Brother vs Brother, Between Dante and Vergil, Old Rivals, Between Ryu and Akuma in *Ultra Street Fighter IV,* *Settling Old Scars,* Between Maximo and Baron Hawkmoor in *Capcom's Maximo vs Army of Zin,* Viewtiful Joe vs Alastor and *The Epic Final Showdown,* Between Chris Redfield and Sheva vs Albert Wesker in *Resident Evil 5.*
Honorable mentions Final Fantasy X - Yuna’s sending Elden Ring - I am Melania , Blade of Miquella Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth kills Aerith Final Fantasy X2- Thousand Words Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - No Promises to Keep Spider-Man 2 - Venom’s rampage Halo Reach - Nobel 6 last stand
I would have added the battle simulator scene from Crisis Core with Sephiroth, Genesis and Angeal. It's my favorite to this day out of that whole series.
I was hoping for an ME3 entry, but I wouldve chosen when the reapers invaded earth and shepard leaves. The music, the stakes, the terror. the motivation. It was so good
The final cutscene of Final Fantasy IX, I was crying tears of sadness and then tears of joy at the end. The won’t say why in case of spoilers for others, but to this day it is still my favourite FF in the series.
I would give mention to 3 more: the ending of Assassins Creed IV, when Anne Bonny sings and Edward see all of his dead friends before meeting his daughter. 2. Death Stranding when Cliff gets to see the man that Sam becomes one last time before his death. Mads Mikkelson and Norman Reedus are so damn good in it. If you don’t tear up at that, you have to be dead inside. 3. Red Dead Redemption: The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed, you know the rest.
My favs: * Crisis Core - Final scene * Crusader No Remorse - Intro * Dawn of War 1 & 2 - Great intro's to both * Fallout 1 - Intro. Quite chilling. * Final Fantasy X - Both the intro and final cutscenes were excellent * Full Throttle - Easily one of the most kickass intros of all time. * Mechwarrior 2 - Intro * Red Alert 1 - Intro * Silent Hill 1 & 2's intro's, both equally outstanding. * Starcraft - Space station cutscene * Syndicate (93) - Legendary intro * System Shock (original) - Intro * The Darkness - Watching to Kill a Mockingbird with your girlfriend on the couch in all of it's 2 hour entirety (if you so choose to not end the cutscene). * Witcher 3 - Ending of Blood and Wine
The ending to the fight with Maruki in Persona 5 Royal. After listening to "Throw Away Your Mask" during the actual fight, the triumphant reprise of "I Believe" might just be one of the best "good guy song takes over" moments since Victor Laszlo told Rick's Café's band to "Play La Marseilles. PLAY IT!"
Some other honorable mentions I would put in: - The Normandy’s destruction (Mass Effect 2) - The Bad News (Horizon Zero Dawn) - “The game was rigged from the start.” (Fallout New Vegas) - “You have no honor.” “And you are a slave to it.” (Ghost of Tsushima) - White Phosphorus (Spec Ops The Line
A few more mentions: 1. God of War Ragnarok - Kratos and Mimir comforting Brok after learning about Sindri’s horrible secret. 2. Uncharted 2 Among Thieves - Nate and Tenzin find the heart of Schafer’s research, and learn the gravity of the Chintamani Stone situation. 3. Ghost of Tsushima - Masako laying her sons to rest, and honoring their memories. 4. Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End - Nate and Sam chat about their mother with her employer, Evelyn. 5. Red Dead Redemption - John sacrifices himself to save his wife and his son. 6. Cyberpunk 2077 - the voice mails of the suicide ending, especially from Judy
Let's not forget AC Revelations in which Ezio finally meets Altaïr in his resting place: The Masyaf vault, 300 years after his passing and unveiling the last Masyaf key along with the Apple of Eden.
The cutscenes that hit me the most are Meryl’s death if you choose to submit to Ocelot’s torture in Metal Gear Solid, Jack (Raiden) reunited with his family in MGS4, and Sarah’s death in The Last of Us.
One of my favorites is a classic from a pc game I doubt many here have played. Thief: the Dark Project. The game has several good cutscenes but most tense is the reveal of the trickster, and Viktoria plucks out one of Garrett's eyeballs.
FF6 Opera scene was cinematics before there even really were cinematics. And a good one. I think, for the Last of Us, the scene with Joel and Ellie after David is way more meaningful that really anything other than Sarah in shaping the story. Watching the whole of Dreamland fracture in Kirby Super Star when you perfect the timing on the punch minigame the first time is dope as hell. Any pre dual cinematic from Ghost of Tsushima would do. Short but you know its on like Donkey Kong after. Tommy's death in Mafia. ME1 the cinematic when you leave on of your squad after making your choice. No spoilers needed for the real ones. The moon crashing in Majora's Mask. The opening scene of the first Super Smash Bros on N64 with all the character dolls coming to life. Dom's sacrifice. We will leave it at that. Totally missed the twist from Spec Ops. Speaking of military stuff, Shepherd's betrayal Getting shot in the face in New Vegas. The Mindflayer Tadpoal insertion in BG3. Discovering **you** are Revan. The wedding shooting in GTA4. There's a ton of stuff that could have swapped places with 2 of the Metal Gear picks here. I actually prefer the "limited to one game per series" in these longer 20 counts because this really feels like yall were riding some Metal Gear dick. Just because there is like 294 hours of Metal Gear curscenes doesn't mean that you need to occupy 15% of a top 20 video wirh them if there are better choices.
@@hardcorevictor2552A lot of cutscenes are comparable. The second game tells a far more complex story. But I still might give the best cutscene in the series to either Sarah’s death or Joel’s lie.
@@iamskyfall "The second game tells a far more complex story." What ? You are the heroe of your own story and the bad guy of the others ? The first game already taught us that, we didn't need to play through the perspective of an unknow character to understand what we already knew. That was useless. Who give a heck about the daughter of a random NPC no-one even ever cared about before that game was released ? The Fireflies wanted revenge ? No sh*t Sherlock ! Do you really think they would be friend with Joel after what he did in the first game ? Don't need to be empathetic to guess how they feel about it, we didn't need to play as one of them to know something that obvious ! Is that your definition of "complex story" ? "But I still might give the best cutscene in the series" this is just a Netflix like teen-drama that tells a very cliché revenge story. And the ending is like if Beatrix Kiddo would have killed everyone except Bill at the end.
I think The Last Of Us Scene where Joel goes to find Ellie and rescues her from David deserves an honorable mention as well. Also liked the cutscene in Devil May Cry 5 Brother vs. Brother too and The cutscene in God Of War Ragnarok with Kratos telling his son Atreus a bedtime story too. That was really good! Nice job on the video too!
This TLOU one was def the biggest hit. I've only gotten to play it semi recently as a PC player so it's still fresh, but when Ellie says something like , everyone leaves or dies except you, and he's the only one that makes her feel safe. Was just a gut punch.
Almost every cutscene from Red Dead Redemption 2 should be included. Like the death of Arthur and his horse, John and Arthur's farewell scene, John's American Venom from shooting 3 guys to killing Micah. Also the ending of Ghost of Tsushima where the Ghost kills his uncle. And Ezio meeting the grandmaster Altair. You missed alot.
I was gutted when Anderson died in ME3, and the way he died as well was just heartbreaking. I know it's an old game but I won't put spoilers here (I only just completed the Legendary Trilogy myself this year and am glad it never got spoilt for me.)
There are a dozen better cutscenes for the Final Fantasy Series then XVI's. FFIX Bahamut vs Alexander, FFX opening Sin destroying Zanarkand, or my personal fave, Dissadia the Heroes vs Villians.
Metal Gear Solid 4, Big Boss saying his proper goodbye to Solid Snake. Spiderman, quit killing Aunt May. Devil May Cry V, great action, but Sony addition of sunrays were what made them a joke. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill made legendary works of art. MGS3, The Boss end was a difficult decision to make. RDR2 was epic, but losing Arthur was devastating.
Metal Gear Solid 4 would have been THE most meaningful since their Japanese VA's of Big Boss (Chiako Otsuka) and Old Snake (Akio Otsuka) are real life father and son. (they made up before Chiako Otsuka passed away)
A very rare hot take : even the brothers reuniting in the end of DMC5 was very beautiful but nothing beats their cutscenes in DMC3 mission 7,13 and 20 (so basically any of the DMC3 cutscene shoul've been added to this video, DMC5 is more modern doesn't mean it must added) anddd yessss alsooo literally any cutscenes of the greek saga god of war are like 100000 times better than 4 and ragnarok (womp womp + cry about it) so easily they also deserve to be in this list

