Scott, you missed something. My all-time favorite Detroit Tiger has passed away. ROCKY COLAVITO, 91. I remember as a kid when we stopped at Orchard Park Grocery after church. Mom went in to get a few things. The game was on the radio, and Rocky Colavito hit his 3rd home run in the game. For the excitement he brought during his best 10 years, to Detroit and Cleveland, he should be in Baseball's Hall Of Fame! ❤️❤️❤️ If we don't even try to get Bregman, there's Bohm from the Phillies. Somebody said that Dombrowski would want Olson. Well, ok. Much as I like Olson, Bohm is a doubles machine and averages around .280. 😁😁😁 We could still get Scherzer, Verlander, and Flaherty!!! Best of wishes for Akil Badoo. Count me as one who really cheered for him. I'm betting he will get picked up by the White Sox.
Rocky Colavito was a terrific ballplayer. A great home run hitter with a strong arm in the outfield. I recall him going intoi the stands at Yankee Stadium to protect his parents who were being harassed. Hats off to Rocky C. Ray
All Baddoo needs is a batting coach. The entire team needs one. Inside pitch= pull swing middle= pull swing outside black = pull swing two strikes guy in scoring position = pull swing. Hard to watch
I became a Baddoo fan during his first season with the Tigers. He is a very exciting player and brought a lot of enthusiasm to the team. Having said that, it was unfortunately time for the team to move on from him. I wish AB all the best going forward. Good bye Rocky Colavito. Thank youu for the great memories. Ray
I have a few questions concerning the foundation protocol of baseball: 1 Why, unlike other organized sports, doesn’t Baseball have a salary cap? 2 Why do the Tigers need 7 ( number came from the internet) minor league teams. 3 Why is the draft mid season. 4 Why does Baseball have a lottery for the draft pick order instead of worst first. I would really like o know. Thanks!
Of course the Tigers are going to say they're in on Sasaki, I don't think anyone should take that seriously from this management. I don't think lightning can strike twice with the lineup we had this year, people forget how important Minnesota failing was in addition to us playing our heads off. If the only big signing is Alex Cobb we're not going to do much this season. I say this as someone that watched the entire season last year, and I watch the majority of seasons. The ownership isn't putting its heart into this.
If Cobb is our only SP addition this off season I’m going to vomit. I don’t see how he is content with what we got that is horrible to even say much less believe. Even IF we somehow land Sasaki I’d think we should get one more arm the level of atleast Cobb. Makes zero sense to me especially since we aren’t gonna get Sasaki most likely. We have the best pitcher in the game and then like 7 guys that are all 4 or 5’s. I like Olsen a lot but he’s a 3 at best. I love Jobe but even if they’ve secretly decided he’s our #2 that’s Skoobie, Jobe, Olsen, Cobb, and whomever else at 5, with a few okay depth pieces in Mize, Manning, Maeda, etc. That’s just depressing. I gotta think he’s just posturing. Trying to be optimistic and give them the benefit of the doubt but it’s getting harder and harder hearing nonsense like this. Plus we are making even less of a stride on offense where we obviously need bats desperately. I know there is still plenty of time but comments like that really don’t offer much hope to an eager fan base ready to take a step up. Are they trying to simmer the excitement they’ve generated or are we as cheap as everyone thinks? Idk man that was really a buzzkill if it’s true.
I agree with you , I’m trying really hard to be optimistic as well but all these bats are going to start flying off the board and we are going to do nothing bc he thinks our guys in single A are going to be good in a few years 🤦♂️
Hopefully I’m not too late in the day to ask this, but as a non Twitter user, what do you think is the best way I can get news about Tigers signing, rumors, etc? I would also like to see about signings, rumors, etc about the rest if the league too, but mostly caring about Tigers
At least there is recent information for Cobb who just pitch in the playoffs. They have his spin rate for all pitches and he has experience and knows how to pitch. Hopefully it works out better than Maeta.
Try not to get your expectations up And you wont be disappointed Youll be more Meh, ok. Whatever Because thats what this teams owner ship and commitment to its fans and winning is Eh, Ok. Whatever The only hope we really have is The ckeverness of Harris, the Best manager in baseball, AJ Hinch, Mr Fetter makes all pitchers better And an exciting crop of kids who get it done when not blocked by overpaid veterans and given the opportunities Its sad to see so many fans gettimg spoiled by the offseason spending extravaganza fully knowing this regime is anti big spending and only looking for compliments You wanna a debbie downer? Heres a reality check Chersh your time to cheer for Tarik Skubal 2025 is probably his last year as a Tiger The sooner Harris trades him for the future The higher his value remains They arent going to extend him either You can see the signs everywhere
