The bride is voiced by Kat Cressida. She is a Disney legend. You should interview her. She is fascinating and has a lot of stories about her youth in Disneyland (while her dad worked inside).
Thanks for the great video (as always)! I learned a lot, including those back stories to Mme Leota and Constance!! You have just significantly increased how much I like Haunted Mansion! Now I'm actually looking forward to the next time I ride it lol
Loved this video! The Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite rides and I didn't know a few of the fun facts you threw in there! Never noticed the Grim Reaper as a kid. Can't wait to go again in a couple of months.
I also liked how he explained the Bride's pearl necklaces and the stretching room portrait. I had no clue! I'm going to have to listen for the Mummy's "voice" next time I'm there!
Wow, as many times as I've been on that ride I never knew the story behind all the characters. Very interesting. I knew the word incantation you were going for but you had a thing about the tin in there. Very cool video.
I actually have that original 1969 Haunted Mansion vinyl album. My mom used to play it every Halloween to scare the trick-or-treaters. LOL (Out of curiosity...I checked Ebay and that album is now selling for $175.00! Yikes!)
I love all of your videos, and your one-liners, and your puns. So much fun to watch, not to mention very educational. I always share my new found knowledge with my friends and they are very impressed. Thanks for making me look smarter than I really am. Lol. Keep 'em coming and we'll be watching!!
Neat trivia thing I've learned from fan blogs: A lot of park goers see the old Attic Bride (pre-Constance Makeover) as a forlorn victim. You can hardly blame them, she looked so sad! But she was always meant to be a black widow. The Hatbox Ghost carries his head like that because of old horror stories about murders hiding severed heads in hatboxes. Originally, the Pop-Up Ghosts, when they were in the attic, popped up from behind hatboxes and shouted: "I do!" insinuating that they were The Attic Bride's late husbands. But without HBG there and after we all forgot the pop culture reference about the hatboxes, everyone just assumed she was an innocent spirit. Constance is basically the same concept as the original, only with everything spelled out for us so we couldn't possibly misunderstand. Not as subtle or creepy, but not a huge change.
I saw your at FanX and I wasn't able to come this year to see your amazing panel but whenever you see this I was there in spirit! Thanks for everything you guys do and also thank you for the info on the mummy he makes a lot more sense now!
I used to be so terrified of this ride as a kid. I really thought the hitchiking ghosts would follow me home. Now this is my favorite. Thanks for the behind the scenes look!
Im a former Mansion Maid and I can tell you, the Haunted Mansion really lives up to its name sake ;) So many fun stories to share! Also, new Churro Challenge for you. Eat all of the brand new Halloween Churros throughout the entire resort!
Of course the bride is the scariest! I love her updated look and how she says creepy stuff! Hatbox ghost was also a wonderful addition! Love her videos guys and love when Chris messes up words.. I do it all the time! Lol
Chris what a great video, from now in I will always buy those Condor Man Posters! Can you do a video on how Disney does its video projections maybe what software is used, etc Thanks again
Hi! We love your channel! I would love a video on Disneyland fireworks and parades, do they offer them year round? We are looking at either a January or March trip :)
This was a great video! My favorite dark ride at any park and I enjoyed the research you guys put into this. I had no idea there were so many background stories for Madame Leota!
Another fun video. I'm such a fan of the manse. They should republish those books and sell them for each park with updated backstories. I think they would sell! Thank you as always for your great videos. Howdy to the wife and child! :-)
This is amazing I love these facts about the Haunted mansion it is one of the best Disney attractions. I just subscribed and liked the video again I absolutely love the facts and information. I just love disney.
Love learning new things about one of my favorite rides. I love this channel. One note please be aware that the G word you used to describe Madame Leota is in fact a slur. It should never be used to describe those of Romani decent. It's also where the term "gypped" comes from, so that's another word that shouldn't be used.
Chris, I love the references to the graphic novels! I don't recall seeing the Grim Reaper, I'll have to keep an eye out for him when we visit in October!
Amanda and Chris!! Will we be getting a top 5 Halloween treats!!! Thank you for the new video as always, and here is my comment and like to help the channel!
What a SPOOKTACULAR list of grim grimming ghosts from the Haunted Mansion. A fantastic way to celebrate the Haunted Mansion's 50 Anniversary! Also, love the reference to Friends on the Other Side from The Princess and the Frog. 😄
Hey guys! Love your video and we loved meeting you at the haunted mansions 50th celebration. I was wondering if there was any way to contact you, we took a picture with you guys hitch hiking with the ghost and the picture never came through on the Disney photo pass. We were wondering if you guys got it and if so could you get it to us some how. We would love to have it. Thanks again and keep up the great videos.
Can you guys do a video ranking these following things the cars outside cars land, the Mr. Toad car you can sit in, the dumbo you sit in, the fire truck in the firehouse, and the vehicle in front of Indiana Jones, as the best cars to take a photo in or in front of
When I was a kid, I didn’t want anything to do with that ride. Now, my 2 boys love that ride. What?! (Chris word...nailed it! 😉) Anyway, loved the info (as always)!
PpP Masterclass. Can you do the same for the 'Most Whimsical' ghosts. Last, I feel that the HBG was constructed ahead of the ability to display the technology needed to pull off the head disappear/ reappear stunt, AND it was too close too the Doom Buggies; thereby getting touched and poked.
The hatbox ghost is George. In the last picture with George in the brides attic he has a top hat on it only make sense since he’s even in the stretching room with a axe in his head.
My family and I are going to Disneyland the first week in December. I will be vlogging the trip and would love to have a cameo fro you if you happen to be there!
I have a theory that walt Disney picked the design of the haunted mansion after the mansions (or my family's) that was 20 mins away from his home. The Hopkins mansion looks almost exactly like the haunted mansion (except clean). It is almost dead on, like i know walt picked the design after another property someone else but all of disneyland is designed after his childhood. My great grandfather is about 7 years older than walt and my great great grandfather who owned the property was like 35 when walt was born. if anyone wants to know, the hopkins owned an oriental trading company that was the equivalent of a billion dollar company. My family is no longer rich because you know, when you have like 100+ descendants that don't know how to make businesses, the money dries up. I can show pics of the house though from the time period. I'm not saying my family's house is the specific haunted mansion house because the houses in the area looked like that but I'm saying that i think he got the influence for the mansion from the properties over there.
The story of the bride is different that I heard of when I went to Disney World many years ago. Our school tour got a private tour of the Haunted Mansion there and the cast member told us this story: the bride was indeed married 5 times, however her husbands all died of different causes except for the last one. The 5th husband she was ready to marry and on her wedding day she found out he left her for I believe another woman. She was so distraught that she took her ring off, threw it outside and then hung herself.. thus becoming a ghost and haunting the mansion. So a few things to point out, when you are in the stretching room and it goes dark and you look up and see a woman in a white dress hanging, that’s her! And at Disney World when you go through the exit, if you look down at a particular spot, you can see her wedding ring embedded in the cement. So interesting the different stories around this ride!
Welcome Foolish Provost
Hatbox Ghost is always my favorite xD
The Grim Reaper always give me the creeps whenever I look at it >.
is it because you both wear hats? XD
THANK YOU TEAM for doing this video!!!! It’s a video I’ve always wanted!!
Why do you not have a Travel Channel show??😂 I love your videos. Hope to run into you all someday in Disney.
The bride is voiced by Kat Cressida. She is a Disney legend. You should interview her. She is fascinating and has a lot of stories about her youth in Disneyland (while her dad worked inside).
She also voiced Dee dee in dexters lab from seasons 2 and 4
Constance was definitely a scary one and so was The Hatbox Ghost. Thanks for sharing that story on her!
Thanks for the great video (as always)! I learned a lot, including those back stories to Mme Leota and Constance!! You have just significantly increased how much I like Haunted Mansion! Now I'm actually looking forward to the next time I ride it lol

