Well done! I agree with you that the wear on the body is likely to be worth 10 seconds here and a minute there. I've already wore out too many body parts. LOL
Even young guys will have a sore shoulder turning the crank all day long. The wear on your body is worth the extra time. I know that I wish I hadn't done some of the things I did when I was young. And that's not factoring in the accuracy with the power lift.
Thanks for the video.
I agree. Thanks for watching
👍
Interesting test, not having a mill I had no idea what the speed difference was.
That is probably the most important feature is the accuracy of the power lift. Do the same test again and bump the log with it running and just score the cant using the power lift and measure how accurate each cut is. Cut the end off and do it with the manual crank and then check for accuracy. To me no matter how long it took to get to position as long as it is accurate/repeatable would be worth the extra time.
I agree, accuracy is king. I may end up doing this test again taking in your suggestions. Thanks for watching
Thank you for this. I’m definitely watching go learn and see because i like the powerlifting but its not cheap. Accuracy without futzing is key.
Thanks for watching. Speed is always good but accuracy is king in my opinion.
I say keep running with the power lift....being an old man myself who doesn't need another reason to get tired
I am with you on that. Thanks for watching.
great video. Have you considered geting a mic for better audio.
I apologize for the poor audio. I do use a mic most of the time but may occasionally forget to turn it on. Will try to do better. Thanks for watching.
Missing is the time spent putzing around fine tuning for board thickness.
I agree. In order to be as accurate as the PowerLift you would have to spend a lot of time and you wouldn’t be able to use the Woodland Mills supplied ruler.