It's clear the Tigers have analytics looking internally at players. What about analytics looking at players across both leagues for a potential fit with the Tigers? At some point, you have to ask, why are the Tigers so trade adverse? Is it patience or a lack of trade partners?
They did not Coach him correctly Baddoo with a smart hitting Coach would be able to see he had the wrong approach, I know for a fact I could fix his approach then Baddoo would be lights out
They will go after other starters it's just they did what wanted in the winter Meetings as for Akil Baddoo I'm glad they are cutting ties with him other than his rookie season his numbers have declined or haven't improved.
A little rich???????????????????. Harris is the biggest buffoon in baseball. We need hitting and the clown signs a 100 yr old pitcher who pitched like crap in the past few seasons. Why not someone who was born after the Vietnam War.
Stop with this "Not like his dad narrative" Lol Please let us know what old man Mike actually did for this team in the 90s and the early to mid 2000s. Nothing.
What are you going to do with Skubal? Here are your options, since he is represented by Scott Boras, who will take him to free agency, where the penny-pinching Tigers will certainly be outbid: 1. Hold onto him, hope he doesn't get hurt, and watch him walk for nothing in two years. 2. Keep him this year, and watch his trade value diminish with each passing day. 3. Trade him now, and obtain three - four top prospects which could define your future for years to come. Love Skubal, would love to see him here dominating for the next decade, but it's time to start dealing with reality.
You hold him at least a year bro we just made the playoffs on his back. You don’t sell after making the playoffs for the first time in 10 years. You add and try to get a ring. 3 prospects does nothing for us and there is no guarantee any of them will perform.
@@SquareLimit Bro - There's no guarantee Skubal will go 18-4 again, or not get injured. Good or bad, it's obvious at this point we're not adding much in free agency, certainly not enough to get a ring. However, you could, at this point, establish yourself as a contender for the next 5-7 years with the right trade. I don't like it either. But for a long-term solution, it's the only option.
The Cobb signing is a joke. The last thing this team needs is an over the hill guy. I'd rather see one of the young pitchers from Toledo or even Eerie get a shot. This organization with Illitch at the helm is one of the worst in all of baseball. I love Skubal. He is a great young pitcher with fire in his bell. But if the team is not committed to signing him, then try to trade him while his valus is sky high. Thisis not what I want to happen but it is obvious this team has ni commitment to the future. Ray
Harris also said they would spend when the core is here...hes full of shit. He didnt spend with the giants either cheap owner cheap gm... thanks for alex cobb for 40 innings what a joke
The ownership of this team is disgusting. It is likely Cobb will be the only move they make. They will die with the terrible torkelson batting .206 4 home runs 18 rbi at first base. Bury javy Baez in the steaming pile of shit that is Lake Erie. This team is garbage 🗑️

My UA-cam recap just dropped, watched yur podcast for 3,000 minutes, tigers lions n pistons are the only thing I live for in life
Based on the Javy comment, if we see the Tigers sign Ha-Seong Kim, we know where that one is headed hopefully.

they need a right handed bat, are these cheap ass team going to get one?
😂
They need a third basemen..
@Thonolan000 his name is Matty V
Welcome to the Chris Illitch era, Tigers and Wings aren’t spending any real money any time soon
I wonder why the Tigers didn't just leave Baddoo unprotected for the Rule 5 draft. They could at least have got a little $ for him.
Do teams have to pay for rule 5 drafts do they ?
@@RaditzAus $100,000. Player must remain on the 40 man roster for entire year, or be returned to original team for $50,000.

Badoo wasn’t going make it all winter
They need another starting pitcher 2 bats and a real closer
Getting players from the used DVD bin isn’t going to make us any better than last year …
Everybody wants SP!!! Besides the Dodgers!
They need an owner who is hell-bent on winning it all. Extend Skubal and Greene, sign Pete Alonso and Ha-Seong Kim and trade for Luis Castillo!
Baez don't want to play..........he is looking for a DFA and retire........
Badoo was hot garbagio,...
