all cult research shows - that none of us are immune. Thinking we are actually makes us more vulnerable. Keeping connected with our loved ones and not being cut off from our support systems does have a protective effect.

Crazy. I knew Megan/Shaleia right before she met Jeff. She wanted to go out on a date with me but I wasn't into her at all. She was nice enough but definitely an ungrounded new ager. I saw when she met Jeff on Facebook and they immediately started to brand and sell themselves as Twin Flames. I saw it slowly build up over years but I had no idea it had gotten this crazy.

This was the saddest series I've ever watched. I couldn't sleep last night after binging these 3 episodes; the cult leader was ringing in my ears! How disrespectful he spoke about his so called "clients" calling a woman "The B*****" saying she forked out 4 grand while sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Disgusting! I watched all of the Netflix series and saw puny skinny Jeff and his wife Shaleia contradict themselves over and over. His real reason for asking the Twin Flame Universe to put on weight was so that his wife wouldn't feel ashamed to be in her own skin after putting on so much weight by gorging herself on so much food funded by the recruits. It seemed that he was more ashamed of it than she was.
Thinking himself Jesus was not a good sermon to preach as Jesus did not laze around and only get of his backside when it was time to spend other people's money.

I just finished watching this on Netflix, the way Jeff controlled and manipulated the followers was super dangerous and scary. The way everyone wanted to be on their good side and soo terrified to disobey them was bizzare and crazy. Whole time watching this I asked myself how are all these people who were academically good and intellectuals be buying these couple bullcrap delusions when they had no credentials of psychology or any background on handling a community. I guess us as 3rd party observer, you don't know how the victims felt unless we were in their shoes. We immediately feel and see the creepiness this "cult" possessed their powers over financial gain. I feel soo sorry for the families who were cut off from their loved ones, especially the mothers on this show. I hope this shows blows up and ruin their scheme, went on stalking mode and the TFU is still up and running which is ridiculous!

I remember when i started on the twin flame path, i was very vulnerable and desperate. It was more than about love, it was about feeling whole and truly loving myself. I grew up with very strong beliefs and faith. I just needed a way to regain the faith that i lost. When i came upon Jeff and Shaleia, everytbing in my core was telling me to not follow them. I saw some videos they had and boy, was i right to turn away. The feeling i got watching them was not what i needed. I felt they are so dilusional and greedy. I do thank the twin flame label for putting me back on the right track with regaining my faith BUT i will say that following the twin flame movement religiously hindered me for a bit.