You missed alot like john martson standing aftet being shot 21 times then "honor died on the beach" in ghost of tsushima and last "our time has passed john" dutch deaths all 3 must be on the list
From this list, i guess the Last of us. But there is one more that i can never forget, the one where Ares throws a spike and nails Kratos to the wall of the temple from miles away.
I Absolutely Love THE Best Epic Video Game Cutscenes of *Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening and Devil May Cry 5,* when Dante gets into a Epic Showdown with his Evil Villainous Older Twin Brother, Vergil! I NEVER get tired into watching that!

Disagree, the high honour ending makes sense in the story, as it is the perfect full circle moment to Arthur’s redemption, aka the main plot of the game
Nothing from Dragon Age: Inquisition? 😕 Between the hymn in the wilderness, and "Your leader! Your Herald! Your INQUISITOR!", if you're not emotionally wrecked by the time you retake control of your character to get your first look at Skyhold, I don't know what to tell you.
Lots of good one's were missing and some of these weren't even that great... The ff16 had far greater cutscenes, like the fight of ifrit and the phoenix... And lets be honest, the OG Aerith's death not being here is disappointing to say the least.

Final Fantasy X - Yuna’s sending
Elden Ring - I am Melania , Blade of Miquella
Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth kills Aerith
Final Fantasy X2- Thousand Words
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - No Promises to Keep
Spider-Man 2 - Venom’s rampage
Halo Reach - Nobel 6 last stand
Yes, agree on all of those.
Sephiroth killing Aerith in Rebirth is kinda messy and convoluted. Nothing beats the OG.
Remember Reach
Seriously how is Sephiroth killing Aerith not on here. That may well be the most famous videogame cut scene of all time.
Lee’s death in The Walking Dead telltale series never gets mentioned in any of these videos… Such an underrated scene
I’m just glad they put in the og Peter Parker for the Spider-Man cutscene
Idk how the ps5 face looks so bad in the first game but not as bad in 2nd

I like the new face but I do miss the old one
