This is awesome. I just started jogging so my HR is normally 185bpm when I run because I’m so new to it. I hope I can get better to have similar heart rate to yours in the future.
I wore one pair of £40 shoes to do over 1400km. A good portion of which were done to 3:15 m/km pace. People cope so hard with shoes. Just run and if your shins hurt - bandage them up and enjoy the pain
Wah, as a beginner runner I’m quite inspired by u hahaha Currently on my taper week 2 before 2XU, hope to get my mileage in, hope I can get sub 1:45 for my HM
Thank you for sharing your training week, I found it inspiring and really loved your insights & honesty. Going to implement the core workout too. I have a question about your easy days, is it better to use heart rate or pace as a guide, as in this video you follow heart rate. Thanks & look forward to more of your content!
For easy days, a lot of ppl will say heart rate but i think its the pace that matters. U ideally wanna be running at LT1(upper end of zone 2) which is the 80% of weekly mileage. U can find out this pace using 75% of max hr or the heart rate reserve method. Once u get this pace u shd run at that pace. Hr will fly if youre hot/ dehydrated/fatigued. So i think following pace is more impt. (At LT1)
It's crazy to me that you can run indoors at 30+ degrees celsius! I am from the USA but I live in China and I am still not adapted to how hot the summers are in East Asia. I think maybe you guys have better heat adaptation than me. But I generally have better cold tolerance during the winters in North China compared to my Chinese friends.
I start running and i am at second month for me is good up to 50 km per week currently. At my 16 age i used to run up to 21 km 1h 42 pace. I start runnig after 7 years inactive in sport. keep it up
your video just randomly pop up to my feed, nice effort man... may I ask how old are you? and how long have you been running? it's amaze me that you can run at pace 6 with 110 avg hr only! I'm 44 yo and pace 6 is already my tempo run with 175 hr! it's like heaven and earth difference! 😂
Really great video! Since you run with your glasses (like me) do you have any tips on how to keep your glasses from slipping down your nose while running or does that only happen to me?
220 km I could never 🤯😳 lately I’ve been doing 100 km weekly, could probably do 120 without any problems but more than that would be a struggle I think. I also do two runs in a day very often to make recovery easier. But wow.. 220 km in a week sounds crazy. But I’m sure it would be doable if I didn’t have a full time job 🤔🤔🤔
You might need to take take in more electrolytes during your week, I think that could reduce the cramping. I bet you could do the 220km week if you build up to it very slowly!
if you do track seriously like yourself (and me) can you use the kallang 400m track? how does one get access to the track if you take running seriously?
This heart rate is impressive during your easy runs. I just started and it's much higher (and during much slower running). How long have you been training ?
Having clock so much mileage do you suffer occasionally from Shin Splints or runners knee? looking at you doing 4-5mins per km pace, while im like 10mins per km pace omg.
what ear muffs are you wearing? and why are you wearing ear muffs when running on treadmill? also are you wearing different shoes for indoor and outdoor?
hahaha about 50-60km only cos i still swim and bike. i do at least 3 runs. 2 hard intervals and one 18-20km long run. some weeks ill do an extra 1hr+ moderate run.
Wah see you there i guess but my knee has issues for over a month and only started running against last week but it came agn few days ago not sure if I ramped up too fast but hurts when going down the stairs gonna go see the doctor but wont be able to run a good half marathon but still see you there at 2xu HAHAHA maybe I'll run the first 10 if I even can then walk the rest ah
@@aaroiseverything HAHAHA something liddat, ok but still super happy I completed 2xu without walking, hopefully I can see a glimpse of you in future races HAHAHA
You cannot just decide to do a 200km week...you have to build up to it week by week. Not surprised you didnt make it.Even 100-120 km a week is hard.Do a few higher milage marathons training blocks and it will get better.
Bro Running on Treadmill and Running on Road or Ground are two different things... Treadmill Run is very easy to run but on Road and Ground its very difficult thing...
I find treamill running much more harder. When running at a faster pace I find it hard to stay in the middle, also it is more boring, I like to run on nature or in city. Futhermore you don't have natural air blowing at your entire body even tho treadmills have ventilators, they suck, and I tend to sweat a lot very quickly. After 15 minutes on treadmill I look just like I would took shower. I heard people opinions that they prefer running on road and they are faster and more efficient there - like in my case. So it just depends on the person.
Hidden UA-cam gem, great work brother. Keep going!
Thanks for inspiring me on my running journey, now only running 40km weeks haha but progress from before, thanks so much
😁 welcome!! 40k is quite good!
“Only” 😒
I really enjoyed this… I think you did a great job!
Jiayou & enjoy the grind. I think I saw along Kallang Riverside :)
All the best for 2XU!
Very underrated you are good at making content! Keep it up and if you are consistent you will be big
Really nice and authentic content ... keep running !
This video not only scratched my itch of running content, but also I got to enjoy the sights of Singapore! Sweet!
this video is awesome man, nice work !

Hope to see you at 2XU :) You inspired me to start running!
wowwww welcome!! :D and cya
220km a week I would go broke from the shoe wearing

Time to upgrade yourself 💪💪💪

How did u do!
@@aaroiseverythingpretty bad lol, 1:50, cause I got blocked by some slower runners in pen C 🥲
Crazy you attempted running 30k holding your phone, respect!
This is actually harder than what Eliud is doing since he's faster so he finishes that distance in much less time.
+ Eliud is used to it
Actually its the same effort as eliud. Same duration but he goes further!
@@aaroiseverything how do you know the exact duration of his runs? just curious.
@@heyy8969 i found a few youtube videos!

Mans a mad lad
nice work
220km is very high. The most i did was around 108km in a week and with super shoes - the Adidas Prime X2 Strung.
Wow haha if you are average then I am damn slow 😅 You're a beast man, hope I can see you at 2XU and take a pic!
Did u manage to see me haha 😄 if not maybe next time ;]
man u live in such a nice city for running

i think im one of the least heat adapted athletes here. my heart rate is about 20-30bpm higher in the heat than in air con🥲

loved this
Respect the hot and long indoor runs 💀 I’d never

Great video! Any recommended shoes to wear to run? And how often do you change your running shoes?
I really like the saucony endorphin shift 3! Nice thick midsole to protect my knees. Hmmm usually until the shoe is broken then ill change it
@@aaroiseverything Thanks!!
Next time try Kiptum’s 300km week
That is insane mileage
Thats what it takes to be the marathon record holder. Respect 🫡
hello, really enjoyed your video.
was wondering what watch you are using? 🙏🏻
Garmin 935!
Just how you could maintain thath HR while running in SG?? Super. (i'm from one of your neighboring country, so... wondering)
Hmm i think its because the heat makes my HR super high but the effort remains comfortable and quite conversational
if you do track seriously like yourself (and me) can you use the kallang 400m track? how does one get access to the track if you take running seriously?
I've been asking ppl inside to open it for me haha

About 10 years?
@@aaroiseverything Makes sense ;) Thanks for the video and motivation to keep going, have a great week.
Do you drink any water on your runs oner 60min? And have some electrolytes? With the temps in Singapore, that'd definitely make a huge difference.
Yup definitely around the paths where theres free water stations!
Having clock so much mileage do you suffer occasionally from Shin Splints or runners knee? looking at you doing 4-5mins per km pace, while im like 10mins per km pace omg.
Shin splints long ago in high school. Runners knee about 2 years ago. Now everythings ok i hope hahha
