I'm reminded of their live album On The Road 1973. They jammed to this same song and it was a fun jam session. My favorite tune by them. I remember buying that album when it first came out. For the benefit of the younger generations The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys refers to speed balls - coke and heroin taken one after the other. The coke gets you up and the heroin brings you down. This is what killed John Belushi - speed balls. The song also referred to record execs ripping off artists - profiting off of their labor.
😢 i agree with you. But the 73' versión of this song is incredible better.
RIP Jim Capaldi !!
Traffic forever
Is it Rock, Jazz, or Funk yeah, it's all of it, it's Traffic !
Steve's guitar solo...just funky amazing.
what's so great about how Steve and Jim developed their skill sets over the years was their other projects with so many artists to bring back into Traffic their signature sounds without loosing the theme of Traffic as a Band ...
Just..❣️
I think this probably has to be my favourite Traffic line up! Brings back very happy memories!!
Fantastikus music, Super band.............
Always think of Steve as a keyboardist & singer, but damn he can pick a guitar.
He's terrific at an outdoor concert in Austin, Texas. Playing his light green guitar, and wearing an orange plaid shirt as the sun sets behind him. On youtube. ☺🎶💙
I saw them 2 days running open for the Dead at RFK stadium on this tour in 1994.
I was at those shows. Saw them open in Vegas on that same tour as well.
The essence of live music... impossible to stay still!!!

one person will be left alone in darkness
Highlight this one:thanks Jim..
First time I've ever drove through traffic on acid 😂
'Jim Capaldi,' R.I.P. Poor soul: was such a hard worker. Richard
No more Traffic, ever. Sad.
I knew Steve could play guitar, but I didn’t think he could do wah-wah as well as Clapton - who seems to have forgotten how, sadly. Sublime!!
I bought the DVD for this one song. The rest are pretty good too!
Still under 15.000:shame...
Birmingham boy!
Sensacional !!!!
I was at the ATL show. It was Amazing. Outside under the stars, only concert better was Floyd at Bobby Dodd.
i saw Floyd at the old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium in 75 or 76.
And this with Winwood...
my parents are in the crowd
Ain't it funky now?
Statements just seem vain at last:):):)
