Great videos. Q - How can we assume that the pipe identified at 3:25 is a branch, when we can't be sure that it meets the upstream connection requirements stipulated in the definition (a SOW stack or a junction of two or more SOW pipes)?
I simply identified it as a branch so I could further expand on the branch definition. I didn't feel like over complicating the picture with an actual branch connection on the upstream side.
In the branch drain chapter It wasn't clear if the building drain extends upstream laterally past the first SOW shown, or if it terminates at the the vertical offset of the t-wye assuming there is not another SOW downstream. Thank you for your passion and diligent work teaching future Plumbers.🪠
Building drain starts at the 'Main Stack' and ends at the building sewer, covered in video 1 of this series. This video the building drain is only mentioned at 3:31, there are no building drains in the branch examples before that point.
bro ur insane. i hope ur plumbing career is going great. your helping alot
Very great video ,
I really learned a lot ,
You are the best teacher, please make more videos in code 👏👏👏👏
I have 6 videos in Basic DWV, and 4 videos (Level 2 DWV) where I go deeper into the code. I got more to go.

Excellent videos. Is there a list somewhere of all videos you made so we can watch them in the best sequence. Thank you.
Your Tee Y is really called a Sand Tee. Great content, keep up the great work 👍.
Same thing bud
Sand tee? You mean Sani tee. As in sanitary tee
@@tycobb8621 Sand tees are delicious

I think it's just a provincial thing. I know in Ontario tee's are referred to as tee wyes . We call them tees in BC.
thanks a bunch, I was looking for a quick review and this was perfect!
2:13 I thought we cannot use a T -Y on a normally horizontal (2.2.4.2.1)
It's a vent, therefore you can use the TY. Some jurisdictions want to see a Wye there, but that is over and above code.
Awesome job on all your videos!
i Love these videos
