WOW best show ever shown on tv. I still get goosebumps every time i see SO SAY WE ALL. Just finished my series box set again, going to get my wife to watch it with me next time after xmas. I think about the show all the time it is that good, its left a mark on me like nothing has done before. SO SAY WE ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Will never forget this cast. Looking back on this show and being of similar age to the younger ones on this cast I'll always see this show and their struggles in the context of my own life.

Battlestar did so many different things so right that I think it really should be up there against the best tv; though because it's SCIFI it will never get the credit it deserves.
To me, Battlestar Galactica mirrored real life events and showed that even in the face of the major fear and confusion the world faced after 9/11 that the human race still had one thing driving it...... hope. Hope for a better future and even in the most difficult of situations, the human spirit is the strongest weapon any human can carry. It doesn't the colour, creed, sexual orientation, when united, the human race is one of the strongest and most hopeful people to ever inhabit anywhere. It doesn't matter the mistakes we make, we all eventually atone for them. We make right by our mistakes and become better for them. The story of Battlestar Galactica is about hope. Battlestar Galactica showed me hope. So say we all.
😢 Me too...it was difficult watching Laura in her last moments and accepting Starbuck's true and final fate...there was just so much to take in by the end.
The best series I have ever had the pleasure of watching. It was one of those magic moments were storey telling, acting excellence, and very definitely musical genius come together with exceptional production talent and evolved over the course of the show into this fantastic storey. I just wonder how it can possibly be improved upon in the future.
"How often do you get to shoot a 5 year movie?" -- That pretty much sums it up. Shows like this have made me lose interest in traditional movies. You just don't get the same character development in 2 hours. At the end of the 70-some episodes of battlestar, you have invested so much in these characters that it feels like your good friends are moving away and things will never be the same!
I don't watch Tv, dig movies, however, this was for me, the greatest onscreen entertainment I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Thank you from the deepest part of my soul to all those that had anything to do with this project. This show is what it means to be human/cylon- we are all connected, much more than anyone can began to dream...
Such a beautiful video of a group that showed how imperfect humans could be but at the same time how beautiful those imperfections could be with tolerance, determination, and love. I hope you guys are serious in this video about keeping these connections for a lifetime.

Amazing series. Truly a classic of television. I'm only sorry they didn't make more stand-alone snap-shot movies, as there was certainly an audience appetite. Unfortunately, the show-runners completely lost the run of themselves and lost sight of the prize, either through egomania or hubris and made Caprica instead. Caprica is an abortion that should never have been conceived. Actually it was a separate sci-fi show idea that originally had nothing to do with BSG. The show runners tacked it onto the BSG universe, thinking the shit-eating public will like anything. But they were wrong and it failed miserably. Blood & Chrome had great potential to be a prequel series but suffered from blurry, foggy CGI (like looking through a dirty fishtank) by choice as an aesthetic rather than going back to the established look of Zoic's CGI who made the BSG ships so beautiful and clear.

Watching this makes you realize how attached you've become not just to the show as a whole but also to the cast. I really miss those guys. If they were to get that cast together for a new show I think I'd watch that too, sure as hell, even if it was about working in a sewage plant or something silly like that. :D
Hi. I tried to listen which exact tune it was and I was able to decipher (as far as I could match it) that it is "Admiral And Commander" from Battlestar Galactica Season 3 soundtrack. The same melody played differently can also be heard in "Farewell Apollo" (SE3) and "Adama in the Memorial Hallway" (SE3). It is also in "So Much Life" (SE3). I hope this helps. Also check Bear McCreary's official UA-cam channel for more songs. He has some piano arrangements there too.
Also, yes, insufficient days off almost led to bloodshed. I think the workers on the refinery in particular would be happy to settle on the planet. Where else did they have to go? Their entire goal from episode one was to find a new home. Now, me? I'd have brought the ships to the surface and used the tech to rebuild, but I allow for the fact that they were almost driven to extinction by technology and possibly didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Actually, I rather liked the ending. A show like this could NOT have an ending that satisfied everyone, but to me it wrapped up the story and the theme of the show very well. Perfect? No, but very damn good.
There was a vague buildup, yes, I'll grant you that. It still felt like they were being magicked away to a place where they could be happily ever after.
everything their saying, about the cast being a family, and being one of the greatest experiences of their lives, that totally comes off on the screen. the crews chemistry is amazing. Jesus I'm gonna miss this show :( (SPOILER) My favorite character in this show was Starbuck. To me, she was the heart of the show. And I totally cried when she passed on at the end. Thank you BSG for the memories!
Uh-huh. They're thrown into an utter no-win situation and then they get magicked away to a happy ending, almost in a perfect throwback to the greek plays that coined the phrase. The song was established as being an activation signal, it was never established as the key to jumping right on top of a habitable rock from a specific "naked singularity". Or as anything other than a signal. THAT was a Deus ex Machina. Besides, it was a "god did it", which is an automatic Deus ex Machina.
Olmos should have won an Emmy, he was Great as Adoma!
