Well spoken on Javy. I’m glad he’s willing to own up to Javys potential but also his recent struggles, shows he’s not gonna gas up any player regardless of who they are or what they’ve done. They all gotta earn it
My 2nd full season actually watching baseball. I can remember every spring and summer, my dad always has the Tigers on, even if he’s outside doing something. I’m happy to see him finally see success in the team he watches and the ONLY team he has followed since he came here from Mexico. Been a Detroit Sports fan since day 1. LFG TIGERS!! Let’s keep this SHXT going!! Next year let’s get Farther 😤
If the Tigers can somehow get Javier Baez healthy so that he can sit at the end of the bench, be a late inning defensive replacement, pinch run, start against a lefty on occasion, fine. I guess. And it hasn't been "a couple" Hinch.. It's been 3 full seasons of Baez stinking it up with the bat minus a couple of ten day hot streaks over the course of 3 FULL SEASONS.
The Alex Cobb signing is an embarrassment for sure. If I was a 37-year-old with hip issues oh wait actually I am... Only I'm $15 million less Rich. So I know for sure that it's highway robbery.
We got lucky to end up with AJ, now lets get Bregman and Sasaki or whatever his name is and lets go. If you want to give me Teoscar Hernandez on top of those two with Cobb and that's a team ready to go.
The problem is they will not spend money for decent bats.Just watch, next year back to 3rd place and a losing record.I do not buy in for this cheap team.
15 million for one year for a 38 year old pitcher who only pitched 16 innings last season because of injuries. WTF. That 15 million could have gone towards getting a right handed back or a first or third baseman. They will tell you they made offers to players, but they decided to sign elsewhere the Tigers will only sign someone if they’re dirt cheap the Tigers know they can throw anybody out on the field, and people will come to see them that was the worst thing. The tigers could’ve done was making the playoffs and winning a series because now Harrison Ilich can say well look how far we went with what we had and we don’t want to bring anybody in to block our young kids path to the majors well, how do you know those young kids are gonna be ready in the next 2 to 3 years so until then you’re gonna be cheapskates.
In other words Ilitch doesn't want to win bad enough to offer some serious money but soto was rediculous but others were reasonable. Hinch cannot manipulate veteran players to be pinch hit for in the 5th like he can young kids just in the show. That may be the real reason no one still wants to go to Detroit.

@@bullettoothjosh Alex Cobb is as good as it’s gonna get
Yeah cut ties with Bumaez.
@@PaulMoore-og3hynot enough and he'll be gone at the trade deadline.
@@UA-camIsATerribleMediumCobb sure got a sweet deal. I give him until May 15, he'll be on the 60 day IL.
We want Bregman!
🐅🐅🐅🐅🐅
Come on Little Ilitch open that checkbook and get Bregman!
Make a real move

Just think if they had a starting rotation to stay healthy all season. Imagine how scary they could be with a couple good bats.

Keep Baez off the field
Somebody has to carry the equipment bag!

I thought, Harris and Ilich said when they made the playoffs, they would go out and spend some money
Yea back to normal next year. They will not spend, when your so called superstar hits 260 and your ok with it. This coach is full of bs.
I thought, Harris and Ilich said when they made the playoffs, they would go out and spend some money
@ I agree100 percent they won’t do much
Very attractive place for over-the hill-pitchers and washed up bats - not one question about spending real money to improve.
Bad owner

Illitch is too cheap. Mike would be all in. I hope Illitch sells the team.
