As a stylist, I appreciate all this advice you give everyone about how to take care of a perm! We get so many people back blaming us for perms falling out because they didn’t follow your advice about washing it or using bad products. You were exactly right in all the advice you gave.
Permed my hair 3 weeks ago and my hair is like 80% already flat again. I'm disappointed by myself not listening to his advice, since i asked the Salon after the haircut and perm, if they have any advice how i should treat my hair with permed hair(cause i did a lot of research beforehand). The Salo i went said i shouldn't shower and touch my hair for 3 days which i did and recommended me their Shampoo and Conditioner(Milbon Scalp Purifying Gel Shampoo and Hydrating Treatment Conditioner). But they didn't tell me anything else like i should wash my hair with cold water(i like to shower hot which i did till today) or that i should let my hair air dry instead of using a blower on high heat(again which i did till today). Atleast it was a learning experience for me.. Do you have any other advice else then from Cedric or should i follow his advices and be good to go
Sent this to my bf right away - you literally addressed all of his questions, concerns, even used the same example photos he's been staring at for weeks LOL A perm really suits you! Thank you for this
I have flat straight hair as a non-asian and was always jealous of the asian guys wavy hair so I looked up Japanese salons in my area and found that one that can do perms. Do you ever wear a hat with your perm. I started getting a wave perm about a year ago I’ve done it 2-3 times in the past year ( probably due for one in the next month or two) but my job just required us to wear hats now. I talked to my hairstylist and he said it’s okay to wear a hat after the first week. So I guess my question is if you wear a hat how you wear/style to make it look good with the perm ?
I actually haven't worn a hat. I believe you can wear it like normal just maybe if you can don't put it too tight on your head or at least that very first week when you initially get a perm
In this video you mentioned the perm you had was a year ago. How can that be? Within 2 months your hair would have grown out so much that you will constantly need hair cut. How on earth does your hair stay curled after one year? All the curls would have to be cut off during that one year when you needed hair cut.