Wow, as many times as I've been on that ride I never knew the story behind all the characters. Very interesting. I knew the word incantation you were going for but you had a thing about the tin in there. Very cool video.
I think Constance was a lot scarier as a skeletal-heart-thumping bride 😬
amigurumigirl me too...not scary anymore
Word.
If the bride is #1 then the knight that jumps out at you is #.5!! That specter skares everyone, when he feels like it.
I agree that the ghost bride Constance is the scariest ghost- especially when we see her in the attic.
I actually have that original 1969 Haunted Mansion vinyl album. My mom used to play it every Halloween to scare the trick-or-treaters. LOL
(Out of curiosity...I checked Ebay and that album is now selling for $175.00! Yikes!)
I have the album too! $175 isn't too shabby. :)
I love all of your videos, and your one-liners, and your puns. So much fun to watch, not to mention very educational. I always share my new found knowledge with my friends and they are very impressed. Thanks for making me look smarter than I really am. Lol. Keep 'em coming and we'll be watching!!
Chris! I challenge you to take as many pictures with characters in ONE day! I think that would be a fun video!!!
New to your channel...love it!

The kids were a little scared but helped them realize it’s time to go in for Halloween this year
I enjoy this video now I know the story of the 5 ghost you show and I can tell my kids about it
When I was a kid, I didn’t want anything to do with that ride. Now, my 2 boys love that ride. What?! (Chris word...nailed it! 😉) Anyway, loved the info (as always)!

The hatbox ghost is George. In the last picture with George in the brides attic he has a top hat on it only make sense since he’s even in the stretching room with a axe in his head.

I keep forgetting to sub I finally did this vid
Constance Hatchaway= Constant Hatching = a reference to how she was constantly hatching away the heads of her husbands.
Random thought, ik.
I think that is a awesome random thought. 👍🏻💙💚
Nooo I was late because I was at school 😥❤️❤️❤️
I first went to the Haunted Mansion in the mid 70's. Didn't think any of the ghosts were particularly scary. I thought they were WAY COOL! Still do.
Why did I watch this at night? 😂😅 I’m lowkey scared
The grim reaper always kinda freaked me out.
Sounds interesting a giveaway ghmmm
Always thought in my imagination when I was younger though madame lotte was mrs vorhees head in there
Be safe at fanx thx 4 the great video THUNDERCHICKEN my friends
