Handy hint, don't tell your kid to run. Contrary to instinct, that's the worst thing to do. Sudden movement or loud noises scare them, and cause them to attack. I am a kindergarten teacher, so I deal with this every summer. If a bee/wasp/hornet comes in, everybody is taught to sit dead still and be silent. Raise your hand slowly, and in a quiet voice say "Teacher, wasp." I then get a paper cup and a sheet of card and slowly trap it then take it outside and release it. Telling kids to run sets off their panic alarms, so they start flailing and screaming, which triggers the insect to attack. Teach your kid to respond calmly and quietly. Your kid is 10,000 times bigger than the insect. The insect is more scared of them, and that's why it attacks. When your kid responds calmly, then so does the insect, and catching it and removing it is easy. If you're going to do videos like this then think ahead. Make a little metal box that fully entraps them, rather than leaving gaps. And DON'T have your kid hanging around. Show them the video later. But FFS, do not bring them into the area where things can hurt them. That is seriously irresponsible parenting. If a bee stings you, it can only do it once. But if a wasp or a hornet stings you, they can do it again and again, and the worst part is, when they do sting you they release a pheromone that attracts their colony to come and help, so you are just making things worse. You are inviting their whole family to come and help make things worse. Seriously, this is such a stupid video. Yes, it's interesting, using electricity to deal with the nest, but as far as safety for the child, it's downright stupid.
Anyone who feels bad for hornets and wasps doesn't understand how crazy vicious they are towards other insects. They deserve whatever torturous death they receive.
lololol lolol Actually I said, "Put my girlfriends mom IN the hospital today." As in the hornets that stung her had put her there. As in she was in a ton of pain and almost died. But, yeah. You're hilarious. Give yourself a cookie.
It's definitely something to be discussed about whether we should kill hornets or not, they do have little value, people use this as a excuse to kill every single hornet. But the people who dislike are the ones that think that hornets are completely fine and that they shouldn't be killed, but in reality, hornets really are "kinda" misunderstood. I think we should more regulate their population then kill them all. Any further questions I will try to answer.
@@TheRedJayy thing is no one's saying we should drive hornets to extinction. It's fine to have them in the wild. Having them in houses and urban areas - where they could be a hazard to people - is the problem.
TheRedJay - Gaming That’s very true. But he’s not advocating hornet extinction, he’s just clearing a nest from the side of his house. People will act like every single living organism should be preserved, but they’ll squash any flies or spiders they find in their house.
@@augustovasconcellos7173 My mistake, I probably exaggerated on that statement, I wouldn't agree too much on the fact that the hornets are hazard to people, UNLESS you are talking about when they do bad things to the environment, which more unlikely to happen in a urban area, because most hornets/yellow jackets typically don't like living in a "noisy" area. Now, if they are, they will only attack if you disturb them, like trying to kill them or even get to close. Something to note is that they also sometimes like to live in tall areas, which isn't seen in this video, but it's more likely to happen more in a urban area. Now if people get attacked, that is most likely their own fault, mostly because they either got to close without paying attention, or if they tried getting rid of the nest.
Because he displayed a complete lack of understanding of the dangerousness of the situation and also displayed a terrifying lack of understanding of verbal commands. Dude clearly had to say stay back, stay away until it turned into omg run bud run!!! Which would have been avoided if he had listened the first time. I shudder to think what would happen if you told the kid to stop running because a bus was coming...would he listen then? And how many times he did he repeat the line "can I try?" definitely more than once which means the first answer didn't compute at all. I like children and have nothing against them at all but we must be honest with ourselves and admit there is some level of natural selection going on here in this video.
People dealing with bees: Be careful, they pollenate flowers and help keep our ecosystems healthy People dealing with wasps: Rip and tear, until it is done
Wasps pollinate flowers and fruit, plus unlike bees they eat aphids, flies, beetles, caterpillars, spiders, ants, and also dead things lying around. Wasps are also food for things like dragonflies, weasels, lizards, mice, and especially birds. Think of them as knights with pretty small swords. ;)
No, they are from the people who find this guy irresponsible and stupid. His kids were not supposed to be there. Secondly, these insects are not to be killed this way as it produces even more nests.

Not to mention towards humans. Put my girlfriends mom in the hospital today. (She had multiple, multiple stings. Those bitches hurt.)
They kill honey bees as sensless as we kill them. So what's your problem with it?
i rather have a prolblem with monotazing such shit
+RgWskate you put her on hospital? that's what you said
lololol lolol Actually I said, "Put my girlfriends mom IN the hospital today." As in the hornets that stung her had put her there. As in she was in a ton of pain and almost died. But, yeah. You're hilarious. Give yourself a cookie.
How to overcome fear of insects:
use electric fly swatters
There really are 40 thousand people out there who thought this was an absolute horrible act of cruelty
Not really... they're just coded to do it, they don't care what the video's about.

Every video about killing bugs gets so many dislikes. We have reached that point
This comment does the best job of explaining the human condition.
I guess I should have done this instead of torching my house...

Υοu guys are judging a kid for just being a kid, wtf is wrong with you.

People dealing with wasps: Rip and tear, until it is done
Wasps pollinate flowers and fruit, plus unlike bees they eat aphids, flies, beetles, caterpillars, spiders, ants, and also dead things lying around. Wasps are also food for things like dragonflies, weasels, lizards, mice, and especially birds. Think of them as knights with pretty small swords. ;)
